I thought that the WISH meet was at 5 on Saturday at POR.

I'm at SSR up to race day if that could get updated. I'm heading over to my post to update bib #s

Another idea... what do you guys think.

If we made small patch like things to pin to the back of our shirts so those passing us will know us? I was thinking kinda like the same material or bibs are made of and just safety pinning them? Let me know I would be happy to come up with a design?


p.s. I will def take pics of our hats lol so I guess when the race is over we are gonna flood this thread with pictures

I'm in! About to register today (just got the okay from work for a few days off).

Please help me on the shirt sizing - I know the reg site says they run small, but what does that even mean? I wish they had a size chart!

I still need to book my flight and hotel. I plan to stay at AS Sports, 5-8th. It'll just be me on my first solo trip to WDW!

I've been avoiding this thread 'cause I am so bummed but-

I can't do it this year. Maybe next. $120 for registration and I can't do the race. Next year I am waiting to register!

Pool Therapy PT starts tomorrow for Fibromyalgia. My muscles have a real hard time recovering from a workout so it is taking a lot longer than normal to get back up to speed and endurance. The good part is that I was able to do a 5 mile walk @ 3.5 MPH which is the most done in a couple of years.

I still am going to WDW and will cheer you all on, especially the last couple hundred.

I am wearing a tiara hot glued to a visor and a green running skirt with a purple tank top.

My bib number is 11998. Why does it seem so much higher than all of the numbers I've seen? Does it have anything to do with corral placement?

I am racing with 6 of my college girl friends, we are running in support of another friend who is battling Lymphoma (race benefits Leukemia and Lymphoma society) we are making special shirts!!

Port Orleans Riverside Food Court. Not sure if its 4:30 or 5pm. Hopefully someone can give me an answer to that. We can mingle for awhile like in past WISH meets and then take a group photo. Then if people want to eat dinner there, they have a pasta bar.

Just curious if there are any others out there that are doing the race alone and plan on doing a walk/run stradegy that would like to do the race together and support each other along the way? This is my first half so I'm nervous and the extra support would be great! Hubby and the kids are staying home so I'll be driving down to Orlando on Saturday morning. Does anyone plan on getting together before or after the race? Thanks!

Hi, Shawna! I'll be doing the race solo, and I also plan to use the run/walk combo that I've been training for. I would absolutely love to be your sidekick, if you haven't already found a partner!! I'm sure I will next some encouragement on race day, and will have lots to give!!

Bib#8258 for me and #5808 for DH. Do the #'s mean anything in particular? We signed up on the same day and we are on a "team". Our #s are not that close.

Btw, 6 more inches & counting in NJ, on top of the 2ft we already have! We were just joking that it feels like Maine, not NJ! Where in Maine are you? We have a spot in Howland....

Right now you probably have more snow in NJ than Maine, it's been very cold here though. I live close to the city of Portland now but I am originally from a small town right next to Howland called Lincoln and have lived in Howland for a few years when I was younger. Small World.
