***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

Thanks for the link!!! As for the Yankees vs Phillies thing: I root for the Yankees....as long as they are not playing my Phillies. I am a born and raised Phils Phan. I spent 12 years north of Boston. I do not like the Red Sox. I do not like the Patriots. However, I am a die hard Bruins fan (yes, I was rooting for them when the Flyers were playing them in the playoffs). RAY BORQUE IS THE MAN!!!!

Anyway.... :rotfl: .....hubby is a born and raised Yankees fan. Needless to say October 2009 was an oh-so-fun time in our household. Me and DS vs DH and DD (she follows her daddy :)) and DSlittleguy was supposed to be the tie-breaker, but we dress him up in Phillies t-shirts with Yankee ballcaps. :lmao:

The way I look at it: it's NL and AL, I can have my cake and eat it, too....until the World Series! :rotfl: It should be good this year. I really think we're going to see a 2009 repeat. Unless, of course, the Phils don't get out of the slump they are in.

OK, planning on watching some Disney DVD tonight. Maybe I can convince Quinn to watch Modern Marvels. I love that one!!! I think it's way above his level, though....he wants to see the rides. lol

NL vs AL is slightly more acceptable than my house, which is NJ vs. PA. DH is from North Jersey and is a Mets, Devils and Cowboys fan. *shivers* I've got DD singing my T for Temple U song, the Eagles fight song and she sings "Take me out to the ball game" using "Let's root, root, root for the Phillies!" So I think we're good there! Drives him nuts! :rotfl:

Talk about confusing the poor kid!!

No doubt!! :lmao:

I got some LGMHs from Home Depot after I made some of my own. Mine turned out to be much larger but I laminated them and put them on rings, so i'm sticking with that. One on the wheelchair and one on my camera bag. And the wheelchair is decked out in Ray's gear; can't miss us. :goodvibes

I was thinking of putting some on our resort door, but since DBF doesn't know anything about this, he will think I'm nuts! :rotfl2:

Quick question regarding EMH: what is open at Epcot when they have evening EMH's? In the back of my mind i have a feeling that I have read that only future world is open during EMH is the correct or is the entire park open.

TIA

Good morning everyone! 25 days!! :cool1: I don't know why, but that feels like another milestone. Maybe because it's a quarter century?? What would it be here... a quarter hundred? :lmao: That's lame.

Anyway, :offtopic: I have a gripe, so I'm going to do it here. You know how I said I've been on the Topamax for my migraines? Well, I've gotten 3 migraines in the last WEEK! And two in the last two days! :scared1: So I had to go up another dose of the stupid drug. I hate this drug. But I won't be stuck in Disney with migraines. I did a little research on them last night between the aura and bed  and I think I've narrowed down what is triggering them. As you may know, I recently tested presumptive positive for Celiac. Well I had the genetic test done last week, so we'll see if that comes back positive, but if it does it would explain why this started happening after pregnancy - that's when the Celiac was triggered. So that plus the horrible weather in the mid-atlantic lately, which is a trigger, plus the copious amounts of chocolate I've been eating because, well, I can with all the weight loss :rotfl:, and voila - migraines. :headache: So I've cut out the chocolate to test my theory. Apparently the article said people need multiple triggers to set off migraines, some controllable and some uncontrollable. Right now I can't control the weather and I've already gone gluten free, so until my insides heal, the only thing I can control is the chocolate. This saddens me. Especially with Halloween coming up. I've cut so much out of my diet already. :sad2:

Ok, I'm done complaining. 25 DAYS!!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Just popping in to wish all those who celebrate a happy, healthy and sweet New Year!

oh go a head and complain migraines suck. Hoping that cutting back on the chocolate works.

Lisa, I can empathize. After years of not having migraines, I have been brought to my knees so many times this past week. I go right home from work and lay down in the bedroom because they are so bad. No time to pack, plan or anything Disney. I think it's the weather. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Primarily, because I have not had any chocolate this week: the kids are what I had at home and the vending machine at work is out.

I was hoping to pack a bit tonight, but DS's wrestling coach called, so it's off to practice....45 minutes away from home. I hate driving this much!!!! I've already put 100 miles on my poor van today taking DH to and from the oral surgeon.

