Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

DH and I are going to our first SWW on June 6th. He is the big Star Wars fan in the family and I am the Disney fan and vacation planner. We have had kind of a rough year, and I want the trip to be really special for DH.

We don't have any children yet, so the focus of our trip will be the Parade, Fantastmic, and the shows at the Premiere theater. Here is my question: With Mark Hamill making his FIRST appearance that day, I am worried that it will be complete chaos! Do you think we should get the VIP package to make sure he sees everything he wants to see? I agree that it is expensive- but I don't know when we will be able to visit for another SWW.

What are your thoughts?

It will guarantee you a spot at the parade and a seat in the Premiere Theater to see him. There's no telling how early people will begin lining up for those things. The VIP package certainly sounds like a time saver. Consider the pros and cons. Best wishes making your decision.

It depends on the CM who is the artist/instructor, but, there had been a thread recently that listed the Animation Academy characters and I don't recall any SW characters on it. Lucas owned the rights until recently so maybe that's why the SW characters weren't in the repertoire.

I need something to do until Star Wars Weekend! I have everything booked, everything paid for, and I think I pretty much have everything planned (as far as I can go with out seeing the actual list of celebs and time guide).

What am I going to do for the next few weeks?????

When hubby and I were there last year, we got to draw Donald Duck as Darth Maul in the animation academy.

Sorry I didn't see your question there...completely unrelated I was at Epcot F&G and the weather was amazing, my daughter and I kept saying "please hold on for one more month"...anyways this is what I found

I think that they bring you a basket/plate of pastries, from this plate you can ask for more pastries if you finish them. Then you chose between Greek Yogurt or Fresh Fruit and pick only one entree. I don't think you can ask for more of the last 2 options.

Kids and adults are encouraged to dress up, the only thing is that adults in costume can't wear masks or anything that covers their face. Also it is discouraged for adults in costume to take picture with other people and especially a big No No to sign autographs as the character they are portraying.
Although I've asked to take a picture with particular people that have awesome costumes and they have never got into trouble.
These rules are to protect people (especially kids) that might approach an adult in costume and said adult does something innappropiate

I think it's the same for CRT, I don't think it's AYCE. But that's too bad for the price we're paying.

Could not resist asking for a pic with the man dressed as an imperial officer. We were inside pizza planet at the time and it didn't cause a line to form .

yeah, it is expensive for a plate of breakfast.

but really we're paying not to wait in line in the sun! So it is kind of a bargain.

My hope is that all the characters that are listed are there and it isn't some sort of rotation where there are only a couple of them there on any given day.

I've only been to the H&V dinner once before and it was many years ago and not that good. However, the options do sound good!
