Just got MNSSHP tickets for Labor Day. Not sure what to expect crowd wise, but we're super excited!!
Every party will probably end up selling out again like last year but I wouldn't be bothered about it. From experience Labor Day is dead. The only reason I opted against the party that night last year and ended up going to the Friday one instead is because I was staying at the Dolphin and wanted to do EEH at Epcot. But Labor Day is never really crowded at the parks, locals don't want to stay out that late when most have to work the next day and most people's kids are back in school and they don't want to pull them out so close to the start of the year. It's one of the better holiday weekends to go if you can tolerate the weather and don't mind a bit of hurricane uncertainty.

Just looked into the Halloween party it's going on 5 of the 9 nights we are there 😬
Yeah that sounds about right. But if you have the ability to hop you can work it to your advantage.

JetBlue just screwed us with our flight home on the 28th though. Originally we were set to leave on the last direct flight out, and they emailed me saying we got moved to a 2pm departure time. :( Totally unacceptable, especially since I found out that a Facebook group I'm in is doing a meetup at Epcot that day, so I would really like to hang out with them for a bit. I checked Delta for alternatives and ended up canceling both JetBlue flights and rebooking with Delta for arrival and departure times basically identical to what we originally had. I have a Delta Amex card so I don't pay to check bags with them either. Tbh this whole situation was actually a blessing in disguise because it ended up costing fewer miles with Delta, due to lower prices and the 15% discount on award fares with the card. And it means we don't have to deal with the nightmare that is T5 under construction at JFK.

Crazy that Delta was cheaper though, JetBlue usually is out of NYC. I am still gobsmacked that they changed a Saturday evening flight to afternoon, they must really be struggling with staffing.

Just as an FYI: if anyone is planning on the Halloween party and is still waffling about dates I strongly suggest figuring that out sooner rather than later and locking down your tickets. Halloween night already sold out and demand is very high this year.

Just back from WDW this week and secured my second party ticket while I was there after hearing grumblings of 10/31 being sold out. 09/10 and 09/13, here I come!

We've finally locked in our dates. Arriving September 7th -15th. This will be our first September trip in 13 years. We've been going in December for years but are missing the Halloween decorations. We have tickets for the party on the 10th. Rented points at AK. Our girls favorite resort.

:welcome: Just added you to the Roll Call! We have so much in common -- I'll be at Jambo House during your dates and I'll also be at the 9/10 party!

Thanks for the welcome. With 4 daughters we need the extra bathroom so we will be in the Kidani side. I'm excited for everyone going in September. It's a great time to be there. Are you dressing up for the party?

No, I typically don't, especially in September when it's still hot -- I'll be rocking a cute halloween-themed Disney t-shirt and shorts, maybe some fun glitter on my hair/face!

Wow, I read my post...I should never post while on my phone!!! Our group of seven will be going as Mickey's baseball team. Short sleeve baseball jerseys and shorts with baseball caps.(which will help hide my hair!!!) I agree, its to hot for a costume.

We’re cosplayers, so that’s a given. 😂

We’re going as Herc and Meg, those will be light enough costumes to cope with the heat. Originally we were just going to wear the same pirate costumes we are bringing for pirate night and Halloween on the cruise, but then I thought better of recycling the same outfits we’ve been sweating in over and over. 🤣 (I know they have laundry on the ship, I just refuse to deal with that on vacation)

Bought 4 hopper passes today and paid off the DVC vacation club reservation. Yikes!!! Now I'm trying to decide if we should do the dessert party or if it will take to much time away from the Halloween party. Thoughts anyone? We still have 3 hopper tickets to buy and transportation to the airport for our return trip and we should be done. It's a great feeling as things start to get paid. We also ordered our Magic Bands and started on our shirts. Kids no longer want to match so we are making different shirts. Getting out the Cricut adds to the excitement. My dh came home today, rolled his eyes, and said here we go. He must have got the debit card alerts!!!

We are strongly considering a September trip. I’m just waiting for a few things to fall into place, but I am a little worried about hurricanes. But September would be ideal for various reasons,

Hurricane season is also June and July and thousands still visit. Although there is no longer a "slow" time, September is as good as it gets. Pick a resort you'll enjoy and if a storm passes through enjoy your day at the hotel. I'm one of the few that welcomes rain as people run out, rain stops, and you casually walk from one ride to the other in a practically empty park. If things fall in place for you I would not hesitate a September visit. It's hot, humid, wet, and a whole lot of fun!!!

I had a trip to Florida cancelled by Ian a few years ago, which is the Main reason I am worried. Less the hurricane itself and more the trip being cancelled.

No single bigger waste of time and money at the parks than holiday party dessert parties imo. But especially at the Halloween party, there is just way too much to see and do in terms of party specific offerings to be dithering around eating grocery store cupcakes. And it's trivial getting a decent spot for fireworks, unlike HEA. Don't bother.

Travel insurance is key, as is being flexible...we get ours through Travel Insured because I get special rates with them from USAA.
