***********Official "November 2014" thread- Come Join Us!!!! ************

Here's something fun for early November - we're going to the day-early premiere of Big Hero 6 at Disney's El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, November 6th at 7 PM. The reserved VIP seats just went on sale yesterday and they are filling fast so if you want to go, get them quick. They are pricey though ($28 or $34 with limited pin), this is the most expensive movie I've ever gone to! The movie opens everywhere on Friday, November 7th.

The calendar is slowly filling up for November. Looks like Pinocchio and snowwhite rides go down for refurb starting november 12th.

Ah poo! That's Pinocchio, Snow White and Mark Twain gone for our trip :( We only do the gentle rides like those

Hey Pheran,

Do you think the price is more attributable because it's at DLR or because it's before the release date? Probably both I suppose.

Just not sure whether to look into booking because at $60 for the two of us, if we ended up wanting more park time (given we're not there as long as i'd like this time - am i ever?!) it'd be a waste.

That's the El Capitan's regular price for VIP (reserved seating) tickets, there's no price hike for the day-early show. It's just Disney being expensive as usual. If you are concerned about your park time, you might want to pass, because getting to Hollywood and back from Anaheim will certainly cost you some time.

Guess I shoud put myself in here also. We are going to be there from 11/21-11/24. So excited to be going back. Have missed it for the last 9 months.:cool1:

Do you know how long they are scheduled to be closed? And where does it say that they changed the dates?

Right now they are only scheduled to be down november 12th and 13th. Like the pp implied though, disney often changes the schedule of things so it is best to look closer yo your dates for a more accurate schedule. Just go to the entertainment schedule om the disneyland website to see.

Oh, okay--they should be open when I'm there then. I'll check that out, thanks! :)

45 days! (My ticker is a day late, we didn't think we were going to get in til the 22nd but we're getting in the morning of the 21st) Cannnnnnn't wait!

Woo hoo! I know exactly how you feel - I'm so excited! We get in early evening on the 20th and are heading straight for NOS, our favorite land! :cloud9:

We are less than 4 weeks out!!

We have a few ADRs set up, but mostly just going to wing it. I am still trying to decide if I want a mommy daughter date at Ariels Grotto, and can't decide if we should do breakfast or lunch. Anyone have an opinion which is better? It would just be me and dd6.

We are planning 5 days in the parks, 1 day at Sea World and then we were going to do 1 day at either Lego Land or Universal but I think we've decided to take one day off from parks and just relax, not sure what we will do with ourselves that day but hoping the weather might hold out and we can swim at least.

35 days! Getting down there, I predict the rest of this month will fly by!! 35 days until we leave home, but since we're not going straight to Disney, really 39 days until we're at our Happy Place!! Who cares? It's within a month/week!! Smells, sights & sounds of Disney Holiday fun-here we come!!

Also here 35 days till vacation and 38 till Disney. 2 more things to book, everything else is taken care of. Everything that could be planned is planned.

So... Now we wait.

(And get frustrated that you can't go 'AAAAH I'M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!' when at work :P )

I'm going for the first time November 12-17. I'll also be running the Avengers Half Marathon which is on my birthday!

Now all my plans are made I'm working on a costume for the race!

We are surprising our 3 kids, DD 15, DS 11, and DS 10 with a trip in 41 days and it is KILLING me that I can't share my excitement! DD is a huge Disney fan; that's where she's hoping to work during college. She even has Disney songs playing as she gets ready for school in the morning. We are sitting across from each other on laptops; she's doing homework and I'm scanning these boards, and it's taking all my willpower not to share things with her.

The only thing left on my list of things to buy are our park tickets and our tickets for Universal. :cool1:

We still haven't decided on the best way to do the reveal. We've thought about surprising each kid at school somehow, perhaps with a special delivery with an early dismissal, but we're not sold on that. We will be picking them up a little early from school, taking them home to change and pack important things that we might have overlooked, and then we race to the airport. CANNOT wait!!!!!

Are you staying at Castle Inn now? I will be there in 38 days as well :)
