We leave for the World in 44 days

Staying at CBR for the First time and we just upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Plan ( we are going alone/ without the kids so we are looking forward to sitting down and having a few good meals!) The last time we were on the DLXE plan was on our Honeymoon 14 yrs ago!we usually dont do any dining plan when we have the kids. We eat bfast at the hotel in the am(groceries) and make it work.

We leave in 44 days too! But we are taking the kids...

We keep trying to plan an adults only trip, but I end up feeling guilty...

We dont feel guilty at all.....I think as Adults we NEED time Away from our own kids(cant say away from kids cause disney wouldnt be the place for that lol)


its nice for hubby and I to go away ALONE, for us time ..it just so happens we are going to Disney...

OH and we all just went together at the end of FEB for 2 weeks to FL with kids on the Disney Cruise for 7 days and with my inlaws the rest...So they are fine! lol They actually think we are going to MEXICO

lmc - thank you for the ruling! I had the to-do list done mentally, but I was just too exhausted to fit in a couple of things. I didn't make it to Home Depot for the Alien Green mickey heads (but fret not, I will get there!) and I never made it to the mall to get a new pair of jeans.

Septemberfest was great! Quinn held his ears when my fire department went by (the were using their sirens whereas Pennsville - the wusses - were not!), but at least he appreciated Mommy's shiny red Liberty One fire truck. And he did really well with the fireworks. This was kind of a test, because we've never been as close to them as we were the other night (we usually watch them from the house, but this year we went to the park). He did great! Oohing and Aahing and just enjoying them!

Fellow DISers, I have a question from our friends that are meeting us in The World. They are looking for fishing. I know they have places at some of the resorts for kids to fish, but friend's DH is looking for something a little bit more serious. Anyone know of anything on property?

Last March 2010 My BFF & I booked one of the Bass Pro Fishing Excursions for our DH's while we were there. Well it turned out AWFUL. My BFF's DH is an avid fisherman so we felt the best experience for them was to choose the bass boat over the pontoon boat. Well I thoguht the CM I dealt with booking & arranging the trip was fantastic EXCEPT when the DH's arrived they were informed that when using the bass boat no live bait could be used. WHATTT???? It's a bass boat!! And as they we getting ready to head out w/ their guide another guide and his group were coming in and he informed their guide that only they only had luck with the live bait. But their guide decided they would just work witht the fake. To make a long story short the guide was the ONLY one to catch anything and according to our DH's it was much to get excited about. So it was a total bummer. I felt like they the guide knew before heading out that they were up against. I mean $200 and come back with zip - come 'on. Yeah - you certainly can't gurantee but keep in mind my BFF's DH fishes regularly in tournaments across our state. He's no dummie and had we known that live bait was not an option for the bass boat we would've chosen the pontoon.

Also, I went back to all the email exchanges as well as to the website and had I have known of that or had it been disclosed I wouldn't have felt so ripped off. I wrote a letter to Guest Services but never heard anything. My goal was not for a return on money but for maybe a little more disclosure. So good luck. I want to also say that we know of several other people that have participated in the same excursions and have done well. But they all we using the pontoon.

Thanks for all of that info! It does say on the website now that the live bait is only available on the pontoon. Wonder why?

I will pass on your experience to them and let them decide if they want to risk it. He can go to a 1:30 pm excursion for a single guest for $170 and if they still have the excursion coupons in the packet, it might not be such an expense.

I didn't! I've had the big suitcase in my room for over a week now. So far, it has our swimsuits in it, some tank tops for me that I will not be wearing between then and now, and shirt that I bought for the kiddies to where (the older two have a "For Sale...my annoying little brother" and DSalmost3 says "little brother" ...cheesy, I know, but cute). I also have DS2.9's jammies (all the kids get brand new jammies on our arrival day) and a couple of t-shirts I had bought awhile back and stashed. The pins and autograph books and stuff is set aside in a bag, but I won't pack that until I pack the carry-on bag. I do not let that stuff out of my sight.

Have a great afternoon....I have to go have fun with financial statements.

I have been pondering a PTR since I can't seem to find anything else to plan. I'm known for starting things I don't finish, so I'm not sure I should start it.

33 days! My TA said one of my Mickey Mail items is in and the other should be any day. We are planning on meeting at Starbuck's to do the ceremonial transfer of the treasure.

Some of my friends from school are getting together for an unofficial reunion and I got a room in the city for it and I'll be BUMMING if this cough hangs around so that I can't enjoy the weekend and my room by myself!! With all the coughing I've repinched my sciatic nerve and I am NOT a happy camper!!

Alright - we are 25 days. I went through all the Mouse world stuff today and started to organize a little. I have a few clothing things packed - disney shirts, bathing suits, hats but that is about it.
I also downloaded a few Disney songs onto my phone, and I have been jamming while cleaning this afternoon.

Now if that Mouse mail would just show up !!!!!

I think I am most excited about the Wishes Party... shhhhhhhh - DD doesn't know about that part.

I had a really bad cough about a month ago....I ended up on antibiotics because I am susceptible to pneumonia. Thanks goodness it went away, but it hurt every time I coughed. Feel better soon!

DH and DS10 will be at that game. Did I mentioned DH has season tickets? And he loooooves Penn State. Yes, he will be the fool in navy blue in a sea of maroon (my son will be wearing maroon). UGH....gotta love husbands. Anyway, I should be dropping him off, but I'm not sure yet. You can't miss my car.....it's a white mommy mobile with blue vinyl Disney stick figures on the back window.
