I think I will finally stop just reading and actually post something.

We are going to WDW September 30-October 7, staying at BWI! This will be DD4's first trip to WDW! So excited! We are planning on going to MNSSHP on October 6. Have an exciting day planned, including BBB and an ADR for CRT for lunch that day!

I have never been in October, so can anyone tell me what to expect in regards to crowds? It seems based off of these boards that it may be busier than I expected when I booked...

I just booked our airfare for our October trip. From Charlotte to MCO on US Air, I booked 3 ROUNDTRIP tickets for $450.00 I can't believe it!!! Last year from TN my airfare was $1200.00. I am so excited I am bouncing off the walls. Pay off my balance saturday and then its official!!!!

We're doing the Backstage Safari at AK and we're doing MNSSHP actually ON Halloween! We went to one party back in 2007 and we all had so much fun that we wanted to go a second time, but no one spoke up and said anything until after we left! So we decided to just book the party twice for this trip. I'm debating on costumes both nights or just once.

Well, today was FINAL PAYMENT day for my WDW package!!

My dear friend arrived at WDW today for her 1st trip ever and I can't stop thinking about what she is doing right now, etc.!

Hey all,

Add me to the October list as well. I posted something on another October thread and missed this one totally! Going the 22 to 29 for DH's 60th and DGD 6th! Halloween week is always busy for us and this will be the best one yet. I, too, have a DH who will not be as excited about this trip as I and imagine-- its HIS birthday! Oh Well!

Staying at the ASMO suite and figure the four of us will have plenty of space. Haven't booked airfare yet but have everything else in place. Even received my MNSSHP tickets today! Does Airtran still take the bags to the airport when leaving the resort? I know Southwest does not. I prefer Southwest but its about $100 more right now and Air tran, though cheaper still has the bag fee plus seating fee. ( I have to do that ahead of time because if we do not sit together I will freak!

My plans are still a surprise, so I can only talk to my DISers friends!

We will be at SSR or OKW. A friend is making the reservations for us and should be emailing us in a day or two to let us know for sure.


eeyoregon, I guess I am more overwhelmed than confused. There is so much info here that I just don't know where to start. I currently have no ADRS even though I know we want to do a CB the BBB and maybe the MNSSHP. I know the park will be closing early some days for the MNSSHP and I am trying to figure out some kind of schedule (not too rigid) to help us make the most of our trip. I don't know yet if we will have park hoppers so that is holding me up a bit.


This being our first time I have been thinking about signing up for one of the sites that helps you make a plan and gives crowd info and so forth. TGM is said to have so much info that it might be too much for me. I have also looked at touringplans DOT com. Can anyone recommend either (or another) site?

We just made our final payment today as well! We are only 45 days away!!! We also purchased our MNSSHP tickets (just printed the e-tickets out), so no more changing dates, we will be going on the 9th for sure. Now we just need to get our costumes ordered. Time seems to be flying by lately.

I know! Our Southwest tickets have gone way up since I bought them (back in June). But Southwest allows you to rebook if a lower fare comes out and keep the difference as a credit to use within the year. So I always book early then watch our flight and rebook the lower fare if it comes out. Good luck finding a great fare!

We are going 17-25!!! It will be my husband, daughter and MIL's first time. I haven't been there since 1987 and am looking forward to seeing the new parks!!

Has anyone eaten at Sci Fi before? I was able to get a ressie there and I have heard both good and bad things about this one. Wasn't really sure if it would be worth it?

We are getting excited for our honeymoon in 6 weeks!! We sent a wedding invitation to Mickey and Minnie and yesterday got a special surprise in the mail! I thought that was such a nice touch and it really put us in the Disney countdown mode!
