OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

They haven't changed the system yet to allow people to pre-select fp's for more than one park per day. :(
You would have to use your three fp's for one park before you could book a fp for a different park. But you won't be able to do that ahead of time, only on the same day.

Thank you. That's so annoying, but oh well. I'll keep hoping for a miracle day 2 FOP FP. Fastpass day is Tuesday, cant believe it's almost here!

We do Magic Kingdom at rope drop without fastpasses. There are so many rides there that it isn't too hard to walk on many of them, especially the ones in AdventureLand. Then we go to AK and use our fastpasses there. :)

Passed our 60 day mark and got the FPs we wanted!! I'm in PST so I overslept for the 4am FP time and was super worried I wouldn't get anything, especially the new Pandora attractions. At about 9am EST they had lots of River Journey for day 2 after about 2 or 3pm and plenty of FoP all day for day 6! They also had plenty of SDMT. Hopefully this is a good sign for crowds for November trips!
Also, has anyone been in early November? What is the weather like? I've heard it can be all over the place but I'm just wondering what that means. :)

Got all the FPs we wanted today!! 2 of the 3 kids got up with me and it was really stressful at first because on the computer we kept seeing Olaf telling us we can't load the page right now! I had just updated the app on my phone and that worked perfectly! Tried 2 computers and both wouldn't let me even make changes to FP only on the phone. I must need to update MDE on the computer but I am unsure of how. So glad I thought to try the app! We wanted FOP on day 8 and there was tons of availability! We even got FEA on day 2 and I thought that would be impossible. Now if I can just get that Tusker breakfast instead of lunch and we will be set.:teeth:

I've been the past couple of years and when they say be prepared for anything, they mean be prepared for anything. Two years ago it was horribly hot and humid. Last year it was warm during the day, but cool enough for a light jacket at night. You just never know!

And anything can come out of nowhere. In 2014 a cold front moved in with no warning. We dressed for what was supposed to be a warm day and left the resort comfortable. While waiting for rope drop at the MK the temperatures quickly dropped to the 50's. By the time we had entered the park everyone was running towards the stores and buying anything and everything. People were walking around with blankets draped over themselves.

Guys I am so excited about the new holiday offerings at HS and Epcot!!!

Guess I better be Christmas ready before Thanksgiving! :D
I'm so happy to see these new holiday additions :santa:
Christmas is my favorite time of year and this year being able to stay at the BC will make it even more magical pixiedust:

JUST BOUGHT ANNUAL PASSES FOR THE FIRST TIME! :dancer:

Awesome! Are you planning any more trips soon? We got the passes for our July trip knowing we were going in November but added a May trip & are talking about squeezing one more trip before our passes expire in July. It's an addiction. Lol Our problem is we have to pay for flights which is hard to justify for short trips.

I told dh about the new holiday stuff & we will definitely check it out. I'm also excited about the ornament hunt in Epcot. I think my kids would like that & it will give us more time in the WS to checkout the story tellers.

We have January booked and plan on going Labor Day week next year. I'm also crossing my fingers for a preview of Toy Story Land :D

We got super lucky on January. Had enough Southwest points to fly down for free and cheap flights home. We have more than enough Disney Visa dollars to cover a room at POP for a few nights. We are going to swing for a few character meals, though! And my daughter doesn't have to miss any school at all for MLK weekend, so it's just too perfect.

Just completed my FP selections. As others said, I got everything I wanted at almost the exact times I wanted. The only thing that threw me was I couldn't make selections for my last day for my daughter. Then I figured out that because we are using her party ticket as our "11th" day I had to cancel those fastpasses, make ones for our last day and then reselect the party day ones.

Last week I paid off a good portion of our room and plan to have that completely paid off before we arrive. All that is left now is to pack and buy snacks. 60 days!!

I have another silly question. For those of you that use touring plans, how do you grab your reservation so fast!! Any tips? I have lost so many ADR's that I have been searching for, I am beginning to lose the fun in planning.

Hello fellow DISers. It's been over 3 years since our last family vacation to WDW :earseek:
In fact, we weren't even suppose to go this year. However, on July 8 my wife fell and broke her ankle, which required surgery. With her now being able to walk for nearly 2 months, we had to cancel our summer beach vacation. :crutches:

The silver lining to this is, we rescheduled our vacation for late November, and we are now going to WDW :cheer2:

We are staying at POR from Nov. 21-27. This is our first time doing Disney during the winter holidays, so we are so excited to see the Christmas decorations. :santa:
Can't wait to see Pandora and to go to MVMCP on the 26th. party:

It's hard, you have to be really fast and drop everything you're doing. I get the text alert and jump right onto the My Disney Experience app and book what I want. I've been lucky that every time I've gotten the alert I've been a passenger in the car. If you were at work or something it may be harder to get there fast enough.

I've used Touring Plans twice to find a reservation and both times I was able to grab the ADR. It helps to have the MDE app on your smart phone and to receive the email at a time when you are monitoring it.

But it is easy to get an ADR for most restaurants as you get closer to your trip date. People routinely make multiple ADRS and drop them as they get closer to their dates. Some of them, though, like CRT, are still hard to get, but not impossible.

Good luck. :)

Lots of ADRs are starting to pop up thanks to people booking FP. I can usually get what TP alerts me to as long as I have my phone on me or am sitting at the computer! It's a pain for sure. I only have 1 left that I want and I am trying to keep the faith.

Good luck!

I have it sent by text to me and then it also provides the link right to it. I've been about 50/50 in getting results. I'm lucky that I work an office job where I can keep my phone right next to me and still sometimes I'm not fast enough.
