**Official MVMCP, 2010!** Guest list, tips and info.

I was thinking November 11th also! :scared1: Eek! I wonder if I should get tickets now, or still wait?
We haven't bought ours yet either. I want to wait as long as possible in case we have to change our dates again. But, like you, I'm getting a little antsy!!! :hyper:

Updated :goodvibes

I added ADRs if you had listed them. Let me know if I got any wrong, and I'll be happy to fix it. :santa: AND, if you want to add an ADR, I'm happy to do that, too. :santa:

I'm so excited! I bought red, green and white yarn today. I'm going to make matching scarfs for us to wear to MVMCP. :yay: I just hope DH will wear his!!! :rolleyes1

I just added a TIPS AND INFO. section to our thread in post #2. Let me know if you have anything you'd like to add. :santa:

Still thinking about adding the MVMCP. I was wondering though, and sorry if this has been asked, but why are some night not a pre-sale discount? Does that mean they are super busy then? Many of the dates during our trip in the beginning of Dec are non pre-sale discount days.

In interest of full disclosure, I haven't yet read all 12 pages. I have been looking at other threads, and I guess I'll have to call WDW directly, but does anyone know what qualifies as "advance purchase"?

1 day? 7 days? a month.
Our group of 6 would like to go but I'd like to wait a little longer (I know I take a risk of it selling out but we'll be there Nov 8-15th and attendance seems low) to see what the weather will be like.

I imagine the MVMCP is rain or shine, but it doesn't sound very fun to be there 7pm-12am, watching the additional parades and shows in the rain.

Anyone know the definition of "advance purchase"??

Thanks,
Wheelie

This is the small print on the Disney website:
*Advance Purchase Price not available on 12/7, 12/10, 12/12, 12/17, 12/19. All other select nights, when purchased prior to the day of the event: $53.95 + tax (Ages 10+) $47.95 + tax (Ages 3 - 9); Day-Of Event Prices: $59.95 + tax (Ages 10+) $53.95 + tax (Ages 3 - 9);

-Not sure WHY those nights are not available at a discount???? I, too hope that doesn't mean its going to be crazy crowded. :eek:

-It looks like you can get the Advance Purchase Price any time before the actual day of the event. :thumbsup2

Hey, if I'm in Disney, and not at work then the rain will be magical. I remember my senior class trip way back in 1988. It rained the days we were in MK and Epcot, and we still had a blast. No lines. Might be a little different now that I am a bit older, but I think I could still find a way to enjoy myself.

Having said that, I will now spread some pixie dust that will eliminate the chance of rain on my vacation.

Thanks TruBlue, I had to put my browser setting on 400% zoom to see that writing *Advance Purchase Price not available on 12/7, 12/10, 12/12, 12/17, 12/19. All other select nights, when purchased prior to the day of the event: $53.95 + tax (Ages 10+) $47.95 + tax (Ages 3 - 9); Day-Of Event Prices: $59.95 + tax (Ages 10+) $53.95 + tax (Ages 3 - 9);

Rain can be magical for sure, but I'm not sure it would be magical for 2-3 stage shows, the parade and fireworks. All outside. We spent a day at DHS in the rain last year and it was OK but we were able to get in and out.

My Family and I are going November 12th!! This is our first Christmas Party and we can't wait!! We have been to MNSSHP many times and love it!! Hope this is as much fun!

I haven't bought our tickets yet either with the thought of weather in the back of my mind. As we are planning to go November 16th I'm not too worried about it being sold out (hope not anyway!). I'm hoping the weather will be decent as we fully intend to go that night. Made ADR for 5:10 at Liberty Tavern in preparation!

Didnt realize CP was quite the hot spot on party nights....whats a better time 5:05p or 3:30p. I have 5:05 adr, but there is a 3:30 still available. I really dont want to miss the lighting of the castle, but 3;30 seems early for dinner.
TIA for any advice :)
