***Official November 2013***

And I'm in Foxboro. We'd normally fly out of Providence but got a great deal out of Worcester when Jetblue announced they'd be flying from there starting in November.

We were going to fly out of Boston, but were also able to get that fantastic deal out of Worcester the day they were announcing Jetblue's plans. Infact we got the first 4 seats on the plan.
:goodvibes There has been a lot of good vibes about this trip.

Hubby's request was that we fly direct and JetBlue so that made his wish even happier. Especially since we live about 30 minutes from there. Plenty of options to get rides to and from the airport!!!

I've been doing a lot of happy dances! :cool1:

Hi fig, QQ for u.... Ur staying at OKW right? Did you book a 2bdrm or a 1? I'm considering this for a few extra days we have planned but I can't seem to find any pictures of playgrounds or a kids pool. I saw a few pics at ss bug for some reason I have a better vibe for OKW. I never stayed at either. :) any advise u can give on the hotel would be appreciated :flower3:

Hey! We have a 1br....the kids will be fine on the pull outs. If you need pictures, take a look at Allears.net and you can also do a search on YouTube (that's how I found out what the layout really looks like). I also remember visiting an OKW website, but I have the address at work. If you want, I can get it for you tomorrow.

Hi everyone.
I'm subscribing and hoping to join the FB page. We are going to DW from Nov. 16-23 and staying at Pop with FD. :cool1: We're all very excited. This is our third trip but first in November. My mother, her hubby and my nephew (13) are also going and it is their first trip.

We are doing 4 days at the parks, one night at MVMCP and a day at IOA. I'm looking forward to the wait with everyone.

Hello!

We will be at the World November 12- 16 for a grand birthday celebration!!! Mine!!! :cool1: The big 3-8, where else would I want to be???

DH and I will be staying at AKL first night, the rest of our stay in an AoA LM room. First time at this resort, first time without the DP!!! We're gonna wing it and we're PSYCHED!! Sad about just missing F&W though.

My mom, brother and sister-in-law will all be there as well, staying at BWV.

Yay November 2013!

Was just reading on Tikiman's FB page that Construction walls for DVC will start going up September 7th.

I am so glad we decided to change resorts for our trip in November. I really do not like those construction walls!

Hi figment, slight change in our trip. Pofq 11/10 then POR 11/11-11/17:cool1:
Can't wait for this trip. Noticed quite a few New Englanders going in November to try to escape the cold:thumbsup2

Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with kids, grandkids and parents from Nov. 15-25 @ POP wit hfree dining :D.

Our 25th Anniversary month too!!! Actual date is Nov. 5th but we waited a couple weeks because another couple/friends wanted to join us. We will be there the 16th - 23rd at CSR.

For those wondering like I did and skipped to the last page of posts, the first page of this thread, FigmentChick is keeping a list of when we are all there.

This is a really great group.
Hmmm we should print up some DIS stickers and wear them in the parks so we can recognize each other in the parks. :) I did that for another group and it was a lot of fun finding each other at the event we were at.
We only see screen names and not faces.

Yes I am noticing a lot of RI, MA, CT popping on here. I haven't noticed NH or ME yet. For us it's not as much about escaping the cold as running for a break from every day life. Looking for some pixiedust:

We are going 11/2-11/15 and staying at ASMu. So I am running a problem I have never had before. We realize you can only buy 10 day tickets and we have 12 and 1/4 days that we could truly use. Now I have to decide which days to not head out to the parks. Which we've never done before. I suppose this is a good problem to have in the grand scheme of things. :upsidedow

Wow! Look at all the new people!!! :welcome: I'm going to update the first post right now! :)

Trying to catch up on our shows (we're nine episodes behind on one) and doing some Disney things because with my ADHD I can't just do one thing. lol

Hubby & I took our youngest to the beach yesterday while the older two stayed home (they didn't wanna go). As much as I was on the beach at the hottest part of the day, it was great. I'm so pale, I normally just burst in to flame the second I step outside and I didn't burn :yay: . We set up on a cove where the bay goes in to the ocean. It was just perfect! The waves were much calmer than the ocean side and my son just had a blast playing in the sand!

Next weekend, I'm hoping to head to Rehoboth Beach, DE for some shopping and boardwalk fries (oh, and some rides for the kids).

OK....now back to our regularly scheduled Disney planning.....

Don't forget Board Walk, Downtown Disney and the minigolf places.
And there is bowling in Downtown Disney.
You could also do a day of checking out the various resorts.
Disney Quest........

So much to do and yes you have a good problem to have.
All the resorts have fun things....pools...carriage rides...boat rentals....arcades....Lots of non-park things to do.
We aren't going to SeaWorld but is there a shuttle over to there? I don't know what/where ASMu is, so not sure if you will have a rental car.
I'm sure I could do a week of no parks and not get board.
OH OH is it Allstar music? :)

I bet there is a thread about what to do when not in the parks.
I know the books I have for Disney have tons of information.
Yes indeed, nice problem to have.

There is a ton of things to do outside the parks! First, you can relax in your resort; nothing better than actually resting on your vacation. :rotfl: Also, our family spends time at Downtown Disney. There is a lot to take in....lots of shops to window-shop at, and Once Upon A Toy is fun to play in. Then, you can visit other resorts. The Boardwalk is simply beautiful (and actually does remind me a lot of our Jersey boardwalks), and take a stroll inside and you'll see miniatures of old roller coasters, boats, etc. It's just really neat!

Oh! Oh!! You could have some spa time! I know the Grand Floridian just redid their spa and I've seen the pictures. Oh. My. Goodness. I don't like spas, but I did visit the one at Shades of Green last trip and enjoyed my reflexology massage (not my back massage....that's a whole other story).

I was trying to think of free things, not paid things, but you could do mini-golf as well.

As Joyce said, I'm sure there's a thread somewhere for things to do not in the parks. :)

I know there was one more thing!!! LOL (I'd forget my brain sometimes.....)

If you want to join the FB group, just search for 2013 November Disney trip. It's a closed group, so I need to approve you, but it shouldn't be a long delay.

We always try to do some kind of lime green Mickey head, to represent the dis with my username on them. Normally sort of like a keychain to wear in the parks, and we usually attach a Mickey head to our resort door somehow to, once again with my username. Normally we don't see any others, and no one seems to notice. If anyone notices they don't say anything. We'll definitely still do it, so if you see a lime green Mickey head with my username don't hesitate to say hi!

on the Mini-golf point.....isn't there something in the packages (that is if you got a package) that gives you a round of free golf? If I remember right at least one person got the free mini golf.
:woohoo:
I'm making my husband go with me. On our honeymoon he "cheated" when playing minigolf so I'm challenging him again.....25 years later. :yay:

I know not related to the poster's question here but which Jersey shore point was Disney's Boardwalk modeled after? AC? Wildwood?
I agree though, I could spend a TON of time in DTD, at the stores, the Lego store for one, the candy store, and of course Once Upon a Toy! My kids have never been but I'm sure even they would be o.k. with that sort of shopping! There is also Disney Quest there if your kids like that sort of thing.
