Hi a few questions,

1) When do MNSSHP tickets go on sale? can you get them online or will I have to call? Do you suggest buying them now or is it safe to buy closer to the date (planning for 10/25)?

I can help with this one! lol I've heard the tickets don't go online until May sometime. I've also heard it's best (if you know when you want to go) to get the tickets as early as you can, though it's rare they sell out for a day, I've heard it does happen occasionally. I'm pretty sure you can buy them online or calling, but since I've never bought them myself I'm not 100%. I know I'm buying my tickets the first day I can.

I'm interested in the answer to your #2 too!

1) We really enjoy Whispering Canyon - although not so much for the food, but for the FUN! We have always ordered the AYCE Skillet for dinner and enjoyed it - but not sure if it would be different for lunch? It's served family-style, so you dont have to make trips to a buffet. We would probably try it out for lunch.

2) LOVE Biergarten - again, not just for the food, but for the Entertainment.
It's a buffet with LOTS of options to choose from. YUM! Do tell me more about the entertainment...please.

3) The Plaza at MK is one option for your arrival day. (at least, thats what we're doing!) Are the sandwiches there as good as EOS?

4) I think O'Hana dinner starts at 5pm. Ok.. I wanted this as an early ADR before we headed for MNSSHP at 4pm I'm still not sure what we will do on that day.

2) Fantasmic!, what is the latest dinning reservation you can usually get for this? Planning to do Mama melrose and am hoping for 5:00. Think that is possible?

I booked the F! Dining Package this morning. They gave me 2 options: HW&V at 4:40pm and Mama Melrose at 5:00pm. We decided to go with HW&V at 4:40, but as long as it's available you should be able to get Mama's at 5:00pm.

Keep in mind...for whatever reason you can't book the F!DP online right now so you will have to call the Reservation line to book. I called right at 7:00am this morning and was on hold for almost 15 minutes. However, I did get the package and the time I wanted!

2) Fantasmic!, what is the latest dinning reservation you can usually get for this? Planning to do Mama melrose and am hoping for 5:00. Think that is possible? I think I read that how late of a dinner reservation you can get depends on how late the 1st show of Fantasmic starts as it varies different times of the year.

I'd like to make a 7:00 pm reservation for 1900 Park on a night that MK will close at 7 for MNSSHP. My plan is to spend the day in DHS and head over to MK around 4:30. I'm hoping to maybe have an hour or two in MK in anticipation of the crowds being lower for MNSSHP and head over to 1900 Park at the last minute to make our reservation. Will they allow me into the park at 4:30 without a MNSSHP ticket, what if for some reason we arrived later? Will we have a problem.

Just MHO but lower crowds on MNSSHP are earlier in the day, I think the time you are planning on heading over to MK (4:30) it might be fairly busy what with the day people and people entering at 4pm for the party.TIA!! O FYI, joining touring plans tonight when I get home since I've heard such great info on here about it!!

Sorry but no idea about the time involved in getting from MK to GF on the monorail.

We had free DDP last November and I'm happy about doing QSDP again (3rd time) this trip just for the freedom factor. Honestly, we were just too stuffed with the regular dining plan!

Just DH and I this time, although DD and her new husband, DGD10 and DD's stepdaughter8 (is there an abbreviation for that?), will be arriving a few days ahead of us and we'll be spending some time with them, same resort. Then, when they leave, we'll have a couple of days just for us.

Got my fingers crossed for either free QSDP or a room discount.

Don't know for sure about the when but I'm pretty sure you can buy them online because I remember reading you had the options of printing them, paying to ship them or picking them up at will call window.

The only problems I had other than Biergarten was a couple of times I got a warning that our party may be seated at different tables. I didn't get the message if I chose a time that was off by 15-20 minutes so a few are a little off from where I really wanted them.

wow!!!! With that updated list... anyone else notice how heavy the later days in the month are...and the first part of the month, not so much?? Wonder if that is any indicator of the crowds for Oct this year?? I know this is jsut the DIS...but it seems like not as many ADRs in the beginning, and TONS near the middle towards the end of the month!!!

Is anyone going to Harry Potter world while they are visiting Disney? The BF and I are planning on going, but then that kind of defeats the purpose of the DxDP, since we won't be eating Disney food (at least for breakfast and maybe lunch).....what do you guys think?

We're doing HP too, but are having breakfast on the DP, same with dinner. Depends how we feel we'll either pay OOP for lunch or leave Universal for the day. We're getting two day passes for Universal, so we're figuring we'll spend one whole day there and then at least a half another time during the week
