any such thing as an upgraded room or are all the rooms pretty much the same??

I think that there are only 3 room types - Standard, Ground Floor Poolside, and Family Suite. I think that for the most part the Family Suites and GF Poolside rooms sell out, so there wouldn't really be anything to upgrade to.

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere before, but I'm not seeing it. Can anyone tell me if you can rent tennis rackets or do I have to bring my own?

I believe you can rent tennis rackets at the little towel stand by the main pool (at least you could a few years back).

Parking question...
Has anyone ever left their car for a week or more while doing a split stay?
I am going to SOG next week, and my mom is coing out too, then I'm going back with her to Pensacola for a week, and then we'll come back out the next week when my neice and nephew are on spring break.
So we were wondering if we could reserve a bit of the worlds oil by leaving the car (very willing to pay the parking fee) by leaving the car for the week.

Normally the parking permit is good for the length of your stay only. E-mail or call and ask, but if they are fully booked, I would think they would say no because they need parking for those that are actually staying there.

If you have an oversized vehicle or a large SUV or Van the parking garage can be a very tight fit. We asked at the front desk and were allowed to park in the golf course parking area, its to the right as you drive into SOG.

Thx, appreciate that tip :thumbsup2 ! Our group is flying down, but meeting family that will be driving their rather large SUV. I'll pass the message. :goodvibes

I can vouch for that advice, we drove down in our conversion van, the topper makes it too tall for a garage and were allowed to park in the golf lot, we were given a sticker for the vehicle though, and I am pretty sure it had an expiration date.

A minivan fits fine in the parking garage though. We had out Plymouth Grand Voyager there last time.

do you usually call a week or so before you show up to confirm your reservation , or is that being paranoid??

I always make sure I have a paper confirmation in hand as we go through the MK entrance.:thumbsup2

If you are really freaking about it, go ahead and call. I called to check on something last week (for Dec) and was told that there were no reservations in DH name. I had two: one before and one after our cruise. They finally found it when she listened to the spelling of the last name.

Just wondering how old your boys are? My twins are only 24 months, but will be almost three when we go this Christmas. When did you start bringing them to Disney and I assume it gets easier;) Our first trip with them was when they were 13 months, but it was alot better than we expected:goodvibes

Hi!

I just saw this - we were actually in Ohio this weekend celebrating the boys' 7th birthday! They wanted to go to Great Wolf Lodge instead of doing their usual huge birthday party. (Last year I had 21 kindergarteners in my house for a Mad Science party - oh my!)

Anyway, we took them for the first time when they had been 3 for one month. They went twice when they were 4, and once when they were 5 and 6. So this summer they are 7 and this will be their 6th visit. (And our surprise Christmas trip to SOG will make 7 visits!) It's been a blast each trip, but it definitely gets easier each time.

They are super excited because they are now 48" and that means they can ride Rock 'N Roller Coaster this summer! ;)

Kristie :)

This is a link to change an existing reservation, although I use it to simply "verify" an existing reservation. Just type in your confirmation info and it will take you to your reservation details. You don't have to do anything after that. Just close the screen when you are done looking. You can always call the day before you leave to make sure they still have you in the system, but until then, I would think the link I gave would be assurance enough.:)

I see the hours for the ticket sales office in the OP. We arrive on Sunday night, and might not make it in time for the office closing at 20:00. What about Monday morning? Are they usually busy at 08:00 when they open (it'll be Memorial Day).

We will be at SOG in 30 days. My BIL is our sponsor. DH and I are planning on getting APs. Will we be able to get these at SOG just like any other park passes? (of course BIL will have to be there to show his ID)

Yes you can AP's at SoG and you will save on the tax...That can be about $40 savings per AP.

I always get mine there. You get a voucher that you have to activate when you go to a park.

Yeah, they can get quite busy -- particularly answering people's questions. Just plan on getting there early.
