i am in TX too- where are you? I'll be up at 4:30am too, unfortunately, my day is next sunday, so much for sleeping in!
hey, a virtual party is fun......i remember last year when trying to book my ADRs, i was up early to try and get Le Cellier for the Candlelight processional package, which sells out fast. i was dialing right away, got through once before it opened, got the message to call back, then got a busy signal for the next 90 minutes on a landline and cell. fortunately, i was here on the DIS, posting on a thread we had going for December folks---everyone was posting what they got and if they were on hold or getting busy signals too- at least i wasnt' alone. an online friend, who just happened to be local (Fort worth) saw me post i was not getting through and she offfered to book for me instead, saying she was on hold now. we chatted on FB, gave her my info and she booked it for me, even using her own CC to hold it for us. talk about nice- that is why I LOVE the DIS......a virtual ADR booking party saved me and got me the ressie i needed!

I would rather wake up early on a Sunday.. as soon as my adrs are ready I could go back to bed. But 4/25 is on a Monday I live in South Texas.

I booked us at the Poly 10/14 - 10/20 and am sooo excited! This all will lead up to our first cruise ever...on the Dream!

I haven't stayed at the Poly since I was 12 years old many moons ago, and my husband has never stayed there.

Now I have just about 9 days to get my ADRs figured out before I can book them. Wish me luck!

TALK ABOUT STRESS!!!

Ok, so today is my big day to make ADRs. SO, I walk into work at 5:20 (I open the YMCA) and the computers are DOWN!!! WHAT???? OH NOOOOO!!! They wouldn't turn on....NOTHING. Just black screens! AGGHHH!!! So, I go to the back offices, and luckily they are on.

Well, I get everything up and running, and ready to search for my biggie... CRT for breakfast on 10/6/11 - DD's 5th bday... and IT WON"T WORK!!!!! It kept kicking me out. So, I was using Internet Explorer, and I wasn't sure if that was the problem or not. So, I then decided to download Firefox. I thought, I will do anything and everything to try to get this to work!!! LOL.

SO, I get my day, and time, and place all that I want for CRT, get the credit card info entered... and BOOM, error page. OH MY GOSH!!! I was like, ok...did it go...did it not?? WHAT THE HECK DO I DO????

So, I decided to go on and try for Chef Mickey's on Friday. I debated back and forth between the 2 for a long time, had my heart set on Tusker House, and then a girlfriend had me convinced to go on and do Chef Mickey's. She said that my DD would love it... and that is all that really matters. I agree!! SO, I go on, and get everything entered - date, time, place, etc...and WHOOOO HOOOOO, it works!!! It gave me my confirmation number!!!
And, sends me an email.
Still nothing from CRT, so I figured it must not have worked.

So, back to square one for CRT. I go back, put all the info in again... and guess what????


WOOO HOOOOO it worked!!!!!!!
Confirmation - CHECK!
Email - CHECK!

YAYYYYY!!!!


Only thing, my dining page is still only showing CHef Mickey's ressie on there - which I think will change. I searched "missing reservations" with my confirmation # and it says that it is having difficulty displaying the reservations right now.


SOOOO....

Whoever is updating the dining reservations on pg 30 - you can now add me!!!!

What a crazy morning you've had!
I know that online Dining Reservation system can be so "tempermental".

Chef Mickeys has been a family favorite for us - it's such a "Disneyfied Experience"

Just catching up with all the posts!

I get to make my ADR's on April 23rd. I need to sit down with DH and decide when and where we are going. He is super picky, so nothing to fancy for us.

Is the boat tour you all are talking about for Wishes or Illuminations? I'm seeing both shows being talked about so am not complete clear?

I was able to get in a fridge swap yesterday, so check that off my list of stuff to have to pay for.

yeah, i guess going back to bed is better! I am in Dallas, but have family in Houston/Galveston and Corpus- we love Port A! I met my DH in Padre (yep, spring break, imagine that-----back in 93, lol!)

wow, sounds like an amazing time! so jealous- the DREAM will be awesome!!! we will be there at the same time as you- across the way at BLT. We are eating two meals at the Poly though!

BAYSMOM- so glad you finally got your ressies!!!! a little scary at first, but glad it worked out! I still laugh sometimes at myself- how i stress myself out- all the planning we do and then i think about the folks that don't know what an ADR is, have no clue they should make reservations and show up in the summer and then can't eat anywhere- they show up thinking 'hey, why don't we eat in the castle today'........ so glad we know better, but funny thinking about the extremes-- people that have no clue and then those of us in the know, computer ready, page up, fingers ready to dial at the exact time ADRs open before the sun comes up and freaking out when we don't get the exact time we want!

okay, now i will go back to stressing and hoping i get all my ADRs!!!! i am worried about just a couple:
CRT for sat , although we are flexible on the time for dinner
O'hana for tues- really want 5pm since we are doing MNSSHP that night!
then two breakfasts we want BEFORE the parks open at 8am- CP and Donald's Safari breakfast- i hope we can get them early!!! only 10 more days to wait and make ADRs!!

Silly question about ADR's. I get to make mine of 4/25 a Monday (YUCK) I am usually commuting to work from 7am to 8am. I plan to get up, get ready and be ready for work by 6am so I can get on and make my ressies from 6-7 and then leave for work. My questions are -

1) I've heard Oct. is not traditionally an extra busy time so if I didn't get on at 6am and managed to get on by 8 will things be booked already? I plan to do them in order of importance (i.e CRT first, Akerhaus next, CP, chef mickey, and on) do you think they will book up that quickly that I may not get the ones on the back end for the dates times I want?

2) I want to make ressie for BBB can I do that on 4/25 as well? Can I do it online or do I have to call?

3) when can you buy tickets for MNSSHP?

Hope these questions don't seem silly. I never would have known to do this had I not found these boards. I have my plan of what we want to get and specific times and I'm really hoping I can get it all (they are a little flexible) and hoping that with the time of year we are going and the fact that I plan to do it the second it opens I have a good shot. i am interested in the answer to the first one. so far, it seems folks that can book now are getting what they want for October. So i am hoping that continues!

on your third question- MNSSHP tickets are not available yet. WDW has not yet officially announced the dates. Usually it is in May that they announce and the tickets go on sale, so just stay tuned.

Is your CRT date early in your trip or later? I'm asking because remember, people who are eating there on the same day may have been able to make an ADR already if their check-in day is before yours....does that make sense? In other words, you have a better chance at getting the most popular ADRs you want that are later in your trip. That said, I think you'll be okay but if it was me, I wouldn't wait until 8am! I'm just a nut though!

According to the WDW site you need to call to make reservations.

I think you can start booking at your 180, but don't know for sure. It might be worth it to just call and ask when is the earliest you can do your ressie there/

Can i ask advice about my schedual for which parks which days?

Our Must do things are: MNSSHP and a Yes class for homeschool. Epcot is our favorite park then MK then AK. We are totally skipping DHS. One day is for Universal for WWOHP. If you see a better plan lay out please let me know.

I have 3 plans laid out
Plan 1 is probably the worst crowd wise:
Mon 10/11 AK am (emh) MK MNSSHP evening
Tues 10/12 Epcot for Yes classes (pm emh)
Wed 10/13 MK Wishes and Parade night
Thurs 10/14 Universal for WWOHP
Fri 10/14 Leave first thing in am

Plan 2
Sun 10/9 Arrive hit DTD or pool. Bed early
Mon 10/11 Epcot for Yes classes
Tues 10/12 AK am MK MNSSHP evening

No. I paid cash to the boat captain that night just before the cruise.

Thanks Nikki.. I called disney and was told I will need to give my credit card info and I can cancel 3 days prior to cruise. This way, if I can't find enough people for the cruise I can cancel without penalty.

Oh sorry! I didn't remember that they took the CC info but they do not charge it! I guess it's only in case you don't show up without canceling.

Wednesday 10/12 -- Animal Kingdom in the a.m., Magic Kingdom in the p.m. for Wishes (hopefully Dessert Party)
Thursday 10/13 -- Hollywood Studios
Friday 10/14 -- Magic Kingdom in the a.m.; leave for airport @ 2 p.m.

I'm so irritated! We were hit by a car that ran a stop sign last weekend & my car was totaled. I've been fighting with the insurance company day and night ever since and have had to completely ignore my ADR planning. Now I'm only like 4 days away from my ADR date & have to scrabble to figure out what we're going to do... which is hard because I have to consult with my parents & with my brother who lives in Canada so we do it all over Facebook.

Just... BLAH!! I'd been looking forward to our 180 day for months & now I completely unprepared.

Call a Lawyer! Even if you are dealing with your own insurance company. I was in an accident a few years ago with an uninsured motorist and MY insurance company was being a jerk. they wanted to settle my medical 1 day after i was released from the hospital befor i even had a follow up with my prmary care doctor. I talked to a lawyer and let her handle them while i dealt with doctors visits and physical therapy. Even after the Lawyer got her cut I had more then the insurance company orginally offered me.
