OFFICIAL OLTL THREAD!!!! Spoilers Welcome!

I sure think it was Victor...however I only see the show occaisionally...I tuned in today since it was the last one( and I was home since my hours have been cut lower than the interest rate )

Yes it was 100% Victor. Not that it matters anymore. :sad2:

Maybe all of this will come out on GH, it'll have to if Todd is free on GH, won't it?

I was cheering when I saw it was Victor! What an ending...of course it leaves us wondering. I've never watched GH but I will now....

Any comments on the rest of the show? I thought all the other sl were wrapped us nicely.

I thought the most touching scene during the last show occured when Bo was leaving the mansion to bring around the car to take Baby Drew to the hospital. He paused,.. turned to Nora and said "I love you Red". OMG ...I had tears in my eyes. It was so much more than a line of dialog. It seemed to me that Robert woods was painfully aware that he was uttering those words for the very last time, and could barely get them out.

I'm not sure I know what all this "on line" talk is about? Maybe someone can clue me in?
I did see that some of the characters are moving to GH. I have been a long time viewer of GH, and think it's in desperate need of CPR. I would have preferred to have seen GH go off the air as opposed to OLTL. I just think they have killed off all the anchor families and the entire coffee mobster thing is so very old. All that being said, moving the OLTL characters to GH may be breathe new life into a failing show. I would LOVE to see Blair take Carly on. The show needs a strong woman who isn't neurotic (Alexsis) or a whiney witch (Carly). Just my opinion. In any case, nice to see some of the OLTL live characters live on.

I agree! I was trying to hold back the tears.

Anyone else felt like the show was your typical Friday cliffhanger kind of show. AMC tied things up better than OLTL did IMO.

Regarding the online references -- Prospect Park bought the rights to AMC and OLTL from abc/Disney, with the intent of bringing the shows online, meaning they would be available on the internet. They had some financial backing and had hired some actors for both shows, but more for OLTL. Then the day before Thanksgiving they announced they would not be able to move forward after all. If the deal had gone as planned, OLTL would have aired on abc for the last time Friday the 13th, and online for the first time Monday the 16th. With that in mind, Prospect Park had input into the plotlines, and obviously, they were not "ending" big things since the show was going on. That's why JR shot someone at the end of AMC, it was supposed to be back on the air this January, and Prospect Park wanted a big cliffhanger so people would tune back in.

OLTL had already ceased taping when this announcement was made. They could do some things with other scenes they had taped, but for the most part, we got the show that was supposed to set things up to launch online. We did not get a series finale show -- or what it would have looked like if they thought the show was truly ending -- that's why there was no Jolie wedding, Victor wasn't brought back from the dead to Tea, etc.

I did like the ending inasmuch as I can assume Victor eventually gets free, Tea and Victor are reunited, and Blair (as she always does) will eventually forgive Todd and they will be together. At least in my end of OLTL :goodvibes

Now the Mannings and John are going to GH, so I'm sure we'll get closure on Victor being alive and with Tea (and probably Sam and Jack staying with them). I'm more nervous about Jolie, as I can't see how he can be in PC without the love of his life. I'm really, really hoping they don't kill her and Liam off...

But, I also think this is stunt casting, and they could just be there for a short stay. It disappoints me because I had hoped Michael Easton (John) would come back to PC as a new character.

It's going to be a sad day tomorrow. (Monday Jan 16) :sad2: No OLTL :sad1::sad1:

I'm kind of telling myself there aren't always new episodes on holidays, and I probably won't even have the tv on today...tomorrow when I get home and there's no OLTL saved, it will really sink in for me.

I also thought the final scene with Bo and Nora was the best, and absolutely necessary. I'm ok with how everyone else ended up -- or at least how I can picture them ending in my mind :rotfl:

I agree with you! There were definitely some scenes where you saw the real emotions of the actors. Those were the best moments. imho

Two totally wasted hours of daytime TV now from 12 Noon CT to 2PM CT (1PM ET to 3PM ET). Yuck.

I was out of the house today so it asnt really sunk in yet, it will when I realize there's nothing to catch up on tonight on SoapNet. I haven't really watched GH in a few weeks, I may start when the crossovers start.

When I am home during the week like today, I fill that time with Celebrity Ghost Encounters and Paranormal State. Or sometimes Kitchen Nightmares. ;)

I finished reading a book. Sigh. It's going to be a long month of GH...I saved all last week and haven't watched it yet. I guess I'd better catch up. I only have one or two couples I like on that show, and I'm so tired of the same tired storylines. I'm really hoping the OLTL team will brighten things up. For anyone who doesn't know, the head writer and executive producer from OLTL are coming to GH, their material is supposed to start airing next month...

Thanks for the information on when OLTL will start on GH. I'm going to tune in, I already miss my OLTL!

Cany anyone tell me what happened after Jessica opened the door and Brody was there? I was always only able to watch until 2:45 (kid pickup) every day. That never mattered until last week! :sad1:

He said his friends had some "work" for him he was leaving town for -- some security kind of thing, I got the feeling. He told her he would always be there for her, and she should call him if she needs him. It left the door open for him to return to her life and them to be together again in the future. Oh! He also told her he was sorry about Ford. I think that's it, anyone else can chime in with more!

Ok, thanks!! I'm glad they didn't leave it off with him being such a psycho.

SO TRUE!!! I was bemoaning that to hubby Nebo... he suggested I start watching days of our lives. (there is also Y& R and B&B) I said I don't know any of the caharcters or history, etc.

he said"It won't take you that long to catch up" :scared1: how DARE he insinuate that the soaps are shallow, and the characters don't have a ton of history!!!(poor guy, that's what he gets for trying to help:rotfl:)

but, on our system anyway, you can only tape whatever channel the cable is on. and I won't be home to keep switching channels. sometimes I watch at work if I am cleaning a hosue,(ok, listen) but not when I am bartending , obviously . (for some reason, the guys at the VFW don't care for soaps:confused:)

but I will NOT watch Chew or Revolution!!!!!

there was a "party" of sorts in chicago, with some of the stars (incl Ilene roxy.... loved her ever since she was Delia on Ryan's hope) I live about 40 miles out of the city... should have gone....
as much as I loved All My Children, I know it got really boring.. but One life??? I thought it was great! can't figure out why they would cancel it.:sad1:
