Did you get thru yet? the CM told me that if I really wanted to do my Split Stay she would have looked into other hotels but after hearing everything on the other threads I didnt want to risk losing it so I booked.
I really would love for you to be there during the same time & I hope you really find what you want.

I'm joining you all here in the November thread! Just booked POR Royal Room Garden View for the 17-22.

That's the other one that we were debating, too. I was looking at historical offers, and FD hadn't been offered at POFQ in the past. However, it was offered on the PIN we were using, so we decided on POFQ.

As in the past, the new FD offer does NOT have POFQ, so I'm glad we made this decision. We're making our way through the moderates, so likely POR next time!

We went from AoA to the POLY! (hopefully my OCD doesn't kick in to switch it again!)

Oh no... DH and I waited on hold for over an hour to get the free dining offer... It's now past midnight here in Australia and we found out there are no free dining offers left for the Beach Club Villas, which is where we are booked. So sad!

We could have switched resorts to the Boardwalk and saved $800... But we've been so excited to stay at the Beach Club, so we didn't swap. It's not like we go to WDW every year - all the way from Australia! - so we really want to be happy with where we're staying.

But then on the other hand, it's $800!

Are we crazy?! Eeeep!

That's how I'm starting to feel. I'm considering switching to the first week n Dec, since I have a on that includes that week. The sites that make the calendars show that week as busier then the 3rd week in November when were booked but I wonder if they took into account FD would not be offered to the general public that week.

I don't think so. I believe, based on both the October & November threads and FB groups, that only a limited number of rooms were available at each resort for the offers. And by limited, I mean very few. I feel so awful for the people who wanted/needed the discounts. However, it's still a very slow time of year (comparably) and I think we'll be just fine.

I got through...nothing available though.
The best deal my really nice cm could find was BC with free dining which would be $350 over what POR would cost us with the DP. sigh. I'm still holding out for enough cancellations causing them to open up more POR rooms.

We got on the FD train this morning and switched to Pop! My dd is sad that we are not longer at Ariel's hotel, but for the savings, it was worth it for us to switch!

We changed to November 1st through November 10th at POR. 2 adults and 3 kids with a garden view. I didn't want a garden view but there were no more standard

Not crazy ... I had this quandry a few months ago too (we're DVC).

DH really wanted Boardwalk, and its a great resort (we stayed there last year). He loved how convenient it was, walking to both Epcot and DHS, our two favorite resorts, having all the restaurants, etc right downstairs. What tipped the scale for me in the end was: there was no BW or Standard views available at Boardwalk, and for the same amount of points for a pool/garden view at BWV, I could get BCV, where we haven't stayed before and there is STORM ALONG BAY!

Personally if it meant $800 ... I'd go with Boardwalk. It really is pretty great. But I understand your wanting to go with BCV, I'm hoping DH will love it as much as he loved BWV (doubtful since he's not as much of a pool person as DS and I are).

I recently heard about this Target 5% discounted RED CARD and I tried it last week. I purchased $250 worth of Disney Gift cards and gave the cashier my 5% discount card and sure enough they were discounted the 5%. It may not seem like much.....but any disney discount is better than no disney discount

Btw, what the Target 5% off works for is all "Entertainment Cards". This includes restaurants and travel (and I think the electronic Google Play-type cards, too but I don't buy any of those). I like to buy Chick-Fil-A gift cards, or Outback if I know where going soonish. They also work on Southwest Gift Cards, so if you know you have the flights to be coming up ...

I got about $700 for my maintenance fees for my DVC and some of that may go towards my dining for this trip. Unfortunately my bank and the Target bank don't get along so it seems like every time I use my Target debit card it decides I'm trying to make a fraudulent purchase and I have to call both the card and the bank to get it turned back on. It got to be too much of a hassle so I stopped a few months ago.

But also, for West Coasters, Safeway is giving 4x gas rewards for gift cards atm, so it works out to about the same savings ... so I've been picking up small increment ones there every week or two.
