***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

I'm getting married today!!! Just sitting around waiting for my hairdresser to show up to the house. I'm gonna cry all day! So excited! Wish me luck! :goodvibes:goodvibes

YAY! Congrats!! ENJOY!:lovestruc

So I had a friend come over and help me with a makeup test for my costume. Lots of bright green eye shadow! It turned out really well though, so I think I'm officially done talking about the costume! lol

I feel awful though. While my friend was there, her car got towed out of my condo complex. She was parked in a restricted spot for MAYBE 45 minutes (yes, I told her to park there....), and bam. Towed. I feel awful. Can I ask everyone's opinion on this. Should I give her the money for the tow? I offered, but she refused saying I Disney coming up, but I feel absolutely terrible....

Opinions please!!

couldn't believe it until i doubled checked Friday night's party is sold out.:scared1: hoping that is because of the anniversary celebration on the first of october.

I would give her the money, or maybe treat her to something if she won't take it. I am sure she does not blame you, but I would still at least try to pay for it again. Maybe you guys could split it.

 We are 23 days! How 'bout those Phils!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Awesome on the makeup! And on the friend thing, yes, I would give her the money or at least offer to split it since you told her to park there. If she won't accept, then offer to take her out to dinner or cook her a meal at home for a girls night in or something. If she won't do that, get her something at Disney that's exclusive to Disney World, since you both are so close to DL. I'd try to make it up to her somehow. :flower3:

Donny is very tall and does not do roller coasters. At. all. The man would not even get on Goofy's Barnstormer (feel free to make fun of him should you see us! :rotfl2:). Yet he rode the orange version of Mission:Space. Go figure. He goes on the teacups, while I wave from the fence. He loves to try all the different foods with me and is just as much a kid as I am when we are there.

Sounds like us. I get motion sick so I can't do any motion simulator or even look at the teacups. But I love coasters. DH (Andrew) doesn't do anything coaster or drops. Though he did Space Mountain in DL a number of years ago and is going to try it again this trip. DSis (Steph) is almost as adventurous as I am; she passed on ToT though. And I doubt I could get her to ride RnRc again. DS8 (Alex) is not afraid of heights like his dad but he has anxiety issues -- 3D movies, really loud noises and going to fast all freak him out. He did BTMRR ok but that was his limit. And we had the worst anxiety attack ever when we took him on Ellen's Energy ride. I had no idea it had big dinosaurs in it; I felt awful and after that he had a hard time believing us when we told him something wasn't scary. Fortunately we'll be doing repeat rides this time -- Soarin, Spaceship Earth, Figment.

FigmentChick - did you post your park schedule? I know we're there at the same time. Wondering if we overlap. Basically we're in Epcot Oct 21-23 and MNSSHP on the 23rd.

PLEASE - send pixie dust my way.....I received a phone call from FIL this morning.

Back story - My out laws , I mean in-laws, are CRAZY!!!!! They LOVE drama and try to make it when eve possible. When we made the decision to go to Disney back in April they decided to join us. Then my FIL was scheduled for hip replacement surgery and we told them we didn't think it would be a good idea for them to try to go to Disney 8 weeks after surgery...YAY!!! :cool1:WIN FOR ME!!! They decided not to go.

This morning, my FIL called and said that he was doing SOOOOO WELL that they may go ahead and go with us. WHAT :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I got him in touch with my TA and called her and said PLEASE don't put them at the same place we are.

PLEASE send pixie dust my way that they DO NOT GO!!!!! It would NOT be a vacation if they were to go with us.

See, I would just tell them there's no more room at Disney. :lmao: I'll send some pixie dust your way, though. I know how challenging in-laws can be!! :wizard:

Yep - Wally World is Closed - oh wait, I mean Walt Disney World is closed!:lmao:

Not going to multi quote, hope I didn't forget something

Ha-zah!! on the wedding!! I love weddings, drinks all around!!

I would offer again to pay the full towing fee, if she doesn't take it, insist on half (yeah, I know I can't spell).

Super excited (and a bit jealous) of those leaving now!! I have 14 days to go. The only thing I've done with regards to packing is a practice pack with the kids cloths to make sure we had enough luggage. I also looking into a shuttle service for our local airport, there isn't one. We could hire a town car/limo service but it's $150-200 one way. The most parking will cost us is $120.

Has anyone done the online check in for airlines? travelocity says I can do it the day before the flight leaves and not have to check in. But, isn't that where you check your luggage? I'll ask DH when he gets home.

I've got a couple things to look foward to that will help me be distracted from our WDW. DS3 is going on his first ever field trip on the 6th to a pumpkin patch. Our local corn maze/pumpkin patch/entertainment spot is opening on Saturday and the Pumpkin Fair (I think) is this weekend.

Alright, DH just got home and said he was going to "handle it". He is going to call them after we eat, so I will update after that happens.

This has thrown me into a PANIC :scared1: - as we do not get along well.

Example: I explained to him this morning that we wouldn't be able to eat together as we would be on different dining plans (we are staying value, they want Deluxe) and that has turned into "she said she doesn't want us to go"
FIL said he was going to get a wheel chair b\c of recent hip surgery, I said "your arms will get a lot of strength in Disney, shouldn't you get the electric one instead"...that turned into "she said she wouldn't push my wheel chair and wife can't push me all by herself all day"

UGGG.....I HATE DRAMA!!!!!

a ten gallon bag is on it's way.

Yeah - THAT phone call didn't help. DH tried to tell them we already had all of our plans made and couldn't change anything....response was " we will just follow you, we can eat anywhere"

I know people talk about having bad in-laws, but you just don't know....these people have done everything they could for 22 years to make my life MISERABLE. They THRIVE on drama of any kind.

Examples: They ask who would get my kids if something happened to me and DH and we told them MY parents....response - my parent's were not Christian enough???? They then asked if they could at least have my daughter (my son is from 1st husband) WHO DOES THAT???
They went to a funeral of a friend of DH's and "witnessed" to a 22 year old and told her she was headed for hell b\c her first response to the "who is the most important person in your life" question wasn't jesus (she said her family) and that girl past away in a terrible accident a year later - DH's friend called and said "please keep your parent's away from the funeral, no one wants them there"
When DH was in the hospital last year they called and asked me how things were going, I explained that he was about to start new med and he was scared b\c it could cause a bad reaction....this turned into a phone call to DH 10 minutes later saying that I told them he was on life support.

They don't listen and they make stuff up.

DRAMA!!!!!!
