Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

In order to take advantage of both SWW and the 24 hour event...we were going to go to HS on Sunday which looks to be a very high attendance day.

Hopefully we will survive :confused3

Planning on MK on Friday with mid day break and stay till about 2 or 3 am

Then do HS on Sunday.

Thoughts?

This is what a lot of people are going to end up doing...
I expect Friday morning to be good for SWW, even though some will go to DHS Friday morning and then head over to MK for the evening/overnight.
Saturday I'm expecting it to be very light at DHSnda then Sunday will be the biggest bulk of people at DHS.

Silly question. We have dinner reservations over at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian at 5:45. Any chance (realistically) that we wouldn't be able to get back in the park?

Our Star Wars weekend day is May 18th - a Sunday, and I wanted to get back for the fireworks - and perhaps see Fantasmic at the 10:30 show. But that all depends on whether or not we see them the previous Thursday.

Also - trying to book our fast passes now. Since we aren't planning on Toy Story fast passes, I didn't think it would be a big issue - but what times would YOU schedule?

We were honestly planning on 9:00 and 10:00 for RNR and Tower of Terror - with some time in the am for character interactions - then see the two rides back to back - then get back to the parade.

Thoughts?

Then there are us crazies who plan to go from sunrise at MK Saturday to DHS for a morning at SWW before collapsing back at our resort.

You'll have no problems getting back in the park, DHS has never closed for capacity during SWW.
I would schedule all my fp's for the afternoon, after the parade. Then be there at park opening and do as many characters as possible before the heat kicks in, grab a spot for the parade (you need to grab one at least 1 1/2 before the parade if you want shade) the parade has been at 11am for the last couple of years, I don't think that time will change.

crazies for sure :crazy2::joker:

Us too :)) We are arriving at Orlando Airport at 11:30pm on the 23rd, so we were thinking heading to MK till Morning and then to DHS for the morning or till we crash!!!
Any idea how we can get from MK to DHS that early in the morning?

It may be faster to walk to Contemporary and catch the DHS bus there rather than wait to see if park-to-park buses are running.

Any idea if we'll be able to do FP+ for any of the SWW stuff? I tried booking FP+ but none are specific to SWW yet......

Walk to CR and take the bus to DHS (there should be an MK to DHS bus eventually, but probably not early in the morning). The buses from CR to DHS should start at 6:30.

During the holidays they had the Comedy Warehouse inside Premiere Theatre and they had a fp+ station... so not sure if it'll be available for the shows there

I'm sure this has been covered in the thread previously - so I apologize for my laziness :surfweb:

I'm going on a Mom/daughter trip over this weekend and my daughter isn't a Star Wars fan so I don't plan on taking in the activities during the day. However we both love fireworks and I like Star Wars, so I would like to see the fireworks show. What I am wondering is what the best strategy would be to see the Fireworks at 9:45 and then see Fantasmic at 10:30 - is this even possible? Thanks!

Totally possible. Grab a spot for the fireworks on Hollywood Blvd (you might have to be up to an hour before since this is going to be the prime spot) close to Sunset Blvd. The fireworks will end close to 10pm then head to Fantasmic! the second show is always less busy so you'll find a spot no problem

Fabulous! Thanks so much!:woohoo:

Can somebody please explain how (or where) I have to fill out my RSP form for the Rebel Rendez Vous?... :confused3 The FAQ is useless!

Usually all the information you need for the event is in your confirmation email. It should have links to submit your rsp, and a different link to the other pre-order items. You'll need a registration number to order. There should also be a contact number or email address to Disney Events in the confirmation email.

Of course it's all there... I'm such a dunce! Thanks so much!
