That's awesome! As neat as AOA will be, the Poly is gorgeous. I love the greenery!

It looks so gorgeous. My daughter has been lobbying for the change since August. LOL! I may not tell her that's where we will be....she was highly disappointed in staying in a Cars suite for a week. My hubby was sold on the lack of needing to rely on a bus for the main transportation and the bar in the resort because of it being football weekend while we're there.

Did you guys see the changes to the dining plan in 2012?

For the Quick Service plan, they took away 1 of the 2 snack credits, as well as removed the refillable resort mug.

For the regular Disney Dining Plan, they added the refillable resort mug.

It implies that people were flocking to the QS plans and away from the regular DDP. I know I've read alot of stories about people ending their vacation with an insane number of snack credits on the QS plan. I guess Disney finally realized why their shelves were getting cleared!

I knew they were adding a refillable mug to the regular plan but didn't realize they were taking it away from the QS plan. That stinks for those that use it. We always do regular and that was our one complaint...no mug. I never thought it made sense.

You absolutely can dream! I am dreaming too! I am really hoping for free dining or a good room only discount. We got one last September so here's hoping for something good.

I knew about the taking away 1 snack credit. Didn't know they took away the mug, though. When we went in 2009, we had 64 snack credits. The last day we had 18 left over, so we were trying to use them up...I think we ended up with 5 or 6 unused. Way too many. And that was with a 2 year old using them for small meal type things.

I'm also really happy they added the refillable drink mug to the DDP because we usually upgrade to that if we stay at the Values. I don't have to spend an extra bit of cash to get it! I noticed it had been added when I checked last september. Bummed I just didn't use the bounce back!

I know what you mean about bouncebacks. We weren't sure when we were there if we were going to go back in September of this year or not so we didn't book the bounceback. Hopefully another discount will come along.

I'm confident that they will offer the free dining plan again this year. As was stated before by someone in a previous post, I am not looking forward to playing the waiting game until May to get my discount. Funny. It's like being on extreme coupons...I'm nervous about NOT getting the free dining! If not, we will just have to downgrade from POFQ to POP. Not a big deal. Disney is Disney! I don't go there for the Resort! (well, I kind of do, if you stay off site, it's just not the same) My other travelers tried to talk me into staying at the new Drury in in Orlando...but I said I'd just meet them at the park...they changed their minds. I am quite the persuader.

Like I said, I will be booking next week when the rest of my traveling party lets me know when the dates work for them. I will get with you with our concrete dates then. Thank you for the warm welcome, I hope that I can be of some assistance to those who need some questions answered about September travel. It's the best tim to go I think!

That is so weird! I saw the mug thing mentioned on a website with a link to a copy of the 2012 QS dining plan where it did not mention a mug.

But the dining plan on the Disney website does show a mug for all plans.

Well, it's good news that everyone gets one now. We'll see how long that lasts!

Before I go and ask the dining board, can anyone tell me about a few dining choices I'm looking at?

1900 Park Fare dinner
Kona Cafe for breakfast or dinner
'Ohana for breakfast or dinner

My original plan was 1900 PF dinner, Kona dinner, 'Ohana breakfast. I'm not sure if 1900 PF will be a good food choice for us as my middle guy is a picky eater. I was thinking of switching it to Kona dinner, 'Ohana dinner, 'Ohana breakfast or Kona breakfast, 'Ohana breakfast, Kona dinner.
