***Official November 2014 thread***

I just found this thread, so I'm way late to this party...but we are going to be at the world from Nov 8-15, we are doing a split stay at SSR and GF. My hubby and I are doing our first, of hopefully many, runDisney events for the W&D half :cheer2:, our DDs are also both doing their first races too for the kids races :goodvibes

So exciting to see so many more disney fans that are going to be there at the same time :tigger:

Can't wait to read everyone's posts about their plans, I'm super excited for our early ressies at CP before park opening, I've always wanted to do this to get pics before the crowds and this is the first time we've been able to snag them!! :cool1:

You should join us on our facebook group!! There's a bunch of other runners there! You guys can compare notes! What days will you be at GF? I'm going to be there from the 12th through the 17! I'm so excited!!

Celine, I just sent you a friend request...I'd love to join your facebook group, what a great idea

We are going to be at GF for the majority of our trip, we switch stays after the race on Sunday (meant we get there on the 7th in my PP)...we are doing SSR mainly to take advantage of the race transport :drive:

That little driving dude cracks me up!!! LOL

Hello all! We're a bit late in booking for November, just booked for 18th-24th at All Star Music. We were planning on doing a fall 2015 trip, but just couldn't pass up the free dining this year, it really benefits our family!

So excited to see some Christmas decor up! :santa:

Lol!. Maybe that's what I need to do...threaten to take a couple solo trips!
I've never heard I Holy Land Experience, that sounds interesting.
I know what you mean. Im afraid to even try changing resorts because of my son's resistance to change. He is starting a new school this fall, so wish us luck. Hope your son is doing well with work.

Don't threaten, do it!!! :)

I was totally planning on visiting the HLE for the first time this year, but it looks like we'll have to pass. It doesn't seem like we can fit it into our schedule. I know they've made alot of changes recently to enhance the experience, so I'm looking forward to seeing it someday.

Oh really? I didn't know about changes. Gonna have to really try to get him to go. Although the trip is 2 days shorter than I originally was thinking so.....not sure I want to squeeze it in and spend the extra. But now I'll have to think about it.
Thanks

I just joined the thread last week and haven't had time to go back and read through everything. Not sure how much sharing has happened but....

Where are you from?

Where are you staying while at WDW?

Who are you going with?

What's your favourite ride?

What's your favourite meal or snack?

What the one new thing you are hoping to do this year at WDW?

~ From New Mexico, USA. :wave2:
~ Staying for the first time at AS Music Resort! (free dining! lol)
~ We'll be with our three children (9, 6, and 11 months) and also our in-laws to help with the children!
~ Pirates of the Caribbean for me, Star Tours for DH
~ Jiko for DH and I, we always do a dinner just the two of us there.
~ We're hoping to make this trip all about our two girls, they're the perfect age for WDW magic right now, and we're excited about sharing this time with them!! pixiedust:

Ugh! The food court refurbishment of All Star Music has been confirmed. We switched to POP just in time.

Thanks for posting this. I just tried to switch to All Star Sports, but they didn't have any availability for us. Looking back, I should have known to book at the resort that was recently refurbished. I just didn't even think about it. As it is, it is not a far walk from Music. Also, we pool hop and visit each All Star anyway, so it's not that big a deal for us. My kids will enjoy an early morning walk to another resort for breakfast!

Hey everyone! Just hopping over from a FB 11/14 planning group-- don't know why I didn't check The Dis out for it before!

We (myself, husband, 2 daughters ages 4 1/2 & almost 8, & my MIL... living in NC right now) have a trip planned for 11/9-11/15 for our 10 year anniversary... Staying in an Art of Animation Nemo Suite, & thankfully got free dining!

We have our ADR's booked but I'm still hoping & praying (& stalking Disney Dining) to score a BOG dinner on 11/14 (or 11/12 at least).

Here's our schedule as of now--
11/09 Arrival day, brunch at Raglan Road, BBB for both girls, 1/2 day at Epcot
11/10 Epcot for last day of Food & Wine, Akershus dinner
11/11 AK (DH's favorite park) for Vet's day, date night for dh & I at Cali Grill
11/12 MK Day 1, Pirates League for both girls , dinner at 1900 Park Fare
11/13 HS, Ohana breakfast
11/14 MK Day 2, currently have a Tony's dinner res but searching for BOG!
11/15 Departure Day tradition-- Kona breakfast!

Excited to geek out about all things WDW with everyone!!! :cool1:

CAN'T WAIT UNTIL November gets here so we can be at Disney!!
We will be staying at CBR instead of POR, since it is not part of the free dining promotion. But we are good with that and will think of it as an adventure. :thumbsup2 My DH and I have decided to keep the trip a secret from our DSs. :rolleyes1

We're keeping it a secret from our DDs, trying to figure out how to do the 'reveal' now, can't wait!!!! We fly out so early in the morning, we're trying to decide if we want to do it the night before, or just wake them up super early and do it that morning. :yay:

And as far as the refurb at our resort, we're just going to make the best of it and I'm not going to let it worry me (yet).

So much fun to surprise the kids!! If you do a search on YouTube, you could get a ton of ideas by seeing what other families have done!! Some are really cute!! We surprised our kids last year... they knew we were going, just didn't know when... It was a lot of fun! We drove, so not sure if it would work for you... But when the kids got in the car, their car seats were full of Disney stuff!! Mickey and Minnie stuffed animals strapped into their seats with Mickey and Minnie ears hats, coloring books, stickers, etc.... They knew as soon as they got in the car and started screaming 'We're going to Disney World!!!!!!!!' It was great!!! Good luck!!!!!!

I love watching all the "surprises" on you Tube! Ok, and sometimes they make me cry!

Happy to know it's not just me!!!! I get SO emotional when I watch them!!! I hate the scavenger hunt ones, I get frustrated watching them and usually skip them! Sometimes they are so long and tedious!!! I want them to just tell the kids already!!!!! LOL LOL

I just know that a lot of us really get so much good out of sharing our trips/planning with others and I would feel badly if there's someone that really wants to be a part of a larger group, but doesn't know about it or how to get into it! Everyone is welcome! :)

Hello Everyone! Me, my husband, Daughter 6, and son 1 will be at Disney World 11/14-11-22. We are stay at Pop for the first time. Can't wait for November!!

LOL, I cry as well, I'm such a baby. I don't think we're going to do a scavenger hunt, I think what we're going to do is wrap up the Magic bands in a gift and give it to them the day before we're leaving as an early Christmas present. We'll let them unwrap them and try to figure out what they are. pixiedust:
