Official Star Wars Half Marathon Thread...Jan 15-18th, 2015!!

Logged on to DVC so that I can access the special link at 9am to only find out that they moved the registration back a day. Ugh.

It was never moved, someone at DVC just had a typo originally that was immediately fixed.

That makes more sense. Just frustrating still as I had to schedule it in between my appointments. Good thing I also did the same for tomorrow, lol.

Question- I've only registered myself for RunDisney races so I've never paid attention to if I can register my whole family from my Active account. Is it possible to register multiple people at once or do I have to create a new account for each member? This would include DH and the kids.

Question...I'll be attempting to register me and a few friends for the Rebel Challenge the second the active link becomes live next week for those outside AP and DVC members. For whatever reason let's say the first to sell out is the RC but the 10k and Half are still available. Would one be able to get the RC medal if they weren't able to sign up for the "challenge" in time before it sells out but is still able to register for both races anyway?

I don't think so. RD website lists that the races have to be registered as specifically the RC in order to receive the medal, not separate.

If it is like any of the other challenges that runDisney has done, no. You will not qualify for the additional challenge medal.

It will be there tomorrow morning. If you see the two WDW races, should be on the same page. But since early registration isn't until tomorrow, it would make sense for them not to have it listed right now.

For Avengers half registration, they didnt post the early reg "button" on the AP site until just a couple minutes before noon....

I just booked our hotel for Star Wars weekend. I really hope that isn't jinxing it! I think the price even went up slightly from the day the announcement was made to now so I thought the earlier the better. Now to buy the Rebel Challenge entry.

Do you guys think it would be smart to get the pre-party tickets tomorrow as well (if offered) / the sooner the better or foresee it not selling as fast like the other races' pre-parties?

I just got off the phone with Disney because on the AP RunDisney it won't allow me to link me AP but my passes are linked to my acct, they told me RunDisney knows about the issue and are trying to correct it.

Thanks! You, too! It is a bit nerve racking, especially having to sign up from work, and knowing that there is a chance of sign-up interruption/prevention -- Eek! That makes me so anxious!

With that being said, I've done all my hand/wrist/finger stretches and speed typing warmups in preparation for tomorrow..... Just added up my family totals (without taxes/fees) for tomorrow. $740 .... good grief, but we will spend it like the crazed sheep that we are.

Once you are in, let me know and I will add to the first page who is going as well as what races and hotel you are in (if you wish of course).

I always book my room first. I want to make sure I can book a room before I register. I can always cancel the room but not the race.

Plus...like you mentioned, prices go up and then sell out. I am happy with what I booked, tho not in Disney itself...close enough and cheap enough.

I am going to try to pre register today.
