***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

11 days! It's getting so close! Oh, and good news. DBF ordered an actual costume. :goodvibes I'm so excited he's getting into it. So we will be Mad Hatter and Hatress!! He ordered online, so hopefully it works out! Here's a pic of the one he ordered:

But with a different hat:

Excellent! I love your costumes! I hope everyone takes pictures of their costumes! DH and I will have our tshirts on, but I think they are funny, so we'll be sure to get a family pic to post on here.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

It's a good thing I'm the boss!

:lmao: I love that you're laughing at my infatuation! At least someone is entertained (besides me, of course!) :rotfl:

I'm not happy about having to park our car at the airport - Its so expencive, plus where we park, its such a long shuttle ride to and from the airport..... I wish we could take a car service, but my girls are still in booster seats....
Would be nice to have DHs parents drive us, but I ain't going there!!! LOL

We're in the 20's now, so figured it was a good time to post this.

23rd - Land @10:31AM, DME to CBR, check-in, have lunch, explore the resort then head over to DHS 7:05PM ADR @ Brown Derby

24th - Rope drop @ AK, 6:45PM ADR @ Grand Floridian Cafe, take ferry over to MK

25th - Sleep in!!! Resort pool and/or Typhoon Lagoon during the day, DTD at night 7:30PM ADR @ Portobella

26th - MK for rope drop, 4:45PM ADR @ Liberty Tree Tavern then Epcot for EMH

27th - DHS for rope drop, 1:15PM ADR @ Prime Time Cafe

28th - Dan's 10th Birthday!! Epcot for rope drop, 4:45PM ADR @ Coral Reef

29th - 7:45AM ADR @ Cape May Cafe character breakfast then the rest of the day, do whatever we feel we need to see/ride again

30th - 11:30AM departing flight BOOHOO! :sad1:  :scared1:
We will be in AK on the 24th as well. We also have an "off" day on the 25th, but we are eating at California Grill that night. The other days are "fly by the seat of our pants" days. Meaning....we'll go wherever we want, whenever we want. We'll let the kids decide. And, usually, on our last day (in this case the 28th), we hit all four parks.

This is the problem I am having. I checked limo services today and actually found one for $157. Not bad, but not great either. I just feel so uncomfortable leaving my car anywhere near the airport for 10 days! :scared1: BUT.....it's not like I can ask anyone to help us out. My mother doesn't speak to me unless she's bragging about something and my dad is just so tired from his job that I don't want to bother him. DHs family do not drive over the bridges. So....I'm stuck. But I will find a way to make it work.

We use one of the off site lots. We used them last time and I felt better about being there because it's a smaller lot and there was always an attendant. Much better than the economy lot at PHL. Plus the shuttle actually got us in quicker!! I'll look up the name and let you know tomorrow. Another suggestion would be Patco to the Septa R1 but you're leaving pretty early. Can you drive yourselves to the station and have DH's family pick up the car later or take a cab? Then you can have them pick you up at the station again or drop your car off sometime that day so it's there for you. I don't know how realistic that is for you. I don't know the Patco stations.

My costume came today. :cool1:

If it's not 90 degrees i'm going to wear a black shirt and black tights under it.

That's adorable! :goodvibes

I'm hoping it is cool enough for you to wear your tights because that will mean I won't be sweating! :rotfl:

Nice. The only reason I have such a "schedule" is because of the dining plan. Our family is really good at flying by the seats of our pants.

We are taking a limo. With tip it'll be around $150 for us. I'm not up for leaving my car at the airport either. We have actually had people offer to drive us. But our son has always wanted to ride in a limo so we figured this was the perfect chance. Plus we'll have to leave around 4:30AM and didn't want to have someone do that.

DBF and I took a half hooky day (we do that now and then. If feels good) and ran off to DL. It was quite empty and so very nice. Did some last minute shopping for anything we "need" before heading to WDW a week from this Friday (omg. it is so here!). Like of course I "needed" new Jack Skellington PJs and all those Jack pins that came out! LOL.

It felt good and suddenly, my headache went away...hmm...must have been the magic!

Our park and fly areas at LAX are usually hotel parking structures, so you are not really parking AT the airport. for 7 days I think it was $64, which was the same as the Super Shuttle. Was also considering the "town car" limo thing, which was $84.

Can you believe that we are leaving in 10 days....or you could say 9 sleeps.....or you could say, next Friday?????

