For those of you attending MNSSHP.. what are your plans for the day?

Everything I've read says that MK tends to be less busy on MNSSHP days since people see the early closing time and hit other parks. Soooo, we're doing MK, taking a break in the afternoon to head back to the hotel for some R&R, and then coming back for the party! :woohoo:

My DH thinks I am crazy. I am in the kitchen with all my park hour printouts, and then a notebook where I am writing down my plans:rotfl: We will have 7 day park hoppers so I was hoping to at least do 1 park per day. Last year when we went to Mickeys' xmas party, we first went to DHS then headed over to MK at 4pm. We did most rides as walk ons.. at most 10 min waits. But I have no experience at all with MNSSHP. I am meeting up with my girlfriends this week and hopefully they'll have some ideas as to our travel plans. But, from our conversation today.. I doubt they will give me much input:laughing:

I make lots of notes on Post-its which then get transferred to a spreadsheet. :goodvibes

I keep meaning to pick up some post it notes and keep forgetting :headache:

I have a habit of writing notes as I am reading the DIS and find useful info,on this scrap of paper or that and then , well I have a mess to go through for the info to put onto my spread sheet

Haha, I made several color coded Excel Spreadsheets :) I actually have an entire Disney folder with all sorts of information and I even printed out all the menus of the restaurants we considered (for meal plan purposes). I love that I'm not the only crazy one!

Now I know I am not the only one. :cutie: I found some cute alice in wonderland note pads and post-it notes at Target:)

I have no experience with MNSSHP either! I don't know what to expect, but I do know that I'm most likely doing 2 parties, so I don't miss anything! We probably won't do a park earlier that day, most likely just have breakfast somewhere and hang out til it's party time! :rotfl:

Those sound so cute, I love Alice in Wonderland, I'll have to go to Target soon!

LOL, I do the same thing! I take notes and stuff them into a folder, and eventually type it all up and get it organized into a binder or multi pocket folder for my trip!

I have a folder/binder complete with sheet protectors to protect my printouts

I plan on printing out menus at somepoint right now I have them saved in a folder on my desktop with pics I have collected of various dishes

I had decided to skip MNSSHP but today I saw where I could fit it in ...decisions decisions.

I keep wondering if we do not do the party( its just DH and myself) will I regret it later???
The thing is DH is not a big fan of the fireworks at MK and I do have a night I plan on booking the Wishes Dessert Party or watching them from the Poly beach after dinner at 'Ohanas.

If we do the party a few rides and the parade and fireworks will be about all we do, not sure if it is worth the $ for the tickets :confused3 :headache:

I made a grid showing the day and what park we are going too, and then wrote in the hours it's open and where to eat. And I have a folder that has all sorts of information in it. My husband thinks I've lost my mind! But, it came in handy today--my sister and nephew are there now and it poured today. I was able to give them ideas of where to go and what to see in the rain.

Hi everyone! Great success this morning, all of it online at 6a.m. The system was a bit weird though, every time I tried to make a reservation, I had to log in again with my email and confirm my reservation. Nevertheless, here's what we got:

10/2 - Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast) and California Grill (dinner to see MNSSHP fireworks)
10/3 - Cat Cora's Kouzzina (breakfast), 50's Primetime Cafe (lunch), Flying Fish Cafe (dinner)
10/4 - Jiko (dinner)
10/5 - Les Chefs de France (dinner)

Hope everyone else had good luck too!

Congrats! Our 180+10 date is Easter morning, so I am hoping to keep my daughter in bed while I try to get CRT and a few other ones. Just this one day i need her to stay in bed until 7!!

For those of you attending MNSSHP.. what are your plans for the day? I am debating whether or not to attend AK in the morning, leave around lunch time and go back to resort. Second choice, go to breakfast at Kona's and then head back to resort and rest up.

I have been working on my plans all weekend, since our ADRs are coming up.

We are going to go to MNSSHP on (hopefully) 10/26. We will go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning and then go back to the hotel for a bit in the afternoon. My daughter will be 5 when we go, so I'm not sure how late she'll stay up, but something tells me the excitement will keep her going longer than I expect.

Oh is there? I don't have to do it if there is already a separate thread....

Thanks for keeping up with the ADRs. :thumbsup2

I appreciate all of you here that are helping to keep up with this thread. I have to apologize for being MIA. I have been dealing with life issues, such as health issues (not only me, but ds), dd's 8th birthday (having to get the house spotless for the inlaws, lol), and work.

:welcome: to all the newbies! :grouphug: I am working on getting the list updated. Again, welcome to all. :flower3:

I completely forgot about this section! You can add us to the list!

We'll be staying at AKV on Sept 30th-Oct 1st and then Pop from Oct 1st-Oct 6th!

We're driving overnight on the 29th, so our AKV day is just a relaxing/swimming day...NO parks! And then we'll be rested up and ready to go on the 1st!

Nikki...I'll go get our dining ressies together for you to add to the list! You're a pro at this! haha

You can add to the list too please!! :)

We're staying at POP Oct 20th to Oct. 29th.

It is just DH and I, we too are celebrating our Honeymoon (after 6 years of marriage). This will DH's first trip to Disney, though I grew up in California, so I went to Disneyland annually. I have never been to Orlando, so I am super excited. I can make my ADR's in two and a half weeks.

I am so glad to hear I am not the only one with spreadsheets and such. DH thinks I'm nuts with the planning, but I just want to get the most out of the vacation as possible.

Here's what I have scheduled for dining so far:

Oct 1st-Boma @10:50am
Oct 2nd-Le Cellier @2:50pm
Oct 3rd-Mama Melrose @5:00pm
Oct 5th-Chef Mickey's @11:20am
Oct 6th-1900 Park Fare @ 10:15am

And I need one more for the 4th. It's our AK day and we want to eat somewhere outside of the parks around 6. But my husband is being soo difficult! So I'll post when we figure that out. Suggestions welcome!

No worries...my DH also thinks I'm crazy for planning and this will be our 4th trip together as a family. You think he'd be used to it by now!

:welcome: newbies!

Everyone is on the list up to now. Please check the list to make sure your information is accurate. DS is having a bad day, so not sure if I have everything correct.

:lmao: I try!

I have not made online reservations in a long time. So, my ADR date is coming up. I live in Tx and am on Central Time Zone. So, what time can I log in online to do my adrs? I believe I read that online ressies can me made one hour prior to telephone ressies? What is the website to use? I have been worrying myself trying to plan an awesome girls trip for my 40th bday:surfweb:

You are added to the list on pg. 30! :thumbsup2 What are you are your thoughts so far for dinner than night? What about someplace in DTD, like T-Rex for the kids? Or we really enjoyed Paradiso 37 and Kouzzina on the Boardwalk. Oooh, oooh, what about 'Ohana?

You can start booking at 6am est, so 5am cst. And the website is:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining/
Also if you are staying on property have your reservation # so you can make use of the 180+10 day dining booking window. It will not allow you to book beyond your 180th day without it. Hope you get everything you want!:goodvibes
