My weekend was really good. Especially the part where I paid off my Disney trip!
Good job! Of course, I it's been a Toy Story night and I keep wanting to say "Way to go, Idaho!"

My weekend was really good. Especially the part where I paid off my Disney trip!
My trip is 40 days out. Has anyone gotten their yellow Magical Express tags yet? I thought they usually send them way ahead of the other packet with the luggage tags.Come to think of it, we booked over a month ago and then revised our reservation the day free dining came out and we never received the paper invoice they usually send in addition to the email confirmations. Hope the mailman didn't put it in someone else's mailbox as he sometimes does. Don't want the neighbors knowing when we'll be away and where we are going.
Just added one Character meal to the Plan, Crystal Palace for our first Disney lunch together! We arrive at MCO at 10:40, hopefully we can get to the Poly, then to MK in time for 1:10 at CP. Am I cutting that too close?
Ticker Check! 43 days to go!

Good morning all! 55 days here!I'm so done with this summer. Irene really has tipped it over the edge. We didn't get any damage here outside of Philly, but the tornado warnings Saturday night were enough for me.
Could've been so much worse.
We're dealing with another kind of hurricane here - hurricane no-more-binky!DD turned 3 Saturday and the binky fairy came last night and it was a tough night for her. She had only been using it for sleep at this point, but she cried for an hour and a half on and off until she finally just passed out. Even the gifts the binky fairy brought only helped for a short period of time. I felt awful.
If given the chance to do it again, I would have taken them away at 1. I am working from home today and have kept her home to see how she does with nap. Don't know if that was a smart thing or not, but it's done, so we'll see. I feel like we all need some rest around here from the weekend.
Hope all is well with everyone! Have a great day!
The hardest part is not being able to really talk about it with people, I think my friends are so tired of hearing me go on and on about WDW. Thank goodness for the DISbecause I can always come here and celebrate with you guys!!!!
I just got my packet of resort info a couple of days ago, no luggage tags or ME info yet though. I think they usually wait until around the 30 day mark to send that.![]()
Ahhhh!!.....Love the POLY!!!I am sooooooooooo excited for our October trip!!!!!!![]()
Only 58 days left to wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Staying 6 nights at the Poly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Luckily my DH and 3 DS love to talk about our upcoming Disney trip every single day! But other that that, I supplement each day with the DIS!The hardest part is not being able to really talk about it with people, I think my friends are so tired of hearing me go on and on about WDW. For our 6 counter services I'm thinking:
Flame Tree BBQ
Tortuga Tavern
Sunshine Seasons
Pizza Planet
Earl of Sandwich
Columbia Harbor House

There's been times when we don't even get to the hotel til 3. That's taking Disney transportation.
I know how hard that is!!! I hope she adjusts quickly
We actually potty trained our oldest DS at WDW when he was 3. We told him we forgot to pack diapers and that Mickey would be really sad if he wet his pants at Disney World. He had this phobia about sitting on the potty, but for some reason sitting on Mickey's potty did the trick! LOL![]()
Oh, I was thinking it was the other way around. That the ME tags come at 40days out and the other packet comes once you are in the 30 day window.
OMG more power to you!!!I don't think this would work for DD because she has a sort of "whatever" attitude about that kind of stuff. Plus she still doesn't "feel" having to go, you know? But she's always been the kind of child that once she gets it, she just gets it, so I'm not worried. I have a feeling she'll be potty trained before we're in Disney. Probably within the month of September, if I'd have to bet on it!
Just had another lovely sleeping event. Nap time was rough. She's crying to the point of not even knowing why she's crying now, you know? I asked her what I could do to help and she said she doesn't know. She keeps saying a snack but we don't do snacks upstairs, so I finally asked if maybe another stuffed animal or toy especially for sleeping would help. I said we could go to the mall tonight and pick someone out and started mentioning what she could get. She picked Woody and Jesse. I don't know if it's going to help, but it's worth a try. If she picks it out especially for bed time, then maybe it'll work better than the binky fairy swooping in, taking the binky and leaving a present.Otherwise we just ride out the crying fits until she gets over them.
These are the sad times of being a Mommy.
I get to join the Paid-In-Full Club!! Paid off our trip this morning! Only 46 days until we leave!! I also requested the 80's or 90's buildings at POP. DH and I grew up in that time, so I thought it would be fun to show DS2 things from our childhood!
Hiya my Wisconsin neighborEveyone, I started my PTR. Come and visit!:http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2783027
I am in the 40's now as far as days go![]()
I had Tortuga Tavern on my list too - but I think I heard that it's only open seasonally - which is not too often - and probably not October?
Good luck with breaking the Binky habit!
My twin boys are almost 10 now, but I can remember those binky days
But at least you can take away the binky. One of my close friends is currently trying to break her DDs thumb-sucking habit right now.![]()
This is my first time with ME and I haven't taken a AAA booked Disney trip in 5 years so I'm on pins and needles waiting for the packet from AAA and ME. I thought I had to call about ME? Do I not need to do that? I feel like calling and harrassing the TA every day but I've resisited. I did call her and ask about our seats on the plane. When she booked them the flight showed a 3/2 seat pattern. Now it shows 3/3 and there are empty seats between two filled seats. She said she would take care of it and now the seats we had booked are empty but seats across the aisle filled up. Fighting calling her again.![]()
Ahhh, just found the itinerary link on AirTran's website and now see that we take up four seats in a row. One of us will have to sit in the aisle across. We did that on the way down last time. So proud of myself for figuring it out without calling and bothering the TA.So seriously, will ME just come on it's own?
My DD had just turned three when we went to WDW the first time and was not potty trained. I made the conscious decision to not push the issue beforehand since I would rather change pull-ups than clean up messes that might happen in lines. The girl is strong willed and won't do anything until she's ready. So when summer came I told her she couldn't sign up for pre-school until she was potty trained. I swear to you, she never once peed in her pants after I made that statement. It was done.
I'm so glad my kids didn't take pacifiers. I don't envy you. You sound like you're doing the best you can though. I'm sure it will be over soon and 20 years from now you won't notice any lasting damage.![]()
