Wow! that was the best 15 min. I spent so far!

Can't believe the line for Darth's Maul. and there was a sign outside for lineups marked "merchandise". Is this unique to opening day?


I also can't believe how many people were lined up outside. I saw two girls with packs for collapsible chairs on their backs. Not a bad idea if you plan to be there for a few hours.

when they are walking in - they already have wristbands on. Are they just entering the turnstiles to go into the park at this point?

It looked like a single line entry going in. So how are all the other lines merged? (or was this just for merchandise)

I guess that won't even apply to us if we are being granted early entry for the Sci Fi breakfast.

I know I'll get all this down in a few weeks after going thru it.

You're welcome...it sucks that youtube muted it, but oh well, at least it gives people a good idea on what to expect.
The first line of people going straight inside the park is the merchandise line, this only happens the first Friday....after that everyone gets' their fp and lines up with everyone else to go inside the park
If you plan to bring collapsible chairs or anything of the likes you have to take it back to your cars before entering, they won't let you bring it inside.
You should see the setup that people bring for overnight...anywhere from beach chairs to 2 people tents...

Hopefully the shopping for Rebel Rendezvous and the VIPs before opening will help cut down the shopping line and morning rush to Darth Mall. Now if they'd only FP+ Jedi training and the Premiere theater shows to help with those lines.

Last year I waited in line for 3 people Ray Park - Darh Maul, Warwick Davis - Ewok, Jeremy Bulloch - Boba Fett.

Ray Park - arrived at 4 am in the morning and was the 2nd to the last person to get a guaranteed FP for him.

Warrick Davis - arrived at 4 am again and was at the 3/4 line point for the guaranteed FP, BUT he did more autograph sessions than Ray Park

Jeremy Bullock - arrived at 4 am and got middle of the guaranteed FP line but he also did more sessions!

So it really depends on the popularity of the person, and the amount of Autograph Sessions they are doing.

Notice the people in chairs? some people had been out there all night, people bring their laptops and tablets, we saw groups huddled together watching SW movies. People had sleeping gear on the ground and were napping. I met some people from the 501st in line and chatted with the about costumes.

My husband was an early bird too. The first night, he brought a chair. The 2nd night, he brought a blanket too because it got chilly.

I have no idea for Billy Dee...

I know since we are only going to be there just one weekend this year we will be getting in line Friday morning (Of Weekend 3) at 3:30 for Ray Park, at that time we will be watching the John Ratzenberger LINE and I will report out here how it goes, how many sessions they have him do, and if I don't have to stay out there all night Saturday morning we will be lining up for John Ratzenberger.

Oh here is another fun picture I forgot, the same day we saw Ray Parks I was dying of heat in the make shift Mara Jade costume, so I went back to the hotel and showered, then came back to park refreshed... on my way to Star Tours I ran into these fine Gents

The lesson I learned from that day, do not be surprised if you need a heat break!

We are new to SWW and feeling totally overwhelmed. On the plus side, I actually finally saw StarWars and I'm beginning to understand... - I was so much more impressed that I thought I would be with such an "old" movie. Gosh, what would it have been like had I been allowed to see it in a theater back then - wow!

Tomorrow there's a special re-dedication ceremony at DHS for the 25th Anniversary...things might be announced at 10am. Check the fan sites...this one or wdwmagic. Also refresh the Disney Parks Blog as often as possible most of the news has come from there

We didn't get Jeremy Bulloch's autograph in 2013, but did twice in 2012 at SWW and Celebration VI. Both times he was wearing the same white shirt. We know this only because when he was signing the picture of he and ds together, he noticed. He vowed not to be wearing it the next time we saw him. Each day he was there in 2013, we checked out his shirt, lol. It was different.
