***Official November 2014 thread***

The first week is great because it's still food and wine festival time at epcot, plus the christmas party starts at the end of that week. We always make sure to go to both of those. :) We love it!

That's what we are hoping to do!! We are going to arrive on Halloween and hit that party at MK and then enjoy F&W and also (hopefully) go to the first Christmas party!

Booked AKV Jambo house Nov 11-16:goodvibes The entire trip though, will be from the 7-16, still deciding on where to book the first portion.

We wanted to stay the weekend before at AKV nov 6-10 in a 2 bedroom but nothing was available :( only the 8-10 was. So now were staying at AOA nov 6-10 and then BLT 11/10-11/20.
Is AKV worth doing just two days at? So AOA then AKV then BLT? We have 3 children under 5 and lots of luggage so I'm not sure if I want to switch rooms that many times!

I got a 1 bedroom villa and could only get it for part of my trip. I love AKV from the visits I have made to the resort, this will be my first stay however. I personally agree with your thoughts about not wanting to hop to 3 resorts with the little ones. I would stay at AoA (the kids will LOVE it, definitely busy enough to catch their attention) and BLT and save AKV for another trip down the line. You can always visit the resort and if your schedule allows do some of the resort activities and watch the animals. Enjoy your trip, I am sure it will be magical:goodvibes

Thanks! I'd like to try BOMA so I think we'll take your advice and dedicate some time to visiting the resort! We have several non park days so I think that will work :)

I've booked for November 29th-December 6th, we are leaving the evening of Black Friday from North Carolina and we are going to take the Amtrak. So excited to try that mode of travel. My Boyfriend and I have never ridden a train before and he loves trains. I had to be sneaky to finally get my chance at Disney World....I've been telling him I've wanted to go for the 8 years we have been together. But last year we had a trip to California and I said since we were so close couldn't we do a day at Disneyland? He agreed ( he had never been to a theme park before), and so we got to do our one day and boy did we do the day!...From Morning to close we were there and had a blast! He enjoyed the rides, while his favorite was Star Tours. So when I suggested our vacation this year be at WDW he agreed! I've been in Disney bliss ever since. We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. First day of course we will hit up Disney's Hollywood Studios as he wants to be his first ride Star Tours! Now I haven't been to WDW since 2004. What would be a good park to go to on a Sunday? I'm betting Magic Kingdom will be busy still and may be better to wait until the weekdays? So that leaves us Epcot or Animal Kingdom as our 2nd park to visit? Any suggestions?

Oh yes, we will definitely be going to Boma:thumbsup2 Make sure to get a schedule of the activities that the resort will have.

I guess I'll watch this thread until the Nov '15 is up and running which is when we are going again :)

Any expert Thanksgiving travelers out there?
I am looking for advance on ADRS during that week with discounts. We have Tables in Wonderland Card but it can't be used during Thanksgiving week. We also have APs and are DVC members.
We are trying to decide if we should do the dining plan for this trip since we won't have that many discounts available to use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not telling the kids until we pick them up from school as we leave for the airport. How am I not going to tell them ?!?! I also need to get school work for them, with a slight lie - going to tell them they have a doctor's appointment, so they will miss a day.... Staying off-site, so this time will be different, but they are going to be so excited!

We went 5 years ago, so the kid are all older. So excited!

I dreamt last night MNSSHP dates were released but you needed a FP+ to buy tickets. I was so mad that I didn't have any FP+ left that I took my cat with me to the parks and made him walk around with a leash on.

Obsessed much?

That is funny, thank for the laugh. Soon enough the dates will be released.

Any guesses or ideas when MVMCP & Osborne Lights (decorations in general) will start? I know F&W ends 11/10 & we'd like to overlap the last few days of F&W with the start of the Christmas stuff.

The first MVMCP will more than likely be on November 8th so expect MK to make the transition from fall to Christmas around November 5th or even earlier.

Just FYI - Anyone looking for Nov flights on Jetblue - they have just released their flights! :-) All booked so now our trip feels real!

Do you think they'll have a sale with cheaper flights? They're $111 each way right now from DC, last year we paid $89 each way... Wondering if we should book today or be patient and wait for a sale

I don't think for my flights they will get any cheeper as it is "jersey week" and all flights out of this area are going to be high for that week. I grabbed the fares because they were lower than we were expecting to pay and are quite happy with them. I doubt that our rates will go "on sale" for that week.

Flights from CA are ridiculous right now. More that $400 RT per person. I've never paid that much. I really hope they come down!!
