We changed our minds, we ARE going to MVMCP on NOv. 13!! Since we are staying at moderate POFQ, we can afford a few extras! Plus we have FD.

According to allearsnet the Castle Dream Lights begin 11/8 and run till 1/3.

Thanks. But of course that's bad news for us; our last nights in WDW are 11/8 and 11/9, but they are both MVMCP nights and we aren't going. We have a beautiful family photo with the icicle lights on the castle, but not since DD(3) came along. I guess that's something for a future trip.

If they turn on the lights when it gets dark hopefully you can get a picture before the party starts at 7:00.

I can't leave without getting a lanyard and trading pins with the CMs. I love that each of my kids has a lanyard with pins for each trip we have taken to WDW. One time my son collected Stitches, one time he collected hidden mickeys. Daughter always collects the princesses. The first trip only my kids did it, but I found myself wanting to trade pins for them, and struggling to keep my mouth shut. So now I do it too. Last time we went, DMom, DBrother, DSIL and Dniece and Dnephew did it too. We had so much fun with it.

I usually at least by a Christmas ornament to go on the tree, so when we look at our tree every year we can remember our WDW trips. It's not as special as it used to be because they don't have the resort specific ornaments anymore.

Do you have a Pandora bracelet or one similar? If so, Disney has both very expensive charms that fit that size and very affordable ones. I'm not sure how the cheaper ones hold up, but I bought a few for my Mother-in-law to see how they work out on her Pandora. So far so good!

Hurray, another pin trader! My 17 year old occasionally trades pins, but he isn't into it like he use to be. We use to go to the PTN years ago at the Contemporary, Port Orleans, and All Star Sports, back when they all had Pin trading nights. Do they even do any of that any more? He still has 2 giant cork boards of Chip and Dale pins. Now our 7 year old trades and he doesn't collect anything in particular. I use to collect sparkly Tink pins.

I don't think I ever noticed the resort specific ornament in the past. That's too bad. I hope you find a very special one this year, even if it won't be resort specific.

Lucky you!!! we tried to get CSR but it said no availability for the FD dates we are going so we'll be at POFQ instead ,hoping we'll like it, we'll be there on Nov 3 too

I just read that starting the end of October ADR's for character and signature will require a credit card to hold the reservation. Cancellation will be acceptable within a certain time frame (I think I read up to 24 hours. I need to pay more attention.)
