Official October 2010 Thread!!- INCLUDE YOUR DATE/RESORT IN YOUR HEADER!!

It is soooo cold here today! i really wish i was in disney right now!!!

We're wanting to celebrate our 10th anniversary there on October 14, but may go a few weeks earlier to take advantage of the free dining. Haven't booked anything yet, so we'll see.

This will be our first October trip... if we love October as much as everyone else, then we'll be planning our 2010 trip soon!

Our 7th visit to wdw but 1st staying at the beach club. I am soooo excited but the kids don't know about it yet.

We're going Oct 9-16, and staying at Windsor Hills. Haven't booked yet, but plan to in the next week or so. I'm trying to convince DH and MIL to upgrade to a 3BR townhouse instead of a 3BR condo...

It's confirmed. We're going down for almost 2 weeks next October.

From the 7th to the 20th we'll be staying at Port Orleans-Riverside.

Just a mom and son trip this time! My son requested Deluxe Dining so I've booked it but I'm hoping Free Dining will be back so I can upgrade to Deluxe for a lot less money.

Yay! Nice to see an Oct. 2010 thread...makes it seem more real!

We just got back from Disney on Oct. 2, and have already decided to take a short-ish trip back next year. We'll probably just go for 4 or 5 nights. Not sure exactly when yet, or which resort. We'll wait to see if free dining happens again and probably book sometime in spring. I'd like to try a moderate this time (I'm a Value resort girl!), probably POFQ, but we'll see what the budget allows when the time comes to book. Just glad to be planning another trip!

Went in 2008 and 2006...love October at the World...I'm a teacher and we have a 2 day break at the end of the month here, so I hook my personal days onto it for a 6 day (including the weekend) vacation. No crowds, great weather, October rocks!

Stayed at POR and loved it, but trying to decide where to stay this time. Leaning towards a value because of DD 9 and DS 3 and then we'd probably add park hoppers with the saved $$$...BUT...we loved the relaxed atmosphere of the moderate...just not sure:confused3

Anyway, glad to see I'm not the only one planning out so far.

GO PACKERS!

My DF and I are celebrating our Honeymoon in Disney the week of Oct. 17th thru 24th. We have our trip booked and now we wait!!!! We even have all the restaurants picked out and each day is planned out. We can't wait to go to MNSSHP! We will be staying at the Poly. We stayed there last Dec. and loved it!!

Woo Hoo :cool1:!!! I FINALLY got around to making our reservation for our trip next year!! I'm really excited to go back to my favorite resort, CBR, and lounge at their awesome pool while the kiddies splash around in their pirate kiddie pool! Now to keep my mouth shut for a year :ssst:, because I want this to be a surprise to my kids!

Only 6 more days and I cna make it official and book our AKV ressie!!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

Only 12 more days until we can book our villa for MNSSHP! This will be our first October trip ever. We have already been planning costumes, etc. It's so nice to have something to look forward to!

:hmghost:pirate:
Fort Wilderness Campground October 21-26 2010!!!! Just got back from camping the weekend before Halloween! Loved It! Decorated the campsite and the golf cart! I don't think many people know about visitng the campground during a holiday to look at all of the decorations people put up! Already booked for the 21st Oct - 26th next year! Woo- Hoo already purchased a ton of Disney themed Halloween Stuff from Walgreens!

I just booked a studio at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House concierge for Oct. 2-9 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We also have a trip booked for Feb. so this will be our second stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, both Jambo House. We may have to stay one night (Oct. 2) at Kidani Village, but that is OK. We we at WDW at Pop Century this year (2009) in late September and loved the light crowds and the Food and Wine Festival, but it was hot the first couple of days. We just bought DVC so I am happy to upgrade to deluxe resorts (I need that refrigerator and the queen size bed).:rotfl:

I haven't been in october since 2000 and i dont really remember much about it. More recently we went in November and in September... refresh my memory of October crowds and weather. We'll be arriving 9/30 getting married at SBP on 10/2 and staying for the disneymoon until 10/8. is that normally a "light" crowd time of year like september and early november?

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

i have just booked for 10/16 - 10/21 at ASMFS! this will be our first time staying at a value resort but the suite will be great for us!

i always said i wouldn't have children before i could take them to disney every year...well guess what, my first son was born 3.5 weeks ago and i am taking him for his 1st bday...i know he won't remember it, but i will!
