*Official September 2011 Thread!* Who's joining me?!

I posted a poll on a different thread about who you all go through to book your vacation. Who do you all go through?

Hi, Everyone!

I'm so excited!! :yay: This will be our 3rd September Trip to WDW!! I finally talked BIL into letting me plan a Disney vacay for the 15 folks in our families (plus 1 friend for each of our two families). :grouphug: They've thought we were "Disney Crazy" for the past 5 years because we say it's the best vacation spot ever! They say they've been to the best theme parks & try to compare WDW to Six Flags, St Louis & Holiday World in Santa Clause, IN. They have NO CLUE!!

I can't wait for them to see how right I am & how wrong they are! :worship:princess:

So, we're staying in a 7 bedroom villa about 8 miles out from Sept 10-17. :wizard:
We'll also be doing a YES Class, World of Physics: Properties of Motion on MK day (the 12th). :teacher:

After much thought we have decided to stick with our original plans of Sept 25 - Oct 1 2011. We are driving ( so far) and DH is concerned about the winter weather going through West Virginia mountains. Yeah! That's 2 months sooner than November! I will be booking this vacation in the morning! Can't wait! I know that we will be staying at CBR and will have 5 day park hoppers. I'm so excited!!

I don't think they have winter weather in WV in September. :confused3

Way to go! Prove them wrong!

I wish I could take everyone that has never been to Disney World and have something negative to say about it. People just don't understand until they have been! :thumbsup2

We are a homeschooling family and I would like to sign up for those Yes classes. We did it before. Where did you sign up for them?

We do a Disney movie night about once a month. I make up a batch of Mickey chicken nuggets (with some sort of side), Mickey rice krispy treats (gotta love the Mickey cookie cutter!), drink out of our refillable mugs and snack on popcorn out of our Disney popcorn bucket.

I LOVE this idea!! :lovestruc I think that would be a great way to get the family excited without folks thinking we're going overboard. :cheer2:

Also, about shirts (I haven't read all the posts about shirts yet), I bought some red shirts to have embroidered, but then realized that some of our folks are grown & some of our folks are shrinking (losing weight). I am going to wait until closer to September to spend the money on having them embroidered, just in case we have to buy different sizes then. :thumbsup2

lol..yeah, I know. We were thinking about changing to the week after Thanksgiving for the christmas lights and things, but he was concerned about what west virginia weather would be like (and ohio) during that time, so were sticking with our original plans.

Oh ok  Have you every been in September? It is the BEST time in my opinion to ever go to Disney World. The weather and crowds are fabulous!

That is SO true! DH didn't care about going the first time, but we were offered a timeshare from a friend of the family not long after the kids & I had started saving $2/week for each family member. HA! We had nearly nothing saved yet, but the vacay was in motion from there. :cheer2: On the way home, however, DH was just as excited as everyone else, and we were all trying to figure out how/when we could get back! :teacher:

As for the YES classes, http://www.disneyyouth.com/, I'm pretty sure they're not doing the Homeschool Days the week we're there, but if you have 10 or more students, you can sign up for your own class. DH's bro has 5 kids & we have 4, so we are each inviting a family friend to make up the difference. :cool2: I would think you'd be able to get in on our day, though if you were going to be there at the same time. If so, feel free to message me & we can try and work something out. :flower3: Someone was talking on this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2332767 about individual enrollment, too, so your trip dates may already be available for individual enrollment (same website as above). BTW, you said you've done the class before, which one? I am hoping I got the most interesting class, but having not attended one yet, I wasn't sure.

My husband was the same way! :rotfl: I remember on Main Street (the first time he has ever been) he told me WE are definitely coming back soon! lol Unfortunately we won't be there for the Sept. dates for the class. We are going 9-18. But my daughters went to the How Things Move and Wild By Nature class. Both were excellent! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: Just booked our vacation!!!:dance3:
September 25 - Oct 1 and the CBR!! I"m so excited, now I can really get into planning!!

We will be there the same time. We are still trying to decide between CBR or POP. We love both :)

I chose CBR because it looks more relaxing and I love the way the pools look, plus DH likes the look of the pool bar (lol). Now I have to figure out where I want to eat (too many choices)!

Hello! We are new here but thought we'd throw our names in for the Sept. group. We are right now planning on staying at Pop Century 9/24-9/30 2011

There is so much great information I'm finding on these boards! I generally just read as it's been 9 years since I've been to WDW.

:cheer2: Welcome!! :cheer2:
I'm more of a lurker, too. Hoping to get more involved with this particular thread as the date approaches, though. :cheer2:

I just booked my trip minutes ago, I'm so excited! DH and I will be staying at Pop September 18-22, 2011. Our first time staying on property, I can barely contain myself!

We normally stay at POP, but this past March we decided to try CBR. We did love it, but we honestly felt homesick to POP. We even went there to "visit" and show my inlaws where we usually stay. LOL!! THis will be the last year we can stay at POP, so I am thinking we will choose it. (Our 3rd child will be 2 and still in the packnplay) We will need to go back to the bigger rooms for our 2012 trip.

And yes, the pool and the bar at CBR are awesome!!

Please count us in as well!

We'll spend the third part of our Disney vacation at Old Key West this summer from September 1 to September 10!

Can't wait to see ya all there!

Ok, we are officially booked !!!!!! Just did it today. After a long discussion last night we decided to book CBR instead of POP. We just think we'll be more comfortable with the baby and having more space. We are booked Sept. 24th-Oct. 1st. Now it's terrible b/c I want summer to hurry up and get here. LOL!