OK...enough whining for now. I can always start packing and re-checking my lists when I get home at 8:30 tonight, right? :rotfl:

We have the same initials, I'm really LMC, too and we have similar maladies...migraine/headache sufferer since in my teens. Sometimes I wouldn't know what it was like without a headache. I also have Meniere's which stinks to high heaven. I hope you are feeling better. I'm trying to get my Disney life in order, but my regular life keeps getting in the way!

I hear ya on the driving! I drive 50 miles round trip to and from work everyday; on Monday and Wednesday I put another 12 miles round trip taking DS to karate; and then you add in all the other errands - grocery, mall, PO, dr and dentist appts., soccer, Girl Scouts - whew - I need to sit down and rest!:lmao:

I hate that those of you with migraines are having a difficult time so close to your trips. I hope your drs. can get it figured out for you before you go. Maybe the weather and increased dopamine (no idea if that is spelled right, but it is the happy chemical we produce) will make you feel better!:thumbsup2

Anyway - I have all the suitcases laid out in the scrapbook room (to keep the cat out) and I have the Disney box in there and some of DD's clothes. I need to get cracking because there are ONLY TWO MORE WEEKENDS!!!!!:dance3::cool1::yay::cheer2:

17 days and we'll be in the World. I am so excited and, now, DH and the kids are getting right up there with me! :thumbsup2

2 Weeks from right now, we will be loading up Devon( my cars name). Well actually he will be all packed the night before, but we are leaving around 2. Super excited. I really need to find other things to occupy my mind, because earlier today I was looking up gas prices on our way to the mouse house. All I can think about it our vacation. Hope everybody is having a good day and those pesky headaches and migraines go away soon. Sendind you pixie dust. :tink:

I'm going to definitely say weather, then! Did you know, according to the article I read, that Canada and Germany have hotlines set up for people with migraines to check if it's going to be a bad weather day? Sort of like pollen levels for allergy sufferers. :thumbsup2 I thought that was cool. For advanced as we are in the states, we are certainly behind on some things. Anyway, I just saw where now it's supposed to rain this weekend and I am NOT happy about that!! :headache: Two days ago the forecast was sunny!!!!!

We have the same initials, I'm really LMC, too and we have similar maladies...migraine/headache sufferer since in my teens. Sometimes I wouldn't know what it was like without a headache. Yay on the initials!! LMC are my initials before I got married. Now they are LCD (like the monitor!). My screen name was gotten before I got married. Are you a Lisa Marie? I'm a Lisa Michelle but everyone forever asked if I was a Lisa Marie because of Lisa Marie Presley. I'm sorry about the Meniere's. That really sucks!! I can see how that would cause headaches/migraines. Is that what does it?

OK, think of a wonderful thought. Any happy little thought....:rolleyes1

A few things....9 days till Disney (we are in the single digits)

As for those of you suffering from the migraines. Ask your Dr.'s about a Myelogram. It is a test done to check spinal pressure. I am NOT a Dr, but they have helped a few people I know, including my son (who also has Chiari) He has low pressure, which causes the pain.

Single digits! WOOHOO! 9 DAYS!!

Costume update: DBFs Mad Hatter hat came and it is giant!! It's comical. I was worried at first, but he was stuffing it with stuff and wearing it around the house practically dancing. :thumbsup2 I'm glad he's getting on board with this. *whew!*

I don't think I have migraines; mine are sinus/allergy headaches. They were all gone yesterday, since the sun came out, but today we have overcast skies again. The weather just needs to choose!!

By the way, is that common knowledge that chocolate can induce migraines? I have a co-worker who gets them bad. I wonder if she's away of that!

Have a great day everyone!

If the changes in food don't take them away, I will definitely ask my doc about this. Thanks!

Awesome DBF is good with the costume!! :thumbsup2

Funny thing about sinus headaches - I found out that most people who think they have sinus stuff actually have migraines. However - easy way to tell. If sinus meds work for you, it's sinus. And yes, there are lots of food triggers for migraines. Chocolate is a big one. Red wine, aged cheese, msg are others, just to name a few. The article I was reading said you usually need more than one trigger to induce a migraine, which was key for me to read because I was keeping a journal for a while and nothing was standing out but I was looking for one thing, not multiple things. If she keeps a journal with foods and weather patterns and such, she may find what's triggering her migraines.
