I think you'll have pretty good pics by the wedding chapel. It's not near construction. The Poly construction is by Sunset point, and extending out toward TTC direction.

Oh thank you thank you! Is that a good area to get good beach shots? Even though they will be family pics having the Chapel in the background would be fine too. Any suggestions on the best area to get pictures with the folage behind us? I would like to have both beach shots and pictures with the tropical flowers and plants in the background. Since the water fall will probally be gone do you have any other suggestions?

Have a look at resort photos of Poly and GF on Allears.net. The Picks of GF have different views of wedding chapel, and Poly has different views of the grounds too looking toward GF. Allears has tons of resort pics & video.
Are you having a Disney photo package? If so the photographer will know all the good locations. Photos at Wilderness Logde are very pretty too by the waterfall.

Oh that sounds great! Yes we have a Disney Photo Package. We arranged it at the Poly since we have a character breakfast right after the shoot. Then it's on to MK for the day. I also thought about BC but this works soooo much better with our scedule. With all the construction I was starting to get nervous.

I have done the photo package at both the POLY and BC, and you should keep the POLY package! There are plenty of places to get pictures with flowers behind you, without even going to the beach (we always skip the beach shots, because my kids get too distracted with all that fun sand!). We have had pictures inside the GCH with waterfalls and flowers behind us, in front of the GCH at the small waterfall, actually in the waterfall in back of the GCH, and on the bridge over that same waterfall. Don't worry, your photographer will know all the best places!

How much more could they do?

Tahiti + Rapa Nui were a decent chunk of rooms.

If they turned Tokelau into DVC that'll put a huge dent into the main resort vacancy since that's 144 rooms out of rotation.

Maybe they would go to the far left of the resort to balance things out and take Aoteara out of circulation that'll be 87 more rooms turned to DVC.

It is Tokelau. And I don't think they would split DVC like that because they would want DVC-type facilities in one area, ie: free laundry.

Correct me if I am wrong, but a non-DVC member can stay at in a DVC room, right? I had GF Villas booked at one point but then changed my mind (and I am not a DVC member). So even with the conversion to more DVC rooms, we can still stay there? Is it just harder to get in if you don't have first grabs as a non-DVC member?

I have booked cash ressies for BLT and VGF but tikiman says no cash ressies for poly dvc. So you have to rent points and supposedly they will cost premium rates

I didn't know that!! Ok, well now I understand the panic!

Is there still a waterfall in front of GCH? The one that runs by the bridge? Is there any construction that would interfere with pictures? Is there any other area to have pictures taken by tropical flowers and foliage in the Poly?

We are getting pictures done when we are there in June. I would love to hear how yours went, and where you had pictures taken. I am sure they will be great! As a mom of 2 boys, I believe you can NEVER have enough pictures!!!!!
