I would love some feedback!:rotfl:

Took the family to Walgreens today to get window decor. I found the Disney Halloween window clings, and got a plastic, light up double headed Minnie/Mickey jack-o-lantern. Really wanted the 2 1/2 foot tall Mickey vampire, but I would have had to carry him on the plane. Do you think they would make me buy a ticket for him?:rotfl:

I have also stopped by Walgreens. I've gotten some Disney things for entertainment in the car (activity books and stickers), some light-up toys for the parades, and some pumpkin Mickey bubbles to entertain the 2 year old when we are in lines for rides. Hope it works! I also got the window clings. Those might decorate the car windows on the way down!

just wondering since Mk has extended hours on Sat Oct 22 (both morning and evening) do you think they will open CP earlier? I made an ADR for before park opening so i could get some pics without other people. If not it certainly is not going to wreck the day but one can hope.

No..sorry

After many hours of searching ADR's and finding nothing we are going to stick to the orginal schedule of Oct 22 at MK. So we are figuring on getting there for rope drop stay around the park until it gets busy then go back to the hotel for an afternoon swim/nap.

Now for some good news: DH surprised us all by adding two more days to our vacation. :cool1:

The way airlines nickel and dime us these days? You betcha! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Great news to report... DH's Ken costume is FINALLY done! I will post pics later today. I'll throw my costume on and take a pic of myself, too.

  Such great news!!!

Well, today is ONE MONTH for us!!! :woohoo: I can hardly stand it! I've been busy at work just enough not to be able to get on the DIS a lot, but not enough to keep my mind pre-occupied. :headache: That's a sucky combination. So I'm glad we're a month away! It seem so real now! Now I'm in the thick of it - time to start making sure everything that needs to be gotten is gotten and we have everything ready to be packed. Weekends are prime time in my house, so I need to be prepared in case there isn't much time to spare.

:offtopic: I have been looking for a new car lately since my lease is up. I need to keep my payments low and I beat the crap out of cars, which is why I tend to lease them. I can just give them back in 3 years. I did buy once and then I had DD and a 2 door coupe doesn't work with an infant seat, so I sold it and got the car I have now, which is a Rouge. I'm looking for something similar but no one can get my payments under 300/month, which is where I need to be. Anyway, anyone have car suggestions? I'd love to be in a crossover since I'm short and SUVs tend to be too high and bulky for my liking and sedans are back breaking when you have to strap a toddler into the car each day (and park on the street, like I do - leaning down from the curb to the car is a PITA!!!!). So suggestions welcome!

Ok, now time to catch up some more before I have to go record some elearning audio in a noisy office, just to have to bring it home and record it again this weekend. Ho hum.

You should look at the Toyota Venza, It is technically a SUV Crossover, but a smaller version. I have a Murano and the Venza is about 4" shorter than those. And they priced pretty good too, so they many be able to do something for you. I really like it on the inside; I must have driven it like 4 times now, but have decided to wait to buy a car (again). By the way, last time I suggested this car to a co-worker, they bought it within 3 days. lol

And by the way smitch425 your costume is AMAZING!! :thumbsup2

Cool, I'll check it out, thanks! I've talked to Toyota about the Rav4 and they can't get below $300 without me putting like $2K down, which is ridiculous for a lease. Japanese car makers aren't dealing right now, though, because their ports were hurt in the tsunami in Japan and it is taking a bit to recover. That's what I was told, anyway. So we'll see if they have any deals on the Venza. :goodvibes

Fantastic!!!:cool1:

Yeah!!!!:yay:

smitch - the costume looks great!!!! terri - the Skeletor costume is way cool.

Lisa - try a Chevy Equinox or Traverse. The Traverse is more expensive, but the Equinox has a lot more room than you expect. Hope that helps.

Today has been the day from.....

well, we're not going to go there. Needless to say, I am a blithering mess right now and I need retail therapy STAT!!! The middle school called me first thing this morning about DD11. There are major issues going on and, oh yeah...I've been voted worst mother of the year by the Vice Principal and the Guidance Counselor. All because I was in the middle of payroll and wouldn't drop paying my employees to come racing for a tweenager spazzing!!!! UGH!!!

