10 days...9 sleeps..almost in the singles..woohooo..We even watched "Lion King" last night..My youngest ds had never seen it..Its one of my fav's. lots and lots to still get done..going shopping today..may buy a few new clothes for me self..lol Hope u all have a lovely day. :cheer2::banana::cool1:

28 days from now we will be at WDW. Received the luggage tags this week and watched the youtube video. Tomorrow's project will be putting them on the suitcases. Wish me luck :lmao::lmao:

got some things checked off my list today!

  • bought DD3 some new tennis shoes to break in
  • went to Party City and got some cute, cute, cute pirate costumes for DS8 and DD3. DD decided to do Pirate's League this year instead of BBB!
  • pulled out suitcases, laid out in spare bedroom
  • packed a few things
  • called a friend and borrowed a stroller for the trip (used to rent a double, but don't need one for DS8 anymore!)
I told my family that every weekend for the next 4 weeks we would all spend time packing or doing something for the trip! They, of course, knew to just say, "ok, mom!"

Jessica - the owner of the UPS store I have been working with to get the transfers made, called me this morning.....IT WORKED. THEY ARE DONE.

I then went and picked up the transfers, then went and picked up shirts and I have already started ironing some of them on.

YAY!!!!!!!! We have shirts.

YAY!!!!!!!! We have shirts.

yay! :cool1:

Today I caught DH reading allEars. He told me he's concerned about our Sat. Crowd numbers. pretty soon he's going to be as addicted as I am.

I just wish he could help with the more important planning decisions - like what am I going to where for shoes with my Minnie costume?

Actually, most of my list is done now except packing and making the banners and stuff for DHs birthday surprise. Still need to get the PhotoPass CD. I was thinking about skipping it this time, but we're planning to do a lot of characters at MNSSHP.

Decided to take Jeff (DH) out for his birthday we went to a Teppondo type of restaurant - to see how the kids would react. While Kate (DD) didn't react while at all she got sick all over the car on the drive home. :scared1: So needlessl to say I just cancelled Teppondo and got the french bistro one.

YEP - 2 weeks from RIGHT NOW.....We will be getting ready to head to Animal Kingdom.

By the way, do you use any kind of touring plan to decide what days to go to what parks? b\c I just discovered last night, that ALL park hours have changed for out week. So now I am having to re-think our daily plan.

As of right now:
Sat (8th) - Animal Kingdom - shopping at DTD evening
Sun (9th) - Hollywood Studios - Wishes dessert party at MK @ 8pm
Mon (10th) - Epcot
Tues (11th - KAYLA's BIRTHDAY) - Magic Kingdom
Wed (12th) - Animal Kingdom - shopping at outlet mall
Thurs (13th) - Epcot - Free day - any park for evening
Fri (14th) - Magic Kingdom - ALL DAY

If any of your days are the same, let me know and we can plan a time to say "HELLO Dis Friend"

We match up on the 8th (AK) and the 13th (Epcot)!! I was concerned about the increase in numbers, but I don't really want to change anything this close to the trip. I have which day at which park memorized by now!

Sat (8th) - Animal Kingdom
Sun (9th) - MK
Mon (10th) - Free day, MNSSHP
Tue (11th) - Potterville
Wed (12th) - DHS
Thurs (13th) - Epcot

Our day at AK, we have no real set plans. Although, I am considering calling and seeing if BY CHANCE they have any Wild Africa Treks left open (doubt it). But for Epcot day, we have F&W reservations at 1, 2, and 6 pm! lol

I can't believe we are less than 2 weeks out!! I truly cannot wait.

Thanks! And if anyone is in need of a  today, it's you! I hope tomorrow is a billion times better than today!:thumbsup2
Thank you!!!! I so needed that! Yesterday was a better day. Of course, DD11 is attached to my hip now, but it's all good. We were able to meet Mike Schmidt and Corey Matthews yesterday. :yay::yay::yay:

For those of you that don't know, Mike Schmidt is the best 3rd baseman. EVER. And he was a Philly (hey....I am from South Jersey! lol). He was awesome. Very gracious and allowed me to take multiple pics and talked to DS10. Wow! What an experience.

I know have a crush on Corey Matthews. (He's a Philadelphia Eagle, peoples....his brother plays for Green Bay). My goodness, that man is good-looking. And nice, to boot!!! He actually called DS10 behind the table to talk to him and get pics. I promise I will post pics later. I'm too darned tired to do it right now. I was actually trying to sleep in this morning with all the drama this past week, but my body doesn't allow that; it's like I have an internal alarm clock and if I don't get UP by 6:30, at the latest, I will have a migraine and stomach issues all day. Not fun.

