Yea, we have thought about doing option 1 or just getting a taxi. We could easily upgrade our tickets another day if it comes to that. Does anyone know what a taxi might cost?
Probably about $15.

My wife and I had a great trip in June. Now ready for Octoboer. Will be at Disneyworld Oct. 8th to 14th. :cool1::woohoo::dance3:

if you use a cab and have kids in that require booster chairs do you have to provide them - how does it work.

Found this online:

By Florida law, children 3 and under MUST be restrained in a 5 point harness in all vehicles excluding public buses. So, if you're going to take a taxi, its a good bet that taxi driver is going to require you to use a car seat so he doesn't get into trouble, I would think. And I wouldn't use any seat a taxi driver would provide. There would be no telling the history of the seat.

I always suggest taking an easy time of it the first day. You don't want to push too hard so you are ready for your first full day of fun. We usually schedule a nice dinner and then fill in the time before it. Maybe Downtown Disney and have a dinner reservation down there like Raglan Road? Or hang out at the pool at POFQ or walk over to POR and then have a dinner reservation at Cali Grill or somewhere else?

We are coming in on Friday the 14th. Our flight lands at 2:40pm (I think lol). We have a dinner reservation for Flying Fish at 7:40pm. We plan on just resting up in the room, getting settled, maybe a short walk if there is time. Otherwise, all we have is the reservation... now if I can just figure out the best way to GET to Flying Fish from POFQ!

Thanks for all the info! Knowing my crew, there won't be any relaxing on the first day. They will be ready to go as soon as the plane lands!

Last year we drove and ended up walking into MK just before the fireworks. It was my kids first trip and they were just blown away.

It seems we are all on board with giving Epcot a try and then heading to MK if it seems to crowded. I am more excited than they are about getting there.

We went to Party America today (they had customes 50% off ) Talked DS into being Peter Pan:told Keith that Peter Pan is Jakes teacher (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) DD is still sticking with her Tinker bell but found her a really cute custome. Kids want Jeff and I to dress up as pirates, will see what I can find.

Tomorrow i have to make my list of to do's and write it down instead of keeping it in my head.

WOOOHOOOO just planned a short trip for just me and my sister!!!! We will be staying at the GF 10/16-18 I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!:yay:

Having recently took a cab (in my hometown) I may be able to put in my two cents. Because of the child seat laws and when calling a cab a car seat is likley not to be on had, the cabs (in my hometown) have "built in" child seats. The main seat flips down to act as the booster and the 5 point harness is revieled and easily applied. With WDW being a family place full of little ones, I wounldn't be supprised if FL cabs had the same set up. You could call them and find out.:thumbsup2

I was getting so bummed!!! I looked at the WDW site and my ticker there said 143 days, but my ticker here said 2 months and change. The math wasn't adding up. I check my resservation to make sure the dates were correct, yup all good. So, I busted out the calaender and counted the days manually. 80 days!!!! I'm 20 days past the double digit dance!!! So here's mine:cool1::yay::cheer2:

Whoo-hoo.....let's hear it for the double digit dance!!!! You might want to look at your Disney account when you get a moment and find out why your ticker was wrong.

My ticker on the WDW website is ALWAYS wrong. It takes messing around with retrieving your reservations to get it to reset itself. Don't know why, other than the fact that they have the WORST website ever!! ;) I don't know why they haven't gotten their act together....probably for the same reason why they don't have a 1-800 number...because they don't have to!

Mine is always wrong and half the time my reservations don't show up... Very annoying.:headache:

I'm with you there. I'll go on and want to look at my ticker or play with my reservations and BAM!.....they just disappear. I'll log on a couple of hours later and there they are. It's not only annoying, but it's poor business.

On the WDW website issues - does anyone else ever have trouble getting to your reservations? I often have to switch browsers to get it to stop asking me for my username and password every time I click My Reservations. Sometimes it works in FireFox and sometimes it only works in IE.

I have found that if I log out and log in sometimes it will just show up! With a company like Disney, who is all about technology and Experiences, why would they continue with a website as bad as theirs!

Hey, we have similar dates and it will be our first time also. We've got a DD10 and a DS3, we fly in the same day but leaving the 22. I'ld say wait till you get there and see how things play out on your first day or two in the parks. If you find would would like to hop, then add it on. It would really be a shame to spend the money on hopping then not hop. Our fist park day is AK also, I'll be sure to have my LMGH (Lime Green Mickey Head, the offical Dis'er tag). If you see me, say

Great - thanks! Will have my LMGH as well and will be sure to :wave2:

For adding Park Hopper, can you do it for certain days only? Let's say we have a 5 day ticket, we go for our first two days, then on Day 3 decide we want to Park Hop. Do we get charged for the remaining days (3-5)? Do they charge us for the previous days (so add it to all 5 days of the existing ticket)? Can we just add it for Day 3?

Thank you!

I always have to log off and back on again on the WDW site to get my ticker to show up right. I rarely go there for anything except to look up info. I have my confirmation numbers, so all else is good for me!

My family is going from Oct.19th -25th staying at the Poly.:banana::banana:
We have never tried the Poly so we are very excited.:cool1:
