***Official November 2013 - Part II*** (that's right....we're that popular!)

That is what would happen to me, my kids make fun of me that by the time I get off the grocery line I know the entire life story of the person who I was on line with.

We are a blast - and modest too ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That's me! And that is why I'm not too nervous about going on a solo trip to Disney. I'm hoping to meet people like you.
The only problem for me is sometimes I share WAY too much information.
My thing is everyone has a story that makes them who they are today.
I love that part of people.

Amazing the connections you can make chatting with people. It truly is a small world!!!!

Sheilby, I'll be looking for you. LOL

:grouphug:

I packed handwarmers! We may be from Minnesota but I do not like being cold!

From Minnesota and you need handwarmers for Florida!?!? Too funny.

Ok if you are going Thanksgiving week do not look at these long range forecasts! Not 1 day of sunshine, seriously? I am not going to look again!!!!!!! I don't know why they even bother to do forecasts over 10 days away.

I don't know why they do either, it changes SOOOOO much in that time. Gives us something to do though to pass the time until Disney :)

Since some of you were counting down in sleeps, I have 4 more sleeps!!!!:cool1:

3 sleeps here!

I agree with your husband on the credit card to survive. The only thing I'm not trusting is my bathing suit. LOL It took me a long time to find something I liked as my size/body shape is not a pull a bathing suit off the rack kind of thing. I'm hoping to check all my luggage too. I guess we'll see about that in the next day or so when I start loading the suitcase.

And last time I was there my KTTW card was as you said. (then again I carried it on a lanyard around my neck) I didn't have to carry anything else. Well I did have my license and credit card only because I don't get Disney Visa discount if I don't have the card. But thats nothing.
Again I wasn't in charge of a whole family of cards sooooooooo. It was more work when we brought our sons as I had to pack a back pack of things to take care of their needs. But I should be easy peasy this time.

:cool1: 6 more days!!!!!

That is the only thing I thing I will have to stick in with my carryon, my bathing suit. It isn't particularly nice, but I'm pretty round and I would be scared I wouldn't be able to find something that covered me as much as I like.

I was in change of 7 cards last time, that was a bit annoying because after I pulled FPs I would have to dole them back out so that everyone could access their meal plan and be able to charge things and get back in the room if we were separated. This time I'll hold all the backup cards but everyone will have their bands so no need to keep doling them out and recollecting them.

Ha, don't worry, I'll be easy to find, I'm short, round and LOUD. ;) We are a 3 generation group of 7 and my 3 boys look identical despite the fact that they are all at least 3 years apart. Just don't call my oldest a girl, he has long hair and looks like me so sometimes people do mistake him for one. I'll often be running off with my younger two to ride the thrill rides.

Made me look! Made me look!

:rotfl2: Me too! :rotfl:

I like sunshine! I'll take the cooler weather as long as there is sunshine.

Going to see Annie today. I wish it was like last year when everyone seemed to be doing Disney shows. But that's ok. I can sing "The sun will come out, tomorrow!" and know there is meaning in it for me.

Sheilby, you nailed it. I'm not super short/round but enough that the bathing suits on the racks are not going to be an easy to find fit. I have an over sized purse/carry on that it's just easier to keep it in there. I'll throw some nylon sweat pants in there too just incase.

We are flying out of a really small airport on Jetblue. So the chances of our luggage getting lost are much less than yours since there is only one flight out of that airport in the morning and that is the one to Orlando. Unless they lose it in Orlando, we'll be fine. At least it will be in Florida. :-)

 I can't believe I can now say "I'm leaving for Florida this week".

We only checked one bag our last trip and manhandled our carry-ons through the airport with our 3 boys who were 10, 7 and 3 at the time. Honestly, it was a huge pain and I wouldn't do it again. This time we are pretty much checking everything since we get a checked bag with each ticket. I was going to pack one carry-on with a change of clothes for everyone in case they lose all the luggage, but my husband said we are going to Florida, not a 3rd world country and as long as we have a credit card we will survive ;) Now we will probably just carry on our electronics and stuff we need for the park that day.

Same here this year we are only taking one carry-on for electronics. Between curbside check-in and ME it's just easier to check everything. Thanks to SW we are allowed 2 free checked bags each.

This is exactly what we always do and we usually fly SW too; there is just way too much stuff we are already lugging through the airport to be taking our luggage too.

Unfortunately on this trip though, we didn't get a direct flight down. SW lost our luggage with the transfer (as well as everyone else that had the same itinerary) and we didn't get our luggage until 36hrs later.:headache: So we spent our entire first day at WDW with dirty clothes and a little toothpaste to fingerbrush our teeth with. We showered but had to put our dirty clothes back on and had no swimsuits. It was not a magical way to start the trip.

Needless to say on future trips we will take one rolling carry on with one change of clothes, swimsuits, and toothbrushes for all of us.

So the point of my long story is to take one carry on just in case. Good luck!

I think I've decided to take 2 large checked suitcases and a carrying with change of clothes, medicine, camera, etc for dh and I. Dh really doesn't need a large suitcase but I'm going to need the room to pack gifts for the grandbabies. I already know I'm getting a box of mr potato head parts.

Does anyone know how much locker rental at MK are now?

Large lockers, which we always rent to hold sweatshirts and raincoats are $14, with $5 refund at key return. One park doesn't have large lockers (HS?) and the cost was $12.

Thanks a bunch. I'm running out of things to check.

You laugh, I cry.
Packing isn't that easy. I managed to get some thins together but either something was too snug or the item I really wanted to wear just wasn't working with the capris I want to pack.

So I'm sort of packed. DH just threw clothes in the suitcase and said "I'm done".
Ya like I'm not going to recheck it all. Sneak a couple things I want him to bring into the suitcase. And overflow my stuff into his suitcase. LOL
But we should be able to do this in 2 check in bags and a small carry on.

I have 5 days to pack, unpack and repack.

I'm seeing a lot of you are leaving before me. sigh. It's going to be so quiet here.

I am starting to panic. So much to do and the countdown is nearing the end. I really REALLY wish I had a day off between now and Thursday!

Ok my November Diser Peeps that are leaving a few days before me.
If you will be checking in with us, please let me know what the difference between the 80 degree day time and the cooler nights will mean for a jacket/sweatshirt for me. I think I'm coping with the other packing ok but I'm getting hung up on what to bring for at night. Dumb New England weather has me messed up.

:goodvibes
