2 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 weeks. The first week we use for resort time, DTD, SW, all ADR's and going resort hopping to see all the Christmas trees and decorations! Then the second week is just for Disney Parks!

3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!

We will try for a similar schedule next time. Smart!

Well, we are back :) Everything went pretty well. We were tired from a few too many long days in a row but we all got to see and do what we wanted!!! It was so fun watching the kids light up! We've got some sweet leg muscles to flex now too with all the walking ;)

A few points:

The dining plan worked well for us but boy oh boy it's a crapload of food. We definitely felt it was overindulgent. We will still likely do it again but tweak its usage with what we know now.

Cast members in parks were great and friendly. POP staff were very nice too but lacked something...can't quite put my finger on it.

MVMCP was very busy with some pushy people but overall a good experience. Not sure we will do it again though. Loved the Christmas Parade but Regular Wishes is way better (in my opinion).

The bus system worked well every day except the two times we used busses to DTD. Took forever! We once missed an ADR but were rescheduled easily. Great manager :).

Character experiences were totally awesome!

MBs worked great!!!. We did use our key cards for two additional paper fastpasses. Call it double dipping but we were told by cast members it was a non issue and we definitely didn't overdo it. Glad we did as we got on two rides we normally don't get a chance on/put as plan Bs.

My one/the only major negative is that POP and the parks seemed messier/dirtier/dingy than ever before. I said "ew" a few too many times.

I'm also personally bummed at my pictures. I'm just not the best photog and hubby is worse. With crowds a bit higher than normal and trying to live in the moment (not just take pics), it was hard to capture some of the great things.

Happy you had such a good time! That stinks about the pictures, but it's better than nothing, and you'll always have the memories!! :)

We rebooked for 11/6-11/16! We stayed at poly this time, trying GF next :)

My husband and i always stayed at french quarter, but my dream is one trip at the poly. Did you love it ? Do you think its worth the experience to try once? It is so costly. It looks so nice though the rooms look different then the usual rooms:yay::wizard:

Have a great time and a safe trip!! Maybe we'll see you there! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :wave2: 2 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be awesome!! Have a safe trip!! We are about 2 hours away and it has been a good trip so far. Jamming to Christmas music!! I hear it has been pouring at Disney. I hope it slacks off enough Forbus to unload this car. We are PACKED in here!! Traveling with a 15 year old girl= to many travel bags!!

Yes the rain has been terrible and making my kids miserable. I believe it is done now for a while and our last 21/2 days should be dry. : ) have fun!

To anyone leaving today, have a safe trip and a great time!!!!!

Sorry that I haven't had time to read through all I missed while away. We only had our iPhones on trip and I'm doing laundry etc. now. But here is what I've written this morning:

We arrived home last night following our 1 week stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Here is just a quick recap of our trip taken November 14 – 21, 2013.
We flew into MCO and took the Magical Express. From stepping off the plane to arrival at WL took around 80 minutes. ME dropped off passengers at the Poly and GF before WL. Check-in went smoothly with no lines. We had booked Woods View with bunk beds. I requested 5th floor, North Wing, Wishes view. We were given room 4020 which is in North Wing and it had a fairly good view of Wishes through the trees. I had also asked for special cleaning due to allergies. In February we had asked for special cleaning at Port Orleans Riverside and that room was spotless. This was not the case at WL. The major dirt was the floor of the closet that had been completely missed. I discovered that as I dropped DH’s navy pants while I was trying to clip them onto a hanger and they fell to the floor and were instantly covered in dust and long hair. Other than that, the room was fine and DGS enjoyed having the top bunk to sleep in and the lower bunk to spread some of his stuff on. We still found him taking over our bed to play on at various points, lol.

Our Magic Bands worked perfectly for everything; room entry, charges & most importantly FP+. We were all issued KTTW cards at check-in and I pulled some regular FPs with those.

Crowds were low, as expected, during our week. Toy Story Midway Mania was the only Fast Pass attraction that had no passes left for the day by around 10 am so I’m glad we were able to book FP+ for that one especially. We were able to pull extra FPs for Soarin as late as 3:30 pm with a return time of 6:20 – 7:20 pm. We had FP+ for Soarin between 10 – 11 am and could have pulled extra FPs then but they were for a time we’d be in World Showcase. Our other FP+ in EP were TT & MS in the afternoon but their stand-by waits were only 10 – 15 minutes when we used our FP+. So MS was another attraction we did twice in a row.

Magic Kingdom was the park we visited twice, while AK, EP & DHS were each done once. The only rope drop we made was day 1 for the MK. Therefore, FP+ worked especially nice for us. On Big Thunder Mountain DGS learned that he did not like “big” roller coasters screaming that he wanted to get off only ¼ of the way through the ride. So I knew then to use MDE to change experiences in place of Space Mountain and that he could skip the single rider lines for RNRC and Dinosaur which we didn’t plan on doing ourselves. Splash Mountain was such a hit that we did it 4 times! Surprisingly, the stand-by wait was only 10 minutes when we were there.

