It's early still, but it's obvious the land has a problem with capacity imbalance. They need to not let so many people in that the land becomes crowded to the point it can't be enjoyed. But while a short wait for the Falcon is nice, it's not a good thing paired with it being impossible to see the Cantina and Savi's. Let in more people, and that gets even worse. Maybe most of the people there have already ridden the Falcon during previews and it just was not a priority, but for right now it's not living up to it's potential of a people eater, while they probably could have benefited from having double or triple the capacity at Oga's and Savi's.

Personally, I am fine with skipping both of those things initially and just checking out the ride and having a relatively empty land. But I'm afraid what we'll get instead at DHS is way more people being let in, and going to an advance reservation system for lightsabers and the cantina that are hard to get. The reservation period at DL might be as good as it gets for years. Who knew?

I think it is something to watch. I think the goal is to keep ride waits at an hour or less. It does eat 1800 people per hour. These time slots are not 10,000 people either. So the real test is June 24th when its open to all.

I've been puzzled from the beginning as to why they made blue milk a fruit flavor. I was certain it would be something "minty".
They needed to create something that wasn't milk based so it could be enjoyed by the masses.

Minty milk would be a big no from me. Fruity milk I can see because most of the sugary cereals tend to "fruity" the milk up so its not so far fetched flavor wise.

Is it possible that not building out the table service restaurant to start was intentional (and not simply a budget saver)? See what the logistics of the cantina look like and they format the table service space accordingly?

Seriously. "Should have come on day one" would never have entered anyone's thought process for avoiding crowds.

Cantina is all drinks. Look at the first page for all the food and beverage options.

Agreed, but I thought the Disney promotional video this week showed them handing out complimentary bar peanuts/pretzels/snacks (basically high salt content to make you try a 2nd drink.....).

Sure, but that doesn't have anything to do with dairy, per se. For a flavor profile I was assuming something along the lines of a McDonald's "Shamrock Shake". Mostly vanilla with a subtle mint.

I don't know about that. I think the biggest disappointment really I have seen is blue milk. Ronto's seems to be a hit with most. Docking Bay 7 I haven't seen enough reviews of. Cantina I haven't seen a bad review of yet.

obviously need to wait and see once more "regular" people get in - jsut seems like the initial takes that I have seen have been more negative than I was expecting

I do agree the Cantina seems to be a hit - including all the drinks (some seem to be like "this isn't for me" but all seem to be pretty good for what they are)

Personally I think they blew this up to such a HUGE proportion that at least ride wise, the above gents dont seem impressed.

I don't know. If the level of detail I'm seeing with the land and Smuggler's Run, I'm very tempted to renew my AP just to hit Rise at WDW. I can't imagine how impressive that ride will be.

I think this is how the reservation grace period will be like from 5/31 - 6/23. Granted this weekend will be the craziest with it being the opening weekend. Especially, with the opening day merch.

The big question is how well will the virtual queue work and the initial rope drop for the land on 6/24 and afterwards. I think they will try to maintain the same amount of capacity within the land post 6/24. The hardest thing to get will be the virtual queue, which I imagine selling out for a given day very fast.

The big question is how they handle this for DHS. I am hoping they do some form of virtual queue. When would they start this virtual queue at 6am? 9am? Could I pull a virtual queue time while in the land for EEMH? My goal would be to do some of the things in the morning. But I am not wanting to grab a drink at Oga's Cantina at 7am, ideally I would want one at 11 or noon.

Exactly my point. Your saying hit Rise which, correct me if I'm wrong, but will be the last ride in GE, so will people wait for Rise to open before wanting to line up at 3-4:00 a.m. just for SR and seeing the "land".

Ahh....I see. You're right. Originally, I was planning to renew our AP's for the 50th as there would be enough new attractions/experiences for us (local to WDW). But, I'm softening my position based on the impressions I'm getting of SWGE, as of now, as I think it would be worth it to visit even with RotR being open.

#stormtrooperchallenge

Try to overstay your welcome by as long as you can, while requiring the highest number of Stormtroopers necessary to escort you out.

The Storm Trooper part would be super cool - but I can totally see some people taking advantage of the 4 hour window and overstay -- and if word spreads that "eh its not really enforced", then that could become a problem for the next wave of people. Unless they completely clear the land before letting in the next group.

If its like Disneyland the virtual queue will go into effect when the land reaches capacity. We do not know what that capacity is. Rope drop is your best guarantee to get inside.

Care to venture a guess based on the pictures you've seen of how many people were lined up and let in for the first time slot this morning?

There is no single picture that shows the entire group so I can't. I heard a rumor a while back it would be 3000 but we really don't know.
