OFFICIAL October 2009 thread - LET US KNOW YOUR PTR LINK!

DH and I will be at BCV from October 2-8 for our annual Food & Wine adults only trip. Of course, even if our DDs joined us it would be an adults only trip... ;)

We went in May '08 and my husband said that we wouldn't be back for a year and we ended up back in Nov. '08 because we got a pin code. :rotfl:

I think he is serious this time though because we are hoping to sell our house soon and move. So, I guess we'll see if we sell the house.

I think that my husband would have stroke at the tender age of 29 if I even mentioned going back to Disney in 2010. I had an excellent excuse for this years trip...

This is our oldest daughter's last year before she starts kindergarten and we will not take our kids out of school for a week long vacation. So, I told him that they would never get to go to go to Disney in Oct for the Halloween party! He simply said, I see your point, just don't tell me how mcuh it costs!!:rotfl:

Yay, one week from Saturday I get to make my ADRs I can't wait!!!

Then it becomes a 90 day countdown to Disney!!:banana::yay::yay:

We won't get to enjoy anything until the 3rd. Our flight doesn't arrive now until 930. But at least we will be in Disney.

Anyone going to the party on the 6th? Maybe some of us could meet up? or does that sound weird?

Doesn't sound weird at all! We have met lots of DISers that way over the years. This trip we aren't doing MNSSHP though. But I think you ought to try to put together a meet! :thumbsup2

Me too Me too! I think that we leaning towards spending part of the day in DTD to do lunch at T-Rex...

Any ideas on when and where? We are fairly open to anything! We were jsut planning on relaxing in the hotel that morning before heading to DTD for lunch and then we will hit a park more than likely before the party. Just let me know what you think!

This would just reinforce my hubby that I am one of those obsessed Disney people! :lmao: But it would be nice to see some faces to put with the names!

Two thoughts on this:

1. Are they offering dinner at LTT during the Party? If so, how many of you are going to eat there? Might be a good location.

2. Outside the Hall of Presidents is the Liberty Tree. It is a great location for a meet with room to get off the beaten track to talk.

hmm..good ideas...I believe that LTT will be serving dinner during the party. We were considering a CS for dinner since I have more TS planned than CS...

Maybe we could meet up outside of the Hall of Presidents? We will be in the parks starting Oct 3-10 (our planes leaves out late on the 10th we are still planning on doing MK the day we leave..)

What day would be good for any of you that want to meet up?

I have a question...hope it isn't a silly one

I know that a lot of people are concerned about the hours being released later than we all feel they should be - but is that simply due to a need for planning? What I mean is we are heading to the parks for a short weekend getaway October 1st to the 5th to celebrate our anniversary, and due to the short amount of time we have...we have pretty much already planned our days as MNSSHP on the 1st, Epcot on the 2nd, free day on the 3rd and Magic Kingdom on the 4th. Without the hours being officially released, since we have a plan in motion - we can still call as of July 1st to begin making our reservations, right?

I know - to all you Disney Vetrans this may seem like a silly question. This is actually my fifth time going in the past 10yrs - but normally DH takes care of all the dining reservations. I just want to make sure I am on the right track!
:flower3: TIA!

I am by no means an expert. But I think that some people like to wait for the hours to know how they are going to get their money's worth out of their tickets and get the most out of their days. I get park hoppers and the hours don't really matter that much to me, whereas my friend won't buy the hoppers and she's freaking out!

You may want to check for sure, but I don't think that July1 is your day out mark. I think it is July 3. I will be there Oct 2 and my ADR day is July 4. Hope that helps!

We will be there Sept. 27th-Oct.7th. I'd love to meet some disers. I have never done this so not sure how it would best be done but I am game. We are doing the party on the 6th...our first time!!!

AMMEADOR2~ I am having concerns about this ADR thing, maybe you could help? Since our dates our split between 2 months not all of the park hours are out for my trip yet. Tomorrow is the day I can officially make my ADR's but since I'm not getting the hopper option I would really like to know all the hours for my dates before making my park choices official. Should I wait til Weds. (when I hope Oct. dates will be out) or make them on Monday so I'm sure to get what I want? Thanks and hope I haven't bothered you too much. Just ignore me if I have, lol.
