Official "The Following" thread

I think I am done watching....I was sickened by this last episode.

Me, too. I couldn't sleep.... thinking about the stabbing. It was glorified. What really sickens me is that there are people out in the real world that are capable of doing these things for real. Just read about the sentencing of the police officer that was stalking girls to cook and eat them.

If they want to make this believable then the writers need to fill in some blanks. Why didn't the FBI call in everybody to chase down that car as it left the dock? They also need to show the good guys doing something right and getting something accomplished.

Yes, I know my TV has an "off" button. I keep watching and waiting for the good guys to win a round but its not happenin'.

Unlike a movie that is over in 1-2 hours, this is dragging on and on and even has internet groups that are savoring each and every detail. That is even more disturbing to me.

DH and I still like the show and look forward to it every week.

I am wondering how they will bring it all together.

Will Joe and ?Emma? raise Joe's son? Will ?Emma try and get to the wife first so she can kill her since she wants Joe so badly?

and I'm with everybody else here that thinks the new FBI guy is a Follower. I know it's too obvious and probably a red herring but what the heck...I'll take the bait.

DH and I have said the same thing about real life Following type people. I am sure they are out there. There's some wacky-doodle websites out there that let crazy people connect with each other.

I don't think I'll stop watching but I do agree that last week's show had too many holes in it. Especially, with the shipyard thing. They definitely should have had backup and the FBI woman outside should have been closer to the vehicle or at least disabled it in some way. Just too stupid.

I didn't immediately think the new FBI lead was a follower, I think he's just there to slow them down a little/tie their hands up a bit just to sort of frustrate the audience. It's probably exactly what would happen if this were real life--a new leader would come in and try to maintain/take control of a rogue ex-agent.

I really liked last nights show. I like the different people it was focused on instead of the usual how can the FBI mess this week up.

Does anyone want to discuss what happened last night? I'm pissed. I want my money back (ok...technically I'm not out any money but you get the idea). My teenage daughter loved it. Said it was the best ending ever.

Did not expect *that* ending.

Does anybody know if there is a second season?

The show is hokey but DH and I still like it and will still watch.

I loved it too!!

Loved it. Yes there is a second season. And I don't think the explosion did what they think it did.

Of course it didn't. Haven't those dummies ever seen a movie before? I can't believe they fell for that.

:lmao:

I keep waiting for what happened at the very end. I knew it was coming, but I still jumped! I jumped the whole show. A few things happened in the woods that I didn't expect...

I enjoyed the finale, but really enjoyed most of the season --- although those are some of the most inept FBI agents around.

The ending I was expecting, was Ryan opening the door and finding the "follower" that lived next door to him at the door -- and then it would fade to black.

Was their any significance to the girl at the end in Alabama? I wondered if it was Emma in disguise, but wasn't sure.

I'm not sure where they will go in season 2 -- like many shows (Revenge anyone?) I think telling a good complete story in one season is fine and when you try to drag it out over 2 - 3 - 4 seasons it just gets too silly and unbelievable. This ending was clearly filmed to "finish" the story if it wasnt back in the fall....but now that it will be back, Im not sure where they will go to make the story different then what we saw this year.

I don't know why I'm still watching this show! All I do is yell at the TV! LOL!!

Why did the dumb female FBI agent wait until someone called her on her cell phone to attempt to get help??? She had a phone!!! She doesn't think to use it to make an outgoing call??? She deserved to die!

Is it wrong that I hope Kevin Bacon and Claire are dead too? Of course they will live though....sigh...

I know who's not dead....Joe!!! He's like Freddy Kreuger at this point...he'll come back to life...just wait! LOL!!!

That was Emma in disguise.

That wasnt her cell phone. I dont think she knew it was there until it rang and lit up. If you recall, the signal from the phone was bouncing all over the globe which made it hard to track where it was. Had it been her cell phone, it should have been (although give the skill of those FBI agents, you never know) easy to locate.

Have not watched last nights episode but I hate Emma and I serioulsy hope she is gone by the end of the episode!!!

Sorry. Who knows about everyone else, but she is back for Season Two. I dislike the character, too. Poor Jacob.

The DVR deleted the season finale before DH got to watch it. Is it available online anywhere?

I looked but couldn't find it.

I enjoyed the series quite a bit, but I don't think I want to endure another season of
this. It's kind of like it has already jumped the shark for me. When I started watching I thought it was sort of a one-shot miniseries. :confused3

I did too so it will be interesting to see where they go with it next season.