So, it's been an incredibly long, upsetting day and I need to get past it. Hakuna Matata, right? But your behind in your past? (sorry...I had to) Anyway....heading to the mall to pick up my jeans that came in (would you believe they didn't have any on the rack? way to make a girl feel good about herself. lol), visit the Disney store and maybe Target. I told DH about the pumpkin Mr. Potato Head stuff.....you stick the pieces in a pumpkin to make a vampire, a cowboy or a Buzz Lightyear.

You guys take care. I'm gonna go and try to get my Disney on so I can tune out what occurred today.

I can't believe it is only 15 days!!!!!!! :woohoo: I have been waiting about 25 years for this trip. My dh says I have lost my mind, because Disney is all I think or talk about :rotfl: We will be at Pop Oct. 10-16. We are doing Chef Mickey's on 10/10, Hollywood and Vine and 50's Primetime on 10/12, Aker. Storybook Princess on 10/13, and CRT on 10/14 :dance3:

Everyone's trips are getting so close!! Two weeks from RIGHT NOW I should be just checking in to my resort. Is it just me, or does the time start going slower...?

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

You look GREAT! I just wish we were going to be at the same party! Can't wait to see Ken!

LOVE it! And you look SO different as a blonde! I had to look twice and read your siggy again!! Can't wait to see DH!!!

Thank you both! and  I will try to get DH to let me take a pic this weekend. I may not be able to get him to wear the whole thing until we are walking out of our room at POP. He is fighting me a bit on wearing the ascot, but I told him 8 hours of his life won't kill him!:lmao: And I get the double take on the looking different as a blond thing. My mom used to have hair even darker than mine and out of the blue she decided to go blond. She showed up backstage during one of my high school plays and I literally walked by her not even knowing who she was. When she called my name and I turned around I fell on the floor in shock. True story...I literally dropped to the floor!:rotfl2:

And by the way smitch425 your costume is AMAZING!! :thumbsup2

Thank you!

smitch - the costume looks great!!!!

Thanks! And if anyone is in need of a  today, it's you! I hope tomorrow is a billion times better than today!:thumbsup2

Argh, my wedding is Thursday and I still don't have everything and I still don't have all my Mickey Mail; I just have the ME stuff. I emailed my TA last week and she said I should have it by this week but I still haven't seen it and I am 9 days out. Rats, and it's the weekend. If I don't see my mail by Monday afternoon I'm gonna call her again.

YEP - 2 weeks from RIGHT NOW.....We will be getting ready to head to Animal Kingdom.

By the way, do you use any kind of touring plan to decide what days to go to what parks? b\c I just discovered last night, that ALL park hours have changed for out week. So now I am having to re-think our daily plan.

As of right now:
Sat (8th) - Animal Kingdom - shopping at DTD evening
Sun (9th) - Hollywood Studios - Wishes dessert party at MK @ 8pm
Mon (10th) - Epcot
Tues (11th - KAYLA's BIRTHDAY) - Magic Kingdom
Wed (12th) - Animal Kingdom - shopping at outlet mall
Thurs (13th) - Epcot - Free day - any park for evening
Fri (14th) - Magic Kingdom - ALL DAY

If any of your days are the same, let me know and we can plan a time to say "HELLO Dis Friend"

I live and die by Unofficial Giude (touringplans.com). Not their "recommended parks" but their hours and park touring plans. And yes, crowd levels have gone up. Disney only ups park hours if there are more guests than the original model called for. The reason I don't use their "recommended park" or "park to avoid" is because these are aimed at the general public that don't arrive at RD, can't use EMH, etc. They explain what all goes into it, and it just doesn't fit us. But the numbers are usually dead-on. EasyWDW also has good info though his is less scientific.

I finished our park and party touring plans last night. I feel better now knowing that we can fit in what we want and prioritizing so we're not pressed for time and no one is disappointed. For these I usually start with one of their base plans and then modify accordingly. I like to minimize crisscross-crossing the park with DSis's wheelchair where possible. And to avoid bottle-neck crowds. People just have no sense when it comes to darting in front of us. I mean, those things don't stop on a dime. At this point I can pretty much build a plan from scratch because I have memorized what rides fill up when and how long it takes to do a particular attraction. (yes, I know - I need serious help! :rotfl:)

This trip our TPs are a bit different, as Epcot will be focused less on rides and more on doing all the interactive stuff in the FW pavilions that we blew by last time. Plus exploring the Epcot pavilions. Much more low-key. Of course our main goal is to eat every item on the F&W passport. :thumbsup2

Well, off to a school potluck. I have a lot of real life stuff to get through in the next 26 days.
