***********Official "November 2014" thread- Come Join Us!!!! ************

Those 2 videos ^^ are the cutest things, ever! I was grinning from ear to ear while watching. Your son is so adorable -- and he and Dale make quite a team (friends for life)!

We are doing a big family trip the 16-21! My family (myself, DH, DS5, DS2), my parents and my sister and her DD5 (who has never been!!) This will be our last big trip before our AP expire :(

Here are some fun photo memories from a trip in Nov of 2009..... DH hamming it up with Cruella DeVille over by the firehouse.
The interaction was hilarious and will always be a fun memory for my DS's.... I missed the whole thing as I was checking in at Town Hall for our later Fantasmic Dessert. Luckily my youngest son was smart enough to snap some pics or I never would have believed it!

and taking a bow!

Great photos - thanks for sharing! It's sooo looong until our November trip and I love stalking the boards to keep the blues away.

I hear you! I put a countdown wiget on my phone and I just looked at it today and got a little depressed lol 155 days to go! Although, I booked plenty of time in advance to get pretty much everything paid off before we go so all we will need is spending cash which is always nice. :cheer2:

I agree - the long wait time is great for being able to really budget. I'm planning for November 2014 and March 2015 at the same time - one budget trip, and one completely over the top splurge trip. It's fun to work on the two plans at the same time, but I'm really feeling like I want to take a long weekend and hop on down for a quick visit!

Since we finally decided on our dates I can officially post here!:cool1: Nov 20-23. The kids are doing a YES program class which we are all signed up for. We've got ressies at BW Raffles Inn. Kids don't know about it yet but they have talked about doing one of those YES classes for months now since their friends have raved about them. So excited to going during the holidays too as we've never been during Nov or Dec.

What is a YES class?:confused3

kkmcan, that's great news!
I have always wanted to get my kids into one of those classes, thought they would really enjoy the Properties of Motion Physics Lab one where they go into the science behind the rides.

Just haven't been able to make the dates work.

Its the Disney Youth Education Series, kids can sign up to take classes at Disneyland, DCA or at WDW. When signed up for a class you can then purchase admission tickets at a better price.

Just paid $300 on our Costco pkg! I'm not sure if I updated this, but for the first time we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel! We have stayed at the PPH many times, usually 3 days maximum, but this time we are staying at the DLH the entire 5 nights! :cool1::banana::love::santa:

We have up until October to pay off the package, since it's so darn expensive, it comes in handy! I'm hoping between now and then they come out with a discount that will apply to our dates, which are Nov. 18-22.

Can whomever is updating this thread update it with our new hotel? I'm not telling our son that we changed, I want him to be surprised! He's not a young boy, he will be 19 this summer, but he loves Disney as much as I do!

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

. What was included in your package and price?

I posted this in the December Check-In thread and in the Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread, but I shall post here too...

The 4th Annual Theme Week Countdown starts in the Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread on Monday, July 21st, and the final theme will take place on Monday, November 3rd (there will be a total of 22 themes spanning 3-1/2 months, with a bonanza of Disneyland Resort holiday photos rolling in during that time, as we wait for info and details of the upcoming holiday season).

See more info Here, and stay tuned to the Superthread for further details about how to enter and win gift Disney cards in the Countdown, which I will explain in that thread as we get closer to 7/21. There will be 2 gift cards given away in a random draw to photo contributors (the more you contribute, the better your chances of winning), and one gift card given away to a non-photo contributor who wins a particular Christmas/holiday-oriented challenge. There will even be one theme (the final one) to which WDW vets (or people who have other non-Disney holiday photos they'd like to share) can contribute.

If you are going to be participating in one way or another, be sure to come to the Superthread and introduce yourselves before July 21st! Don't lurk if you want to participate! I want to know who I might be sending a Disney gift card to when the Countdown is over!:santa:

Sherry E, I can not wait! I love the countdown....it makes the time go by so much faster looking at everyone's wonderful pictures!!!! My photobucket is full...I am soooo excited!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

So excited about DL In November! We have had 9 previous WDW and DL trips, but never decorated for Christmas. This will be the only trip with just the two of us as we had the kids or grandkids in tow. Going all out, finally, and staying at GCH. :yay:

I just booked our trip for November 7 - 11. :goodvibes

It will be a surprise trip for DD's 9th birthday. We surprised DS when he turned 9 a few years ago so DH said we should do the same for DD!

We are staying at Hojo's!

November 3-6

I'm guessing we will be there too early for anything Christmas-y!

We will get halloween for a couple of days the week before though

Yes and no. In this post from the Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread you will see the breakdown of last year's season, and when everything went up -- including decorations. I am leaving last year's info in there for reference until we get more info about this year, specifically so people will know what might be up and out during their trips.

:thumbsup2

Is there much info on any closures over this time (other than Matterhorn)? For any overlays being done etc i guess

And it'll be our first wedding anniversary!!

That means we can get a badge! Yay!

I'm surprising my DGD6 with a last-minute trip! We were both feeling pretty blue about how far off our November trip is, so I worked some magic and we're going to drive down for a quick 4-day trip on July 11th. This will be the first time we completely wing it - only one dining reservation, and the rest we will make up as we go. I can't wait to tell her! :rotfl:
