***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

I don't have any answers for you, but the same thing happened to my week. (7-14). They extended hours for me, so I'm just going with my original plan.

i'm beginning to think we will stick with original plan and just go back to the hotel in the afternoon then back to the park for the evening.

I was thinking about starting to practice pack last night also, the days and nights are cold here now, so I think shorts tshirts bathing suits especially I could start on, sunscreen stuff like that, VERY exciting.

"practice pack"?

I'm sticking with my original plans. We're going to MK on Friday the 21st. The 22nd is our DHS day. I am planning to get there first thing in the morning and maybe leave by early afternoon. The pool may be calling. LOL

At least they did extend the hours for many of the days.

OK....off to the bedroom to pack a bit more. I called the Magnolia Spa today to confirm my reservation and was concerned when they told me I needed a military ID to use the spa services since I had not been told that when I booked. I ended up calling their corporate offices and was assured that the policy has been changed and the Magnolia Spa is welcoming all guests. Good thing, I would hate to be turned away when I got there. :scared1:

After many hours of searching ADR's and finding nothing we are going to stick to the orginal schedule of Oct 22 at MK. So we are figuring on getting there for rope drop stay around the park until it gets busy then go back to the hotel for an afternoon swim/nap.

Now for some good news: DH surprised us all by adding two more days to our vacation. :cool1:

Took the family to Walgreens today to get window decor. I found the Disney Halloween window clings, and got a plastic, light up double headed Minnie/Mickey jack-o-lantern. Really wanted the 2 1/2 foot tall Mickey vampire, but I would have had to carry him on the plane. Do you think they would make me buy a ticket for him?:rotfl:

OOOH! I still need to do this. Thanks for the reminder.

is now a 9.4 out of 10 at MK :scared1: time to do some changes don't want to deal with a 9.4. Hopefully I can still get ADR's.

so how bad is a 9 out of 10 are we talking christmas crowds

9 is holiday level crowds. Think Christmas or Spring Break. However, with a good touring plan, you will be fine.

So far our dates look decent still. 10/15 is an 8/10 overall and 10/22 is a 9/10 overall... but otherwise the highest we have is a 4 overall. We are also always going to the best park or neutral park and have a plan. So, I am not worried yet!

thank you sooooo much for the video of the luggage tags!!! I was utterly confused!!!
You know, if that slit was actually cut all the way thru, it might actually be easier to figure out!!!

We're at Epcot on the 22. It's always been listed as 8.8 and that hasn't really changed. We knew it would be rough. But we're really only doing the park and F&W from opening until 2:30. After that we have hard ticketed, demos and Party for the Senses.

So the crowds won't bother us too much. Our other days are 1s and 2s.

Just had to share -- DH told me that he's been "Disney planning". Apparently he's been watching old clips of He-Man so that he can spout Skeletor lines all night at MNSSHP.

Did I mention that this is the DH that never plans more than a week out and never wears Halloween costumes? :rotfl:

yay for all the Mickey Mail that came in!

and for adding extra day's too!

we are at 21 days :banana::banana:

Got my Mickey mail yesterday!! Yay!! :yay::yay::yay:

I am under a month now (October 20th - 31st). I got my new Mickey and Pooh Halloween window clings last weekend, so I am ready to go!! :cool1:

OMG I love the Skeletor costume!! It looks better than I imagined! I'm hoping that DBF suddenly becomes like your DH as we are looking for a costume for him this weekend. We usually are not costume people either, but for some reason I really had an urge to dress up for MNSSHP (honestly, I think it was infectious from all the DIS people dressing up!) :thumbsup2

We got our ME stuff Wednesday. Hoping our package stuff comes prior to us moving on 9/29 to TN.

Less than a week to go! :cool1:
I am a bit worried over the weather, looks like tons of rain on the forecast, really hope it doesn't put a damper on our MNSSHP day nor our Halloween 5K race.

I put costumes together for both days, I am really psyched to finally have some time off, this vacation couldn't come at a better time, it isn't very long, by any means, but I am not complaining! I need to start packing soon!

(I posted this in the other October thread, too. If you are having the feeling that you read this before, then you probably did.:rotfl:)

Great news to report... DH's Ken costume is FINALLY done! I will post pics later today. I'll throw my costume on and take a pic of myself, too.

In other news, DH's entire family will now be at the World while we are there. We already knew that his parents and brother's family would get there toward the end of our trip, but now his sister's family will be there the entire week we are there. By the way, im4kycats, his sister lives in Franklin, TN. :rotfl: So... all 15 of us will be there at the same time for the last 3 days of our stay. We are not making specific plans to tour together, but I'm sure we'll end up spending a couple of hours todgether at MK. They know how seriously DH and I take our Disney vacations, so they will be the ones tagging along with us and definitely NOT the other way around. No highjacking of our trip-- ain't gonna happen!:lmao:

On the countdown front, we leave 3 weeks from today!!! However... we will be going back home to Indiana two weeks from today for my SIL's baby shower, and I want to have EVERYTHING ready to pack before we leave for that trip. DH gets Columbus Day off, so we plan to do most of our packing that Monday. I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I'm kind of nervous about the shower. I told my mom that I had bought the stroller and the carseat that my li'l bro registered for, and she said that my stepdad's mom wanted to get them that. Apparently, that is what she ALWAYS gets the grandkid's who are having a baby. By "always", she means ONCE. She only has one great-grandchild.:rotfl: I have a feeling I will be getting the evil eye throughout the gift opening part of the shower (if not the ENTIRE shower).:rotfl: Oh well... no one told me I couldn't buy it and he's my brother so it is what it is.:rolleyes1

It is pouring down rain here. I guess I'll work on packing lists and transferring episodes of WIPEOUT! onto DVD. We are not allowed to delete them off of the DVR until they are put on a DVD. DS is the show's #1 fan. Here is a pic of him at DHS last summer doing a wipeout...

Yep... that's my baby. :rotfl: He's so silly!

I'll get the costume pics up by this afternoon. Have a great day, everyone!!! :cheer2:

just wondering since Mk has extended hours on Sat Oct 22 (both morning and evening) do you think they will open CP earlier? I made an ADR for before park opening so i could get some pics without other people. If not it certainly is not going to wreck the day but one can hope.

my TA sent me an email and our mickey package has arrived there in Toronto and they were mailing it out yesterday so I'm assuming pending our pony express it'll arrive Monday/Tuesday at the latest ! I cannot WAIT to be all confused over my luggage tags and how to get them on there and whatnot. Going insane with excitement over here !

Just tell her how convenient it is to have two! We had spares at the grandparent's house and it made life so much easier because we didn't have to haul everything over when the kids spent the night or a day with them.:thumbsup2

It is pouring down rain here. It has been here, too. Is it wrong to hope DD's soccer practice gets rained out?:rolleyes1 I guess I'll work on packing lists and transferring episodes of WIPEOUT! onto DVD.
