Fellow DISers, I have a question from our friends that are meeting us in The World. They are looking for fishing. I know they have places at some of the resorts for kids to fish, but friend's DH is looking for something a little bit more serious. Anyone know of anything on property?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

We are actually going to boma for breakfest on our first full day in disney!! Im soo excited to go!!! Awwww I cant wait!!

Boma has a great breakfast. You're going to LOVE it! Make sure you get and wear the Just Got Married pins!!! You'll get a lot of special treats while you're there! ;)

ESPN apparently does an excursion you might want to look into. I haven't done it, but it looks like a decent trip. http://espnwwos.disney.go.com/events/more/fishing-excursions/

I realized after I posted this they might not do it anymore. :( - The website is confusing though, so if you go to Recreation under the Things to Do section of the Disney website you'll find Fishing there. There is a number to call for excursions and they can give you more info. HTH!

OMG. So super excited. Just bought ALL of our tickets for the trip. 4 days of park tickets, 1 day US, and MNSSHP....

I guess this vacation is real now. Oh man.... :goodvibes

I don't post on here often, but I do read this thread daily. I have a question for anyone who has been in October before. We are going the 1st week in October. I am wondering what the weather will be like. I am trying to decided what I need to pack. I am wondering if it is like New Orleans weather. During the fall, once it gets dark outside it cools off alot. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Hello, Jessica! The first week of October can still be fairly warm, but the temps do cool off when the sun goes down; just not all that much and fast. I bring a hoodie for me and the kids at night. If I remember correctly, it can also be really humid during the day (which is why my hair will be braided every day!).

We will be at Pop
Oct. 6- 15
Will add you to the first post when I get all the info from everyone else! Welcome!!!!

What day are you staying until? (so I can add you to the first post) I spent my honeymoon in WDW as well, but we stayed at a Holiday Inn off property because I got an employee rate. Welcome and pull up some popcorn (we tend to drift off topic just a bit here! :lmao:).

O.M.G I just logged on to Disney website and saw that we are at 44 days. WOOHOO. For some reason, I thought I was at 54 days. I obviously don't know my way around a calender :)

That is so much fun to see!!! We are staying at BWV 10/23 - 10/29

And I just received a $25.00 Disney gift card! And.....I am receiving a check for $150.00 for selling my old blackberry torch online. (who knew you could sell old cell phones online)
This will go for tips etc. This vacation will be soooooooooooooooooooo stress free. I love having meals paid for in advance!!!

Now, I just need some bonus cash to buy new luggage ;)
He-ey.....I wanna get paid to sell my old cell phone.[/whine] Seriously, though....how did you cell it? That's awesome! And I should be getting a $25 gift car soon, too....I took a "phone tour" of DVC. And now hubby is actually thinking of buying in!!!! :scared1: I wsa shocked, to say the least. But it's exciting.

Awesome!!!! I wish I could go to MNSSHP, but it's just not in the cards this time.

I'll add the new info to the first post as soon as I can....I'll be running around quite a bit today. It is Septemberfest in Pennsville today (the town where I am from). It's a big "to-do" (are those quotation marks allowed, lmc....I need a ruling). We have a parade in the morning at 11am. My daughter's dance troupe is in it, so I have to do her hair and make sure she is presentable before we drop her off. Then we're heading over to DE to pick up my new pair of glasses and do some errands (like buy food at BJs). Then back to the park in the late afternoon for dinner, socializing (it's a necessary evil) and fireworks. Sometime today I also have to fit in going to the nail salon (preferrably sooner than later) because I broke a nail this morning fishing the TV remote out of the couch. So....busy, busy, busy today.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks! That pointed me in the right direction. :thumbsup2. I had to go googling to find prices, but it looks like he will have a couple of choices.

Figment - I :lmao: on your ruling request! Sounds like you have a busy day.

We are at 35 days!:banana::banana:

I am sitting down with DF to go over our plans and make sure we get our girls together as much as possible. She has never been, so my vast expertise (I've been three whole times in the last 18 yeaars:rolleyes1) will be put to the test as I help her figure out what to do. :lmao: lucky for her, I've been here with you all for the summer and I may be slightly obsessive about this trip!

She is getting a very late start on planning because they just decided to go. She just finished up a final round of chemotherapy and is cancer free. She had tumors removed and they were sure they got it all but had her do another round to be safe. It was rough for her and she wanted to do something for her DD who had sent the summer watching mom be sick.

Our Mickey Mail came in today, too:cool1: We got our itinerary and ME tags (have been holding onto our MNSSHP tix for over a month). All I have left to do is get the costumes. The Halloween store opened this weekend, but I'll have to buy one costume at a time. I have a 20%off one item coupon and can only use one per transaction. So the plan is to print out one a day and buy one costume a day till everything needed is got.

Hmmm, that's a tricky one because you're using it both as a literal to-do list and as a figurative to-do list, since you probably don't have a list. I'll go with it being acceptable since it's a sketchy area. And because I like you. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

6 weeks from today! I'm happy and jealous of all you getting Mickey mail! I won't get mine for another few weeks and I have to wait for my TA to call to go get it. :rolleyes1 Even so, 6 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We leave for the World in 44 days :thumbsup2:cheer2:

Staying at CBR for the First time and we just upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Plan ( we are going alone/ without the kids so we are looking forward to sitting down and having a few good meals!) The last time we were on the DLXE plan was on our Honeymoon 14 yrs ago!we usually dont do any dining plan when we have the kids. We eat bfast at the hotel in the am(groceries) and make it work.

I'm getting ready to add the QSDP to my DVC reservation. I'm nervous, but like the idea of having the meals pre-paid, and figure for our first trip I don't want to be tied down to reservations!

I also can't wait to use all of those snack credits at F&W!! lol

I think it's a great idea! If you're planning on eating mostly counter service anyway, this will make it easy for you! :thumbsup2
