Official Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend - The Dark Side 2017

Definitely wear the medals, we got a lot of fun character interactions with them! My dad and my husband did their first 5k at Disney World a couple years ago and wore their medals all weekend long. Though we did end up just putting them in a bag and taking them out for photos and stuff after a while. Those suckers are heavy And that way we didn't have to worry about them on rides either.

Thanks for sharing! I made an ADR in case we decide to do this. It depends on what changes are made to menu/pricing.

I made an ADR for the same reason, although I think that I'll be changing or even cancel it now that the menu is announced. I really wanted the waffle with espresso marscapone, but it's gone. Menu looks good, but nothing really jumps out to me. I had booked for after the 5K, but we were going to do AK that day so I think I'll switch to Boma instead. Maybe do this on our last day at BWI before moving over to Poly for our last two days.

Who else is losing their above average temps right now? After multiple days of 70 we are in the 40s with strong winds today, running wasn't terrible but not pleasant like it's been Then snow tomorrow & 30s. Mother nature can be cruel, hahahaha!

Will do! Thanks to everyone who replied, I feel better knowing he and I won't be infringing on something the longer distance runners have a claim on. I'm excited for him and want him to have a good experience and "a moment" to enjoy what he accomplished. But here's a thought how does one manage the medals on rides?

Any distance is an acoomplishment. I still have my first 5k medal. It wasn't disney cause I have never done a disney 5 k but I still smile over it. Cause wow I did it!

But he sure to hold them up for the in-ride pics! And ToT plus medals = fun!

Good now suggestions on how do I hold up 7 on tower? Cause now that will be a fun pic if I could figure one out. Might even top my Halloween pic from a few years ago when I rode the ride dressed as sally.

70s in PA today too. I ran in the dark last night, at like 8pm. IN A TANK TOP AND CAPRIS. I wish every winter was like this.

We are too. After almost a week of 60+ degrees or at least close to it, things cooled down considerably yesterday, and even more today. Now we're back in the 30s. But I am totally fine with it, even happy. The 60 degree weather was definitely beautiful, but it was so far above average and not normal. I know the warm weather will come back soon enough. But I'm a Wisconsin girl and it wouldn't feel like Wisconsin without winter. I guess you could call me Elsa - the cold never bothered me anyway!

The weather in PA today was perfect! I am in heaven! And I can't wait to go run tomorrow morning! But then my husband informed me it's supposed to snow next week so now i'm back to plotting my move to somewhere warmer again!

So DS11 and I just did a random 5K, avg pace was 12:29!!! Woot! Indoor track, 1/10mi track (

), because it's 21* and windy outside. First training run together for the SWDS 5K; I wasn't planning on doing the whole distance this first time out, but we even beat our goal pace for the race!!! Super proud of him.

I'm a Nebraska girl, but I'm all for an early Spring! We only ended up with about 3 inches yesterday of snow, our snow totals this winter are crazy low...but that's fine by me!

Oh wow, that's awesome! I think I would go crazy on that track, but yeah better than outside in freezing wind! I love seeing kids get into running and than at the races be so proud of themselves!

Thanks! Yeah, -1* F was the windchill, so thanks but no thanks! (North Dakota, just a bit to your north ) There's only one free indoor track available in the evenings, and it's new. I saw 1/10 mile and was like, SERIOUSLY?!?!?! beats a dreadmill but good grief. How demotivating to tell DS, "only 31 laps, we've got this." ha! At least it was a good way to get some math practice in with "20% done" etc. after just like 6 minutes.

I've been running in the outdoor weather in South Dakota...pretty similar. I had the -1 windchill as well. Can't wait for warmer temps though.

I gave into the Dark side this weekend and signed up for the half at the Princess expo. So excited! And hoping we can see the course map more than a week before so @wehrengrizz and the boys can find the perfect spot to chEAR.
