Hey guys,

I was just offered a PI in Animal Programs Conservation Education. I am honestly totally on the fence whether to accept this invitation or not. I was a CP beginning in JAN '03, and then transferred into Full Time for another 1 1/2 years. I am graduating this coming December. This is totally something I want to do, but am bummed out with the no health benefits and CP"ish" benefits as far as park passes etc. goes. Does anyone know others who have done PI's in Animal Programs in the past? I'm also fretting this decision b/c right now I am finishing my student teaching over here in London, England!

Hi! I know someone who did that one. At least I'm pretty sure it was that exact internship. The semester after his internship, he used to drive up there on some weekends to teach classes at Animal Kingdom. So I'm assuming it was in education. He loved it. He was the reason I applied to an Animal Program in the first place. I haven't talked to him in two years, but I'm sure I could track him down for you if you want (Facebook does come in handy sometimes ).

Hey gingerbimber do you know how many people fit into a room at northbridge? hmmm oh yes, How many people here are bringing cars with them for the PI?

I believe that there are two or three bedroom apartments with 4 to five people in each respectively. I am bringing my car with me because I live in Tennessee and it's a strait drive down to Orlando, plus I am required to have my own transportation for my PI.

Hi! I'm in the same field, but operations finance However, I do not have a list with all the other interns... So, I don't know whom I will be working with. Who knows, though, maybe we will work together!!

Hi. I'm not the Finance Department, I'm in Product Development but your PI in was the closest to mine that I've heard so far! Did the lady who you'll be working under say when she would email you other people's contact info? I never heard anything about that. I would love to know if anyone else is doing what I'm doing. Kwakjax--My whole hiring experience was a smooth process. They have been really helpful and keep encouraging me to email/call them personally (not through recruiters/HR) with any questions or concerns. This is the first time the Strategic Pricing dept has had a PI, so I guess that's why they are trying to make everything go as smoothly as possible. She said she would be emailing me w/contact info of the other intern in Strategic Pricing, as well as other Finance Interns that we'd probably be working with. (Roz33...that could be you!)

I did hear that we are suppose to "share" parking at Northbridge. But does anyone know how far we are suppose to park. Maybe an extra slot would be available if you paid extra? I have asthma and am a little worried about the distance.

I've been to the complex and the other parking lot that you'd have to park in is literally next door to Northbridge. But if your place is far back in the complex (Northbridge is a big complex), it may end up being a bit of a walk with asthma.. unless you want to jump a fence. I think if you talk to Disney they should help you out since it is a medical concern. Hope that helps.

Thanks leilani11! Your right I will notify them. I know that PI that deal with obvious park interest (animals, Merchandise and hotels) will most likely be working within the parks. But does anyone know where PI that are more corporate go? Like is there some large business building where PI dealing in advertising and web development may go?

what's your PI in? I'm in communication planning and there are several positions within the parks, as well as at "The Agency" which is the disney graphic design agency, I guess.
