I posted a couple of weeks ago about how my thinking has changed from "there is no way I can finish this race" to "it will be hard, but I can do it." Since then, I have been on a couple of 10 mile runs and now I know I can do it and am excited. I can't believe how far I have come, last year at this time I was 60 lbs. heavier, my life is so different now.
So back to my question - I know that the final mile or so for me is going to be very emotional. I can pretty much guarantee that I will be bawling like a baby when I finish. So is this normal or are people going to laugh at me? I actually won't care, just wondering if others would be doing the same thing.
You definately won't be the only emotional one! I am running this race in honor of one friend who passed away from Lukemia and another who is currently fighting Lymphoma (race benefits the Lukemia and Lymphoma society) so I know I'll be a mess.. not to mention the fact that I have never run before in my life until Oct and have been training pretty much not stop for this event since I started... so it's emotional for sure...
