Just east of Flint. Looks like we're in for 6-10 inches of snow tomorrow. BOO!

If you follow my 1 piece of advice, you could never look too bad on the TM. You can go off the back and hardly anyone will notice. It is highly-recommended however that you do not try to get back on to save face. That can be disastrous.![]()
Yeah....my sis (who is...or maybe WAS doing the Princess) just fell on an uneven sidewalk last weekend and broke her collarbone. The TM isn't quite as hard as concrete!
Everyone is teasing my mom who is running it with me.....since I hurt myself last week and my sister is now hurt. They are saying it's supposed to be the mother (late 50's) with all the injuries not us kids. (we are both in our late 30's)
my father (pt specializing in sports/running, running coach, ironman triathlete, all around running guru) says for first timers, you really only need to go go 10 once, and 8 is the magic number (if you can do 8, you'll finish 13.1). he only encourages the longer 12s when your body is more used to the distance, and when you are training to race for a specific time goal. he says he prefers the distance newbies to have fresher muscles at race day. so it sounds like everyone is more than enough on the right path to finishing!!
I'm amazed at anyone that can do that long of a run on a treadmill. I don't know what it is, but put me outside, I can go for miles. Put me on a treadmill and I convince myself that I might die if I don't stop (usually by 2 miles!)I know it's mental, but so true for me! I did my 10 mile run Saturday and it was about 38 outside. I tried the Cliff shot blocks ( I think that's what they are called) and loved them. It's getting close!
Thanks for all the info about the hills on the course!![]()

Hey everyone-
I'm sure no one remembers me from last year, as I didn't post very much, but I did come to the meets last year the night before and the morning of the half. I told myself I wasn't going to do the princess again this year, and I was hoping to be pregnant by now and use that as my excuse! Well, since it looks like that is not going to happenI decided yesterday to sign up! Hopefully it will get me out of my funk.
Of course now I am scrambling around to make travel arrangements, I called this morning and got quotes on rooms, but just like last year I cannot find in my confirmation where they send the discount code for the tickets. Used those last year and they were great.
Would someone please PM me either the code or where I should call to get the code?
Thanks so much and I look forward to sharing the next 24 days with you!

glad i was able to help everyone/make everyone feel better! looks like i'm going to have to take some of my own advice about being ok with missing a run or 2....was up all last night with food poisoning thanks to a contaminated bag of prewashed spinach. clearly not spinning today, most likely not running tomorrow, and hope to be back on the wagon by wed/thurs. i love when i tell my friends/family what happened one of the first things out of their mouths are all "dont go the gym today!!!!" i can barely get out of bed, even i'm not that crazy to try and workout...

Too funny! Isn't that the truth!
I need to get a physical soon, I might just schedule it this week and see if the dr will give me a script for something...not sure how all that works, but I have been told that progesterone will work.
