We just realized tonight that we will be there for the first day of SWW (we fly home May 18). My sister in law is a huge SW fan so she's really excited by this. But, she's there on business and won't be able to get to HS until probably 4pm. Does HS reach capacity during SWW or will she be able to get in?

I've not heard of HS closing to capacity during SWW before.

The parking lot has reached capacity, but as mesaboy2 said I've never heard of the park reaching capacity. We've been turned away from parking a few times when we arrived after dh got off work. There is additional parking by the Hess gas station, though the attendants were telling us to park at the TTC and bus.

Just know that most events stop by around 6pm (except the Hoopla).

Yes, he will. Many of the celebs will. Dh has lots of recordings from the celebs.

Yes, last year my daughter got Ashley Eckstein, Tom Kane, James A Taylor, Dee Bradley Baker and Nika Futterman fron Clone Wars to record a message.
AE did it in Ahsokas vouce. DBB as Captain Rec. JAT did a mash up of Johnny Test characters and NF did Assaj.

Last year it was posted the week before. Most other years we had to wait until we heard reports back from the first weekend visitors. (At least last year was the first I had a heads up, maybe it was posted somewhere that I didn't know about.)

Not really important news but at least we can say for sure some of the characters that will be at SWW (all of them have been there before).
WDW is calling for auditions for the following charaters:
Zam Wessel, Shaak Ti, Aurra Sing, Ahsoka Tano, Asajj Ventress, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Ewoks.

This spring is really going to be alot of fun. Between SWW and the F&G having food and drink!

im in for 2013
this will be the third sww for me - 2 with family , and have only been fortunate enough to ,march the parade only one day. on our last trip .

this will be my first solo trip ...also my first star wars weekends on my own /with other 501st members

we will be marching all 3 days of the first block of sww fri,sat,sun ..

staying at the boardwalk villas ..my host is a vacation club member .

yes the above is correct ,, my cast member friends (also 501st members ) are confirming additional face characters are being employed withing casting for coverage ... as the weekends may or may not be bigger this year or next ... no for sure info .. rumors and such ,,, the usual

we the 501st supply the generic,and helmeted characters in larger numbers
as a volunteerism organisation . are free volunteer labor for the parade .. while we are on vacation- some of us ,, and the recurrent yearly members are members of the florida garrison

the parade characters change all through out the weekend parades .. (except disney employed characters )so different #'s of different characters also the same with our sister club the rebel legion ... some members are dual club members and march different sides good/bad on alternating days ....
and the guests and actors, voice talent, etc ... change from weekend to weekend ....there are a small handfull who sometimes do most weekends


hope the weather is nice its hot in the armor standing backstage waiting to step off for the parade ,,

this should be a great year !! .... especially now that disney holds ownership of the franchise

DNeph and I were at SWW several times many years ago when the 501st marched - it was AWESOME to see so many marching!!! This year DGrD and I will be there the 2nd weekend, so I'm sorry I will miss it.

I thought there were weekends where a larger contingent of the 501st march. We have seen parade where the 501st fill the entire street - so cool to see - and other weekends where there were fewer who marched. Is there usually one weekend (as opposed to the others) where more 501st members try to come? Whichever - you guys rock and really enhance the parade experience!!

thanks .. and ive been a dis guy along time , but couldnt recall my info and my email i used is no more so i figured ,, start fresh ..

i am more of a podcast guy .., ive followed the unplugged podcast from the beginning ,,,we met bob twice and saw cart cam being charged .. he mentioned us on show once ,,,, miss bob ,, his humor was fantastic !!! bannana box's and duck tape the fix all for everything ,,,

i always laugh when pete an the gang make fun of us 501st folks every year ....
but its all fun .. i assure you im not residing in anyone's basement ...
aside from the charity work and the sw costumes .. were pretty normal disney loving folks here
yes defiantly keeping my ears so to say open for any inside track info ..

so you should be able to catch us ..
i think im in some you tube videos as well from years past ..lol

its alot of fun .. but i really prefer the hospital visits ,make a wish events ,and birthday party's .......the fourth parades,st pats and Christmas parades here our our annual big shows

this is true .. but we are a volunteerism group . so the small contingents are most likely days when the local fl group is just them ....

and the larger groups are days when us out of towner/state guys and gals
can make out to march while we are there to enjoy the weekends as were on our family vacations as well --
two birds one stone so to say .... plus disney sww is the big show so to say ...
alot of us aspire to make the mach as often as we can not only for ourselves but for the crowds as well /// if there having a great time -- SO ARE WE !!!
