Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

I checked for FP+ June 6-8 and there is no stars of the saga is it not available yet or is it sold out?
I am guessing Behind the Force Star Wars Rebels is not the new name, isn't that the voice show, that is available.

Any idea how the FP for the shows will work? Everything I read about the dining with an imagineer says it will be 3 hours long (so roughly 12-3pm). And as long as it doesn't run over I can rush to the theater for the stars show (if I miss the preshow, I miss it). It says FP will be 3:02-3:20, so I'm assuming there will be a reserved section? Just brainstorming so I can be prepared.

Since it's the first year doing fp for shows not sure how it would work, but I would think that you will have a seat as long as you make it in your fp window of time...the pre show starts at 3:15 so you shouldbe able to make it

Can someone explain how to trade with the Jawas?

I am confused about the FP+ and SW weekends. I looked and do not see any SW options for my weekend. May 23/24/25. Are they all gone? Did they only release them for the first weekend so far? FORGET this Question, I had to trade a Tier 1 ride and it came up. I am good now.!

Thanks!!! I found the FP I needed to complete my weekend. Now it will just be a matter of seeing how many characters we can see in between the shows and parade. Again this thread has been a life saver and without it I would be a mess!!! Thanks again to all who have made this thread what it is. I think this will be the best Star Wars Weekend for my husband and son!!!!

Sounds good, just remember that the autograph session for Taylor Gray might be in the morning so you might need to stay to get his autograph then go back to the room for a nap and you will get a feel for how long John R line is so you might not need to stay up all night for his autograph..

Thanks! Your advice/experience and that of so many others on this thread is invaluable. I was worried that the line for John Ratzenberger would just get busier and busier as the weekend went on, so I wanted to plan it to stay up all night if we need to, since that's DN's top priority, but I admit that it makes me nervous to leave that one til the last. Besides the one photo that was posted, any other ways to guess whether you would be in the line vs standby/out of luck?

Also, will the cast members know after Friday how early one would likely need to be there, or do you just keep asking people who are there?

Keep in mind you will have to be out of your room by 11am, regardless of when your ME departs.

Great reminder! We do have a late morning flight, so it shouldn't be a problem, as long as we don't sleep through our ME time. That's going to be a multiple alarm/wake-up call morning.

I just check for June 6 & 7 (6/7 is our last day there that weekend) and the only FP+ for a SWW event that is not available is An Ewok's Tale, I assume Warrick Davis isn't attending that weekend.

BTW, I checked it for 6 people and its available 6/6 & 6/7.

The Jawas don't speak it's all done with hand gestures, it happens very fast, you approach the Jawa show them what you have, they accept it go into their bags and take something out and give it to you...If you don't like what you get you have to approach them again...keep in mind this is all done in the open and many kids are around them. The Jawas come out in the afternoon hours around streets of America and the Premiere Theater.

It's hopefully there. you just have to access it a different way.

Go into FP+ and choose the "select or replace" option to book a new experience.
(do not pick the "change" option to modify an existing experience.

You'll have to reselect all fp's for that day but it seems to be the best way to get all of the Tier I shows to list as available

I didn't have to re do all of my fastpasses. I chose the "change" option and selected my tier 1 fastpass as the one I wanted to change. All of the shows were listed.

I wasn't able to do it that way earlier for the two shows I wanted the weekend of June 6-8. Saga of the Stars and Visit to the Maul. All the other shows were available though. So this may be a new development.

I've looked at all the information & this is the plan I've come up with. We are a family of 6 (Dad, Mom, 13,12,8,6) & we don't mind being in the park from open to close some days. Let me know what you think:

F May 16: HS @ 7am
meet Chewbacca & Ewoks
meet all the characters around Darth's Mall
see a show at the Premiere Theater if we are interested
hop to MK

S May 17: HS @ 7am
meet Darth Vader
meet all the characters around the Premiere Theater
meet Princess Amidala
see a show at the Premiere Theater if we are interested
hop to EP
hop back to HS for the Symphony in the Stars Fireworks

Su May 18: HS @ 7am
meet Mickey gang
1000-1030-get in position for parade
1130-SWW Celebrity Motorcade
1230-Reservations at 50's PTC
230-get in line for Stars of the Saga
315- Stars of the Saga (I just got a FP+ for this show, do I still need to be in line by 230??)

Does this sound reasonable? I'm not sure we are interested in any other shows except the Stars of the Saga, but the hubs hasn't really looked at them yet. Could anyone add times to my list so it could be more accurate?

At first I was trying to change Toy Story and Saga would not show up, I had to change all 3 FP and then got Saga for Friday and Sunday.

Are you going the first Friday? If so you're going to encounter the same problem...unless there is something LE that you must have I recommend going to Darth's Mall later in the day and you won't have to wait.

I'm not going this year, just wondering what time people start getting to the park for the Mall for the first day. Wondering if to be near the start of the line if you'd need to get there about 2 hours prior to park opening, or if people start getting there earlier

And it would be for the LE items or I'd just go later