Then, we had my best friend's family come over last night for dinner and a movie. We watched X-Men: First Class. Our family had already seen it, but we didn't mind watching it again. I actually caught some things I missed.

Argh, my wedding is Thursday and I still don't have everything and I still don't have all my Mickey Mail; I just have the ME stuff. I emailed my TA last week and she said I should have it by this week but I still haven't seen it and I am 9 days out. Rats, and it's the weekend. If I don't see my mail by Monday afternoon I'm gonna call her again.
I was married on a Thursday!!! It must be good luck. Everything will work out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get your Mickey Mail by Monday night.

Getting ready to leave for the airport. Should be at OKW in 9 hrs.
Have a wonderful trip!!!!

I'm getting excited! We'll be at the French Quarter October 24-29. Only 30 days away!
I've added you to the first post!!!!

I am so glad the transfers worked. Yea!!!!!! :cool1:

We will be at MK on the 21st. You can't miss us: DH is 6'5.5" tall and is always wearing a Yankee, Philly or Eagles ballcap. Oh, wait, I forgot - he just got a 49ers one and a Penn State one. UGH. OK...guess we'll move on to the rest of the family. I'm short. 5'3" (barely) and I have red hair. I'm loud. When I say something, the people surrounding me hear it to most of the time (unintentionally, of course....sorry about that), but I am partially deaf, so I blame that. :rotfl: DD11 is my height (guess she gets that from her dad). She has my curly hair, but it's brown. Although.....it might be another color when we get there (yes, I allow her to color her hair whatever she wants....it had purple highlights this time last year). DS10 is just kinetic energy in a body. He keeps going and going and going. Like me, his mouth never stops. He has brown hair and a buzz cut, but he'll probably be wearing a hat. Oh, I forgot: DD wears a Yankee visor and I wear a black UnderArmor one. DS2.9 will be in a sage green Graco stoller, enjoying life. He'll be wearing his Phillies or Yankees ball cap. His has reddish hair like his mom.

You know what? Let me find a pic and post it.....that would be soooo much easier!

There!!! That should work, right?

OK...more later. I'm going to go and help DH with Sunday breakfast. I can hear everyone stirring in the house (I'm in my office).

Have a great Sunday, everyone!!!!

12 days - I can't believe we are going to Disney in 12 days. It has been a long 2 years since my last trip, but I will be back in 12 days.!!!!!

DH is already planning for our next trip, same time next year. I tried to tell him we should go in Feb for FREE dining (& dd will be tracked out) but he said there was no way we could go again 2 months after Christmas.

Oh - and I did the Dis Halloween exchange and.....that was soooooo cool. I loved everything I received from my mailer. I have already signed up for the Christmas Present exchange, and will also be signing up for the Christmas ornament and stocking exchanges when they open. I am even going to sign up my DD - she love getting packages in the mail, as much as I did. I will be buying my person's stuff in Disney in 12 days

Have a great day

One week from today we will be in our Happy Place. ADRs are made, online check-in is done, and nothing to do now but.........:surfweb: :rolleyes1

Although, I am considering calling and seeing if BY CHANCE they have any Wild Africa Treks left open (doubt it).

I saw a thread recently where someone said that she and her daughter were the only ones on their tour! So I wouldn't assume it's filled up.

We did it in Feb when it first opened. It was so worth it!!!:banana::banana:

14th- DHS
15th- AK am/ DTD pm
16th- No definite plans other than ADR @ WCC in the evening

Smith- looks like I'll might bump into you on the 15th. :) We have a breakfast ADR at Rainforest at 8:30 and will probably spend most of the day at AK, depending on how quickly we get stuff done. I hope to have some of LGMH on me bag, so please stop me and say hi if you see me. :)

Ok, I have 2 coveted ADRs I need to offload. If anyone is interested, please message me. We can coordinate a time. :) I'll be posting these in both Oct threads before on the main board. If I don't hear anything in the next few days, I'll just release them.

I have ADRs to release for:

Wed 10/12 'Ohana @ 5:05p for a party of 6
Mon 10/17 Garden Grill @ 4:35 for a party of 8

Have a great Sunday, everyone! :goodvibes

What is the Halloween and Christmas exchange? :confused3

What is the Halloween and Christmas exchange? :confused3

The Halloween exchange is over but the Christmas exchange is about to start.....you go to the exchange thread's and find an exchange (they are under community board) and you give your name and address to the person who started it, and tell them a little about you and what you like and then she send's out your exchange buddy info to you and tells you about that person and what they like and you go buy them a gift to send to them.

I am not explaining this well, but it is really cool.