We only had one mostly rainy day which was Saturday, the 16th. We did Animal Kingdom that day and shortened our itinerary there due to the hassle of being in and out of our ponchos. I’m glad we got to see FOTLK, a favorite show of mine, since it will be on hiatus prior to its move to new location when DH & I return in February. Also, the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris were all out and about in the rain including the male lion and two lionesses. We also saw the zebras while on KS this time. We abandoned our plans for our favorite CS (Flame Tree BBQ) due to the rain but walked in and were seated at Yak & Yeti which still had plenty of space at 11:30 am. They were full by the time we finished our lunch. Not knowing if the Jingle Jangle Parade would go on due to the rain we left the park around 3 pm and grandson got a lot of homework done once we got back to our room.

Special Magical experience thanks to staff at WL: Travis checked us in and I inquired about rooftop Wishes viewing. He did some checking and set that up for us for Nov. 15th which was a MVMCP night with the larger fireworks show. We reported to the Concierge Desk at 9:15 pm and Samuel took us up to the 7th floor. From there we walked through a door and up the stairs to the 7 1/2th floor. The next door leads outside and you walk up several more steps outdoors to a small section of rooftop. We were the only ones up there with Samuel who said this is his favorite part of working at WL. Seeing all of Magic Kingdom lit up and watching the fireworks from here was truly beautiful. Of course, you also can see the CR and if you turn around 180 degrees you can see Spaceship Earth in the far distance.

Pixie Dusted in DHS by a CM near Star Tours who gave DGS a FP for up to 3 guests for one more trip on Star Tours any time that day. This was after we had gone stand-by once and used our FP+ for a second consecutive ride.

Lifetime memories continued as we were in the jet way to board our flight home and the captain passed by us. I mentioned to him that this trip had been the first one for our grandson to remember because his only other flights were when he was a year old. The captain then spoke to Jason and told him to take a left turn when he stepped on the plane and come to visit him to see how he flew the plane. J. was invited to sit in the co-pilot’s seat, I was surprised how much time the captain took talking with him & showing him how the controls work etc. Such a kind gesture of that fine gentleman.

I'll try to check back on here to answer any specific questions.

Just got back from 10 days at Art of Animation. Some quick thoughts - the weather was great. Warm everyday, just a few days with a little rain. AofA was great. Very nice resort. Buses can get crowded bit I guess that's to be expected there. Never waited more than 10 min for any attraction. Bands worked great, including FP+. Be Our Guest is a must do for dinner. Loved it! Did MVMCP. In my opinion it was nice, but not sure it's worth the $400+ for a family of six. Especially since ride lines were low anyway. Feel free to ask any questions.

So we leave today. We have a breakfast ADR at Chef Mickeys & then are heading over to the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house.

All in all this has been a great trip. I was worried at first regarding the 3 FP+ limit (POP does not give KTTW anymore) but it ended up being perfectly fine. At MK, both Monday & Wed, the longest wait time we seen was 20 mins and even then it wasn't even a 20 min ride. AK all had like a 10 min wait on Tues, including the headliners. HS for the most part had 10 min wait times except TSM. When we used or FP (at 9:10am, the standby line was 20 mins, when we got done we were going to ride again so we went into standby, we decided after a min or so not to wait & when we looked up it was up to 30 mins & then 5 mins later it was at 45 mins. I think the longest it was at though was 60 mins. Epcot was the same as HS yesterday, the longest waiting one was Soarin & the last time I checked that was at a 30 min wait. We were even able to ride multiple rides multiple times with no problem.

Our dinning experience has been good. We did 'Ohanas on Monday, Raglan Rd on Tues, Crystal Palace breakfast on Wed, Sci Fi on Thurs & Coral Reef yesterday. All in all the meals were good. Wasn't really a fan of 'Ohanas or the shepards pie at Raglan Rd. Crystal Palace was amazing as usual & Samy our waitress was so entertaining. My DH ended up eating lots of food this week, everything my DD or I didn't eat he did. Lol My absolute favorite counter service this week though is actually a tie, the holiday sandwich at Earl of Sandwich & BOG. The braised pork was just so tender & melt in your mouth & the masters cupcake was delicious.

POP has been great all week. We received my requests, 50's building 1, ground floor. Our room was right behind the laundry room & at first I thought it would loud but it wasn't at all. The room has been cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. We had a fridge but not new bedding, but that's ok. We only ate dinner here once & it was ok but I'm glad we didn't the rest of the week. The menu is so much smaller & limited then last year however their POP waffle was great every morning. The bus transportation has been good as well. We never had to wait more then 5-10 mins for a bus, either going to the parks or coming back. We did do an experiment once though. We took the AOA bus back & walked to our room, it was a 10 min walk(DH timed it, lol). We thought it wasn't worth it when we all had sore feet & were tired. The Christmas tree is up & it's so pretty.

I'm sad to be leaving soon & even sadder that we don't get to come back next year as this has been such a great trip. Even my DH doesn't want to leave & that's just not normal for him. lol

Anyone arriving this weekend or soon I hope you have a great trip!!!!
