***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

I'm in a couple Disneybound groups on Facebook and people have been reporting back on stuff that is/isn't allowed and it seems really sporadic. Like somethings that I think are obviously bounds and not costumes are turned away while some outfits that could easily be mistaken for costumes are let through.

Most are advising that if you're planning to dress the part, either dress in layers that can be removed or bring a back up change of clothes.

NEWS

Disney release first ad spot for Galaxy's Edge for Walt Disney World. Reminds me a bit of the ads Universal has been having with asking the kid (who isn't a little kid) if they are ready, etc. - gives me same vibe of "are you ready for a non-kiddie experience at an Orlando themepark?"

Need some advice! Booked a trip for Aug 30 - Sept 2nd (staying on property). When do you think we should plan to visit Galaxy's Edge? Should we wait for Sunday Sept 1 or Monday Sept 2 to visit since we'll be able to use EMH and in theory have less crowds?

Or should we go Aug 31st when it's open to everyone? Either way we're going to be there for the 6am rope drop.

I think it will be easier to plan once we know more about how access to SWGE will be granted. Regardless, I believe DHS will be incredibly busy all 3 of those days. We arrive Sep 7 and I'm thinking the same will be the case during our stay.

Once Jun 24th arrives and the DL reservation system is over it might be a better guage also. SO hard to predict!!

I wish they would do a reservation system like Disneyland did but I just can't seem them doing it this far out. They may face a lot of backlash by people who made off-site reservations to be there opening day. A girl can hope though.

I'll be going to Islands of Adventure tomorrow for the opening of Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure... plan to be there by 5:30am, I'll call it a dress rehearsal :D
Get lots of pics and tell us everything!!!!! We will live vicariously through you......

Was a bit surprised to hear that this cost $300 mil (30% of the cost of GE!), but sounds like they did a really good job with it.
