There will definitely be transport available from Start to Finish for spectators. I was just speculating that it will be bus plus monorail based on where the start and finish are. I should work on my clarity!

NO, you're fine. Like I posted, it's not hard to confuse me. I should stop jumping ahead and just wait it out. If it gets too close for comfort there's always the phone to runDisney.

The lack of places for spectators is one of the biggest drawbacks to races at WDW. At Disneyland, there is the gap between the parks and most of the course is in town, and there are TONS of people. It's awesome! At Disney World, it's impossible to get to the vast majority of the course. You can't get on the main roads, and only those with reservations can get to Boardwalk or Beach/Yacht club (before Epcot opens). It would be nice if they could address this somehow so there are more access points for guests.

Yes! There should be a way!

Forewarning though... start is a relative term... They can walk with you until they can't anymore... there's a point where it becomes "runners only". Once you're in the runners only section, there's gear check, port-a-potties, and other things. There *may* be a different way spectators can take to the actual start line but from what I remember the actual legit start line (corrals and start) is only runners. Somebody else may have an answer to that though.

Is this your first runDisney event? Do you bring your phone with you on runs? I texted my mom every mile or so with updates as to where I was and my ETA to finish so they knew when to be out the door by.

Just for the portion about them seeing the starting line - I always see people just past the start off to the left side. I think I have seen signs to get there too, though I couldn't tell you exactly how to do so. It isn't usually a great view though. Your runner could end up in the middle of the horde, lets call it lol. And you would never see them. The pre-party I recommend though!

Hi - I'd like to register for both the 1/2 and the 5k (so I can run that with my husband) - will I be able to register for both at the same time? I know my husband has to register separately. Hopefully the 5k won't sell out immediately. Thanks!

Although the 2017 courses will be different, here is a screenshot of the 2016 Event Guide that shows the following bus paths:
1. Resorts to Start,
2. Resorts to Finish, and
3. Start to Finish.

Same here. I think hubby is sort of hoping I won't be able to get us signed up for the 10k. LOL!

I'm in the same boat! I have my registration, but nothing else. I have two other runDisney trips prior to this one so it's definitely not getting the love. Plus, I am also waiting on the military discount for next year to book my room.

And my BRF (who is driving to Disney today) has to register, or rather I have to get her registered today as she's driving!

I have my registration only for Wine and Dine too, no room or flight... and that's officially under three months away. I don't even have my flight booked for my September trip.

I don't anticipate things being too crazy either. AP registration was so easy. Hopefully that's not a false sense of hope. But I'm still refreshing! LOL! And ironically to get my running buddy registered, who had to register me because I was at work!
