Hey you know what they say in Texas.. "Everything's bigger in Texas" The bigger the party the better.. I'll make the espresso coffees you all bring the croissants! I will try online first, and whatever I have an issue with I'll phone it in. Best of luck to all of us with our ADRs.

I am still trying to find a couple of people to share an Illuminations cruise with. Anyone traveling 10/25-10/29 that is interested please let me know. I believe it would be $40 per person with tip included.

Catira, we will be in the World 10/22 - 10/29 and would consider a cruise with you and your GF's, it's only DBF and I so another 4 or 5 could still fit (can't remember if I saw your party was 3 or 4). Is it the Illumination for sure that you are considering? I thought I saw you post about wishes too, but could be consfusing you with another DISer? I would be down for either one and I don't think DBF would have a preference either. I haven't started planning any of our specific days yet, the only thing I know is we probably want to try to hit 2 MNSSHP's, but there are 4 dates during the time so we are still pretty flexible with dates (well, except the 29th since we leave that day). PM me if your interested in working something out; ideally I would hope a few more people could join us to save some $$'s!

Wow, there is a group of us going at the same time. I just finished looking over our plans for that week. Based on the calendar and posted October hours we have made our plans. We don't have many ADRs to make but still got wake up early on 4/25

Minor request ... I'm listed on the thread under Wilderness Lodge, but I'm actually staying at Ft Wilderness for Oct 15-22 doing the RV thing.

If anybody happens upon the 100-300 loop during those dates I'll hopefully have a green mickey head marking the campsite ... you'll know if I'm around as I'll probably be lounging outside with a beer.

You know I was thinking that since FD didn't come out I may have a better shot. I mean I'm sure people make reservations regardless if they have the dinning plan or not but my thought it MORE people will book TS and SC ADR's if FREE dinning is offered because they will all want to get their money's worth. So maybe I'll get lucky and an FD offer will come out right after I get my ADR's

But if it comes out before the 180+10 gets here my ADRs may be harder to get so I'm still hoping for it but not until after April 18.

Too Funny...I have been worried too about FD coming out on April 15 and it making harder for me to get my ADRs on the 22nd.

I think you guys definitely have a valid concern, but if last year is any indication, the FD promotion was not released until late April. Even then, it was only for August and Sept. October FD did not come out until July:

I'm so depressed right now. Our October trip isn't looking all that promising. I'm a family child care provider and I found out I'll be losing 2 kids for next year which is a good chunk of my income. Their moms are teachers and didn't survive the budget cuts. As of June, they are both unemployed which trickles down to effect my family's income.

I'm not losing hope though. We may have to push our trip back a bit but we WILL be heading to Disney again!

Aww that stinks! For you and for the teachers who are out of a job. BUT, being a teacher myself, I know that there's still a possibility they will get their jobs back. I got a notice around this time last year that I would not be rehired too but then, thankfully, we were all hired back in June.

Sorry to read of the bad news. We had to cancel our trip last November due to our boiler biteing the dust and I am so afraid something is going to happen to this trip too.
If you do have to cancel re-book as soon as you can, I re-booked on the day we were suppose to leave for Disney and it surely helped me get over having to cancel our November trip.

We had to cancel our trip last year too. We had wanted to make sure we have cash for the trip (not to just slap the whole thing on a credit card) and we just kept getting slammed with car repairs etc, so we ended up canceling. That's why I'm even more excited about this trip this year!! I hope you are able to fill the slots up and not feel the pay of losing your income.

I think we may have discussed this earlier on the thread, I may be interested in joining the cruise. It will be myself and my best friend who will be celebrating her 40th birthday- Disney style. Do you have any dates in mind for the illiuminations cruise. We will be down there 10/26- 10/30 and we are tentatively planning on being in Epcot on the 28th which is a Friday. Not sure if that will work for all of you but just wanted to put it out there and see. Also, we have never done this either so not sure how the timing and all works for this.

There are those of us that are already planning ADR's & a FD promotion won't have any impact on that. Then there are those people that may be enticed to book a trip if FD is released, but how organized are these folks going to be? Maybe I'm just naive, but I'm thinking that if someone books with FD they won't necessarily be all over the 180 day mark and have all their stuff planned out so I don't see it having a HUGE impact. It's different if a FD promotion would have been released a month or so prior to the 180 day mark....then those folks have plenty of time to organize & plan.

Fingers crossed that a bunch of disorganized newbs get the first round of FD.

I just got home from probably one of my most hectic days in a long time! I know OT, but need to vent just a little.

I'm so irritated! We were hit by a car that ran a stop sign last weekend & my car was totaled. I've been fighting with the insurance company day and night ever since and have had to completely ignore my ADR planning. Now I'm only like 4 days away from my ADR date & have to scrabble to figure out what we're going to do... which is hard because I have to consult with my parents & with my brother who lives in Canada so we do it all over Facebook.

Just... BLAH!! I'd been looking forward to our 180 day for months & now I completely unprepared.

so sorry to hear about the accident, i hope you get it sorted out soon- is everyone okay? i know what a hassle it is to deal with after the fact.

This exactly. I have a friend who is planning a Sept. Disney trip and I asked about her ADR at her 180 days and she looked at me like I had two heads! lol I think the majority of people that book with FD book, then in a month or two think about their ADR. For me anyone who books fr my days can't do ADR yet either, so who knows! lol

lol- i have friends who have gone and ask me like a week before their trip for tips....i always ask if they made dining reservations and almost always get a no......

The same thing happened to me for the CPP!! It was the day my DS was having surgery, so I thought I'd do it to pass the time and take my mind off the waiting and ALL I could get was busy signal!!! I got what I wanted later on anyways, but it was still doubly frustrating!

oh i remember that! talk about stressful ADR planning!

woo hoo- welcome! The Swan is very nice- so convenient to Epcot! I love the WL and have always wanted to try the Poly. We are staying at BLT, our home away from home. Poly might be good since it is your honeymoon- more romantic atmosphere!
