Not sure about Susie's short breads but I think Cows and Beavertails are on the opposite end of the waterfront boardwalk from the cruise dock. They are not too far away.
I wouldn't do Susie's. The food is actually terrible. Think still wet at the core cupcakes. Beavertails is by the Maritime Museum and Cows is further away by the Marriott on the waterfront.
I just looked at the Blue Nose Side Car tours. Looks like a lot of fun! Looking at the pictures, it seems that the side cars are for only one person, is that correct? So, if you are a party of 3 then there will be 3 'bikes' (side cars...whatever they're called?)
What did you do in Saint John? I cancelled our railway tour based on the info I read here so trying to create a new plan!
I was watching the food channel and they visited a restaurant in Halifax that serves BBQ called Boneheads. Is that still there?
Oh boy, it sure is.

If you are a party of 3, it's one person per sidecar & the 3rd person would ride on the back on the motorcycle. You can take turns who sits in the sidecar & who sits on back of the motorcycle. Email them with questions on how many rigs they have. We had the married couple that owns the company. They are a small business & I always prefer supporting small companies when possible. You get more personal attention. Check out the photos on their website:

In Saint John, we did Disney's excursion to the most famous site in New Brunswick & a UNESCO biosphere: The Hopewell Tidal Rocks. It's a long bus ride, but the tour guide does a great job of narrating on the way up & letting people snooze on the way down, but does do some narration on the way back too. It was worth it to us. It's an amazing place--nothing else like it. The tour guide there was also fantastic. Lunch was delicious & we even stopped at beautiful covered bridge on the way back.
Oh Please tell us about it and what you recommend! Always want to try a good restaurant.
Thanks!
Lori
Yes, I'm sure you are correct since you obviously know a lot about the Citadel. I'm just relaying the comment and interests of those who choose this tour. A lot of seniors, some with mobility concerns. Many on this tour just wanted an overview of the city. Sort of like when people visit NYC on a tour and just spend an hour or so at the Cloisters, Met or Natural History Museums, where a local could easily spend the whole day.
I'm a local, and 30-50 minutes at the Citadel is perfectly acceptable!
We're going to be on the July 15th cruise and can't wait! Although less than a month away and I still haven't planned our itinerary. Glad I saw the postings about the railway tour, something we thought about doing!
I was on the Alexander Keith's website and saw that they have tours staring every 30 minutes in the summer. I couldn't find the Port Adventure on the Disney site anymore, but through the brewer's website you can get a family pass (2 adults and 3 kids) for $44.95. I am thinking we do a Hop On Hop Off and when we get near the Citadel walk over to the Brewery. According to Mapquest they are not too far from each other.
Thanks for the tip

Now, what to do in Saint John? Ideas? Have 2 boys (5,7) and one girl (3). I was thinking about the doing the Whale of a Time Featuring Exclusive Youth Activity because my boys seem real interested in it. Has anyone done this?
We love Susies. We get 6 to bring home at least once a month. I have never had them not cooked at all.