Lisa, the closest PATCO station is twice the distance to the airport. :rotfl: I told you: waaay South Jersey. lol We'll figure something out. I just hate having to do this at the last minute.

Terri, the costume is great. And congrats on your Rays. As long as it's not Boston...... :)

dansdad, we are on the dining plan as well, but we are eating at California Grill so that eats up two credits, which frees up Friday. And Thrusday we have a "late" dinner (6pm....late for us) at Restaurant Marrakesh, so we can do whatever we'd like during the day. I am also going to try and sneak in some night EMHs. I think the kids would like that and I think we could get a lot done.

On another note: DS2.9 and I watched Ultimate Walt Disney World last night. I think tonight we will watch the Disney planning DVD...it shows more rides. I think he is getting very excited. Only one problem, though....he seems to want to ride all the rides that have a height restriction (like BTMRR). I've informed him he might not be tall enough and we have to measure him. I mean, he is wickedly tall for his age, but he's right at the cusp. I don't want to promise him something and have him (and me!) disappointed.

Cool! Hopefully we'll see you at Epcot, if not at SSR. :)

How did you make your room request? Are you a DVC member? I rented points for my stay this time and haven't done anything yet to request a certain section. I know that Congress Park is obviously the most popular, and I'd love to stay there. I certainly won't be holding my breath though, since I know everyone wants there. We stayed at SSR in March and stayed in The Paddocks and liked it there too. It'd be even better now that the new Paddocks pool is open. :)

Hope you're feeling better!
We're also at SSR, a bit later than you (arriving on the 15th). We're not DVC, staying on cash. Our TA put our request on our reservation. I'm glad to hear that CP is the most popular, since we have no interest in it! :rotfl:Maybe we'll get our Grandstand or Springs location!

good morning everyone hope everybody is getting as excited about Disney as our house. We have an 8:30 ADR at Askerhus we are staying at CBR what time should i plan on catching the bus to Epcot? I will need to go through bag check.

Cute! And not at all sleazy! :thumbsup2

Woohoo! Go Rays! :banana::banana::banana:

I know, totally off-topic. But I had to share.

I originally thought of a snarky comment here but then I figured I might have to eat my words at some point, so I'll reserve them. For now. ;)

So the lot we are using is Expresspark and here is a link to a coupon. http://www.expresspark.net/North_Lot_Coupon.htm

As for the whole anti-Boston thing, I am slightly confused by you being a Yankees fan and a Phillies phan together. It's like oil and water. Almost as bad as being a Boston fan and a Yankees fan together. I hate the Yankees almost as much as I hate the Mets, Devils and Cowboys. And you're south Jersey, so I don't get it more!

OK, so one of my biggest complaints of CBR is the bus service. The resort is HUGE and the bus service can either be quick or deathly slow, depending on, well, whether there is a bug on the windshield that day. I would give yourself an hour, easy, to get there. It could take 20 minutes to get a bus and then 20 minutes just to get out of the resort area. It won't take long to get to Epcot from CBR, but getting out of CBR could take a while. It might not, but it could. What day are you going and what time does Future World open that day?

26 days!!! I can't even believe we're in the 20s!!

Totally agree with this! I'm an Angels fan and couldn't be happier if the Rays stole the Wild Card!

10 days! 9 sleeps! A week from Friday! It all sounds good to me!

Thanks for the link!!! As for the Yankees vs Phillies thing: I root for the Yankees....as long as they are not playing my Phillies. I am a born and raised Phils Phan. I spent 12 years north of Boston. I do not like the Red Sox. I do not like the Patriots. However, I am a die hard Bruins fan (yes, I was rooting for them when the Flyers were playing them in the playoffs). RAY BORQUE IS THE MAN!!!!

Anyway.... :rotfl: .....hubby is a born and raised Yankees fan. Needless to say October 2009 was an oh-so-fun time in our household. Me and DS vs DH and DD (she follows her daddy :)) and DSlittleguy was supposed to be the tie-breaker, but we dress him up in Phillies t-shirts with Yankee ballcaps. :lmao:

The way I look at it: it's NL and AL, I can have my cake and eat it, too....until the World Series! :rotfl: It should be good this year. I really think we're going to see a 2009 repeat. Unless, of course, the Phils don't get out of the slump they are in.

OK, planning on watching some Disney DVD tonight. Maybe I can convince Quinn to watch Modern Marvels. I love that one!!! I think it's way above his level, though....he wants to see the rides. lol
